That much I can agree with if the Wonderbolts never get an episode to themselves alongside Celestia getting one of her own as well after so many seasons so far.

I actually liked a lot how they were portrayed in Newbie Dash, and I was really happy that for once I liked them. They did hurt Rainbow Dash's feelings, but they had no way to know she had a very bad experience with the name "Crash", nor were they being stupid or mean spirited, they were doing it as a sign of respect, it was Rainbow's fault that in instead of expressing her concerns she started acting weird in a desperate attempt to stand out.

 

At this point it's pretty clear she has them beat in flying ability, heck, Lightning Dust is also probably better than them, but they can't just accept ponies because of their flying ability alone, they need ponies who are also willing to cooperate. They are a team and they act as one, not as individuals.
