The Girl with the Books 57 October 10, 2012 Share October 10, 2012 "The autumn leaves blew over the moonlit pavement in such a way as to make the girl who was moving there seem fixed to a sliding walk, letting the motion of the wind and the leaves carry her forward..." Hello everyone, I'm Pyro_Chick 451 and I'm a fire enthusiast. Also writing is quite important to me. Hence the Fahrenheit 451 references everywhere in this post xD I haven't been a "brony" or "pegasister" long and honesty, I'm not even that into the show, I'm really a fan of the community behind it. My favourite books are Fahrenheit 451, Through the Looking-Glass, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (dat subtext). I play a bit of TF2, using a friend's account to play rather than making my own, and I main Pyro, Medic, and Scout. If I had my way, the Pyro would turn out to be me, a distressed soul, eager to learn and have fun, who gets a thrill out of watching things burn (literally, literally, and literally). Anyway that's me, Pyro_Chick 451 a.k.a. Lilllie, in a flaming hot nutshell. P.S. I'm not seventeen yet, but I will be next month, and I'm not yet sure about the crazy part, I just feel obligated to say both. xD 4 I feast on the words of great authors, Drink the emotions and thoughts of the characters,And sleep only once I am through with all of the stories. It's not the ideas that make books relevant,It's the READERS. The Girl with the Books 57 October 10, 2012 Author Share October 10, 2012 Thanks! I do hope I enjoy it here, I can't wait to upload some of the pieces that I've been working on. I've got everything from a step-by-step guide on how to control the common people under totalatarian rule, to creepypastas regarding humanity's past and creepypastas themselves, to poems on pain, sadness, redemption, love, and (what else? ) the power/beauty/mysteries of fire. 3005 332 October 11, 2012 Share October 11, 2012 (edited) Ha ha, sounds like it! That's awesome, what kind of stuff do you write about, do you have a favourite style? A favourite name for your characters? A favourite time or place? A favourite voice? A favourite genre? Tell me all about your writing style! I don't think I have a particular genre I prefer. I'm particularly entranced by series like Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Hunger Games... those rare blockbusters that sell like crazy and captivate audiences of all audiences, children and adults alike while still retaining a certain composure with their prose (with the exception of Twilight... its quality is disputable ). I love action, romance, constant plot twists, thrills, and mysteries wrapped into one. Books that push boundaries are also what I like (conveniently, Harry Potter and The Hunger Games have all of those elements in them, which make them perfect examples). I love to use the names Jakob, Christian, Lily, and Hailey in my stories, just because I love the sound to all four of them. I also tend to include profanity on a regular basis. xP What about you? The Girl with the Books 57 October 12, 2012 Author Share October 12, 2012 Thanks for the welcome! Lilly? That's technically my name (Lillie)! Anyway, I like the more classical pieces, and I especially like sci-fi works that talk about/give examples of dystopian futures. I love to see how humanity predicts its own downfall, the reaction of the people, and the adaptation of Earth. When I write I prefer to use a either a dark, satire, comical, or serious voice. Yeah, I know, all over the place. xD I especially like to think when I'm reading and likewise, I like to make my readers think! ... A Phlog Pyro? ... Um... Hm... Well, whatever works for you! xD Sure thing! I just finished a piece today, so I'll be uploading that soon, stay tuned! 1 I feast on the words of great authors, Drink the emotions and thoughts of the characters,And sleep only once I am through with all of the stories. It's not the ideas that make books relevant,It's the READERS. NeverPony 274 October 13, 2012 Share October 13, 2012 words My favorite Fahrenheit 451 quote: Then they'll feel they're thinking, they'll get a sense of motion without moving. And they'll be happy, because facts of that sort don't change. Don't give them any slippery stuff like philosophy or sociology to tie things up with. That way lies melancholy. I very much enjoyed Fahrenheit 451, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is my all-time favorite story. Carroll simply demands my attention like no other. I too share your enthusiasm for all that ignites. From what I have tasted of desire, I side with those who favor fire. I welcome your subsistence, and may the wind never whisk you waywardly. ~ Sometimes when it's windy, I stand outside and wait to be carried away ~
