HEY KIDS! Like CoD, but can't stand that disgusting "realism"? Have I got the game for you!

 

Gotham City Impostors looked like about the worst cash-in title I'd ever seen at first glance, but I finally played it yesterday now that the Steam version if Free to Play, and let me just say how wrong I was. This game is amazing, and fully worth the 15 dollars it cost prior to going free.

 

Basic gameplay is handled basically the same as in CoD, but it's all mixed up and made ten times more interesting with the character classes and gimmick items. Characters exist on a continuum from fastest & weakest to slowest & strongest, and the gimmick items range from permanently-equipped roller skates to home-made jetpacks. The gimmicks in particular add so much variety to the game, and really elevate it above every single other free-to-play FPS game, sans TF2.

 

I highly recommend you check it out. Be warned, though, it's not exactly perfectly optimized for PC. I run the game with hardly any problems, but I have a friend who had a lot more trouble than I did getting it to run.
