My first drawing (NOTE) I drew this with a mouse pad xD on a laptop!

Ok so I drew this on my laptop it is horrible I just thought it would be funny to put it up because I drew it using a mouse pad! LOL so it is really badly drawn... I am going to learn to color and shade because I can't now... Everyone starts at the bottom till they work their way up and become better. In November on my birthday I am getting a drawing tablet so i can properly draw and learn to shade (My cousin who is an art student will teach me) but yeah this drawing is horribly drawn and colored but you know what i put it up for the fun of it because I drew it with a mouse pad and for the way i drew it, I think it turned out pretty good xD lol so yeah ... :/

That's not bad, that's very good! I'm jealous to you 'cause I've tried to draw with mouse for 3 months, but your much better than I am. I'll just draw with pen, it's easier to me.

Wow, that's REALLY good for a mouse pad! Very good proportions, and mane, horn, fantabulous. I'll dismiss the small jaggedness for your unfortunate drawing handicaps.

don't come up with the mouse thing, because THAT'S AN EXCUSE! it is possible to draw with the mouse (mouse pad that is), it's a bit harder than a tablet, but still it is possible.

Your drawing it's actually pretty good, just the hinder hooves needs to be fixed, the are super off, but nothing that hurts my eyes, I've seen much worse in all honesty

you only have been drawing for a few days, so you never drawn before in your whole life? or you used to do it but gave it a break, or this is like the first time you tried digital art?

With a MOUSE? Wow, I can't draw with a mouse very good at all.

 

My only recommendation is to use color samples for coloring.

(Which you cannot do in something like Paint, if that's what you used. You have to use something like GIMP 2, which is like the free photoshop.)

 

Just get the color sampling tool and select the original color of something (take a picture of Twilight from the internet, save and open with Gimp/Photoshop, then sample it and it will be your selected color) And then use it to color your image, that way all the colors match up perfectly.
