DarligPegasi 315 September 19, 2012 Share September 19, 2012 Well its never bothered me, I didn't know his name was spelled McIntosh but now that I know, I prefer MacIntosh. Anyway AJ calls him BigMac sometimes and I always giggle, because it reminds me of the burger. XD Anyway, to each his/her own. 1 Signature by @@Champion RD92, Examples of my Art Work
aperture_tech 56 September 19, 2012 Author Share September 19, 2012 (edited) Wel actually he is named after the apple: Macintosh. Which is where Apple also got the name for their computer from heheh. So actually his name is spelled Macintosh, not Mcintosh. He aint Irish. EDIT: Sorry did more reserach, its spelled both ways but originally was spelled McIntosh. I guess the name evolved over time cuz of the pronunciation. Probably cus we are used to saying "mic" when we say "Mc". Like McDonalds. Not "Mac" But Hey everyone calls him that, Hasbro, Lauren, Even Steve Jobs named his computer that, But they all ment the apple. So i guess his name is canonically Macintosh. But like i said. He aint Irish, nor named after the irish name. I was saying that the apple, as in the fruit is named McIntosh, while the company and the Scottish last name is Macintosh. Thus, it ought to be McIntosh, as McIntosh Apple makes more sense. Because Steve Jobs wanted to make his brand different, he decided to go with the image of an Apple, and name his OS the Apple Macintosh.
