  1. I don't think there's been a truly bad season of the show, otherwise I wouldn't be here after 182 episodes. That being said, my least favorite season is definitely season 4, which is funny considering it was my favorite when it first aired, but I don't think it has aged well. It had a lot of episodes that went from mediocre to terrible, and the flaws with the good episodes keep becoming more noticeable as time goes.
  2. Crhysalis: I know better than to strike alone. I need... Evil Twilight: ...friends? Never had the show ever delivered a friendship lesson so quickly, efficiently, smoothly, hilariously, and ironically since it's coming from a villain. The dialog in this episode was some of the best from the show, I need more Evil Twilight in my life.
  3. I already knew the show from watching it with my little sister, and I kind of liked it, so the idea that it had a fandom didn't seen weird to me at all. I became so intrigued I watched the whole show and I've been a brony ever since.
  4. There is just plenty to dislike about this one: Fluttershy becoming so mean for no reason, shoe-horning the rest of the mane 6 into the problem, the fact that these ponies can somehow travel now from city to city like it's nothing, etc.... However, Fluttershy's alter egos are pretty much the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life, and they only keep getting funnier the more I watch them, so much that I can't say this episode is bad or even mediocre. It could've been a great episode with a couple of re-writes, but even if it turned out to be a hot mess it's still worth it getting through the bad parts, so I'll give it that. Also this scene is pure gold, I love how no friendship speech was needed to turn FS back to normal:
  5. 178 cm, or 5'10". It's a pretty good height imo.
  6. It means "owl" in Turkish (written as "baykuş"). I was learning Turkish in Duolingo and I thought it was a cool word, specially because it literally translates as "Mr. Bird".
  7. I've considered myself bisexual before, but now I think I'm just gay, albeit a little flexible.
  8. Not at all, I haven't lived with them since I was 16 and I miss them, so I'm usually happy when I'm with them.
  9. Yes, I love me some red wine and also some beer. I always drink with moderation though, unlike most of my peers I've never been hungover
  10. Yes, or at least I do at the moment, I can't speak for myself in the future. The answer to that used to be no, but for some reason I've been warming up to the idea more and more, I see kids in the street with their parents and rather than find them annoying like I used to I find them adorable and I imagine myself with my own. I don't know what triggered that change but well, I still have plenty of time to consider it.
  11. Birdman, I had to watch it for a class. Good movie, I'm not entirely sure about the story (although maybe I'm not supposed to take it that seriously) but I loved the visuals and how it looked like it was filmed in one shot.
  12. Spanish, I was born and raised in Colombia.
  13. I like the latin american dub, but if I hadn't found a theater playing it in English I wouldn't have watched it on the big screen. I haven't seen the dub but I've seen the trailer and the voices seem alright, the mane 6's have always been very good (specially Rarity's and Pinkie Pie's) and the rest seem adequate.
  14. That scene was a little confusing, I think it was a mistake to have Derpy make an appearance in a relevant moment to the plot, it just made it seem like she saved Twilight.
  15. I didn't care much about her or her songs, but I was cracking up when Twilight was captured and she looked at the Sia pony like saying "sorry, I have failed you". That's basically how irrelevant she is to the movie and my opinion of it, the fact that giving her 3 seconds of screen time in the middle of the movie felt so out of place that I couldn't help but laugh.
  16. Nope, the movie was good and the experience of watching it in the cinema was pretty great too, but it's mostly because I'm already a fan of the show and I've been waiting for this for years, aside from that there's really nothing special about the film that the show hasn't done better.
  17. I'll remember the 2010's as the decade of ponies, and just good animated shows in general, but specially ponies.
  18. So I actually got to watch it on the big screen. I wasn't expecting any theater would play an English version of the movie (with subs of course) given that the main demographic is little children who wouldn't bother with subtitles, but surprisingly I randomly found a theater that was doing it, miles away in a place I didn't know and only 2 hours before it started, getting there was quite the journey (I barely had money for the movie, let alone a cab) . I did feel awkward around all those parentswith their little girls but it was worth it Anyway, now my thoughts: The movie was... alright, great for kids and fans of the show, although for anyone else, while not a bad flick by any means, I'd just tell them to watch the show in instead. The best part about it was the animation, it was absolutely gorgeous, even if the movie had sucked watching it on the big screen would've worth it just because of that. I really appreciate how it is bringing back 2D animation to the cinemas, and the way it's mixed with some 3D animation as well shows that both styles can co-exist, which is something I wish more movies tried. I guess the movie is also worth a shot if you miss 2D animated movies. Aside from that, the humor was also very good, some of my favorite moments were the "we scar them.... emotionally!" line followed by Fluttershy's reaction, Rarity checking herself in the mirror while falling, her "the bad guys have won!" line, Fluttershy becoming therapist of one of the villains, and how the party cannon saved the day. I also liked the little conflict Twilight had with her friends, or rather, I liked the fact that she was doing a morally reprehensible act but that I also couldn't blame her for doing that, even if the conflict was kind of predictable. The villains were alright too, Tempest didn't have a lot of charm but she was intimidating, and I liked the way she told her backstory, even if her redemption and everything else was just ok, the Storm King didn't do much and was just an excuse to make the plot happen, but as far as excuses to make the plot happen go he was actually kind of good, the little screen time he got was fun, there's also the sidekick that looks like Dr. Hämsterviel from Lilo and Stitch, which was very bland and just forgettable, thankfully he didn't get a lot of screen time. What did deserve more screen time in my opinion was the pirate crew and the cat (I forgot their names), I really liked them but I feel their interactions with the mane 6 that made them become inspired, and just about everything they did, was too rushed for it to make any meaningful impact whatsoever. The story was good but perhaps a bit too standard, and the pacing was alright until the end, in which I felt everything was resolved too quickly. In a lot of ways, this feels a lot like talking about pretty much every Meghan McCarthy's two-parter, a diamond in the rough that may need a lot of polishing but still works despite its flaws, probably being more ambitious than it's allowed to be. The experience of watching it on the cinema is more than worth it, and I'll remember it fondly for years, the movie is exactly what you'd expect a My Little Pony to be and because of that I'm not being too hard on it, but it is far from perfect and just like the Equestria Girls franchise, while I like it I can't help but appreciate more what the show can do that they can't, and it makes me excited for the future of MLP. Also, I hope this also sends the right message to Hollywood about why 2D animation is worth it, just that would make it one of my favorite movies for reasons beyond the movie itself. Also, to be nitpicky, the whole Sia thing was pointless, but it did made me laugh how when Twilight was captured she looks very ashamed when she sees the Sia pony, it's almost like she's just trying to save Equestria for her
  19. Regardless of my opinion of the movie it was awesome to watch in on the big screen.

  20. So surprisingly there are cinemas here that will show the movie in English (with subtitles of course), which is great because I'll get to watch the movie for the first time on cinema!

  21. Pinkie Pie. Twilight. Rarity. Applejack. Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy.
  22. This anime called Humanity Has Declined. It's by far one of the most interesting shows I've ever seen, it's clever but silly at the same time and you never know where it is going, it's just the main character ending up in a lot of weird and sometimes surreal situations, some funny and others a bit more serious. That and the fact that I really like the main character (whose name is never mentioned) makes it one of my favorite shows ever, or at least one I'll remember.
  23. I don't watch a lot of Youtubers but I've been binge-watching a lot of the Nostalgia Critic videos recently and I really like them.
