Creamy Arty 6,252 September 12, 2012 Share September 12, 2012 I heard from an unreliable source that he was "clinically dead" (whatever that means) for 20 seconds, and that he had a heart attack, not a stroke as some others have speculated. Don't know if that's accurate or not, but the important thing is that he's alive right now and making some amount of recovery. I stopped watching wrestling sometime around February of 2007, so I have no idea what kind of health anybody is in these days. Finesthour 7,287 September 12, 2012 Share September 12, 2012 For anyone who does not believe this is real- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CHY7nkXwCM&feature=player_embedded Man, I feel bad for the dude. He was a very entertaining commentator, one of my favorites (Besides J.R.) I hope he gets better soon. WWE won't be the same without him.

What happened to J.R.? Did Michael Cole take his place full time, or was he just filling in for a little bit? Cole is good at doing shoots, but doesn't quite have a commentator's charisma to me. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 September 12, 2012 Share September 12, 2012 Yeah I posted about it in here http://mlpforums.com/topic/10710-mlp-forums-wwe-discussion-thread-2012-to-wm29/ Watching Raw felt so surreal and weird. It was kinda uncomfortable knowing what was going on, especially when normal angles and matches were going on and Michael Cole was sitting silent at the table. Glad King is better but I think he's never going to step in the ring ever again. Scootaloo Is Best Filly 578 September 12, 2012 Share September 12, 2012 (edited) I got back mid raw. I didn't see Jerry's match. But, I was home when Cole was explaining what happened. At first I thought it was a story line but it became obvious that it wasn't. With no commentating at all, and whenever Cole talked his eyes looked kinda glassy to me as if he was trying really hard not to cry. The good thing is it looks right now that Jerry's gonna be Okay. He was responsive and they were prepping him for an MRI or a CAT Scan. (I forget which one) last I heard. I can promise you this Lawler is gonna be a lot more careful in the future. Despair 114 September 12, 2012 Share September 12, 2012 I kinda stopped watching WWE for a long time. But when I heard about this, I got worried for him. I don't know, but I think Jerry has been with WWE since the beginning of it all, if not he has been there almost as long. I really hope he pulls through. Just another background cat. Move along. Jemboi 127 September 12, 2012 Share September 12, 2012 Very scary. I'm so glad he has pulled through but he has a long way to recovery. He's lucky to be alive at all. It just goes to show how quickly life can change. In a heartbeat, literally.
