writing Ignorance is Bliss

I wrote a poem of epitomic mediocrity. Do not pre-excite yourself too much, it's really not all that amazing.

 

Side note: Yes, every stanza is written in haiku (no, I'm not Zer0 from Borderlands 2).

I do not know much.

I lack experiences.

I've yet seen the world.

 

What is true beauty?

I think I may have seen it,

but I cannot say.

 

What is true sadness?

I think I may have felt it,

but I am not sure.

 

I've yet confirmed these;

These emotions, good and bad.

What is this I feel?

 

Some would say nothing.

Such people are incorrect.

It's neutrality.

 

My lack of such things;

such feelings, such memories.

It leaves me neutral.

 

Yet, at the same time,

I feel rather satisfied,

with this state of mind.

 

My neutrality;

it is something quite calming.

It's serenity.

 

It may not make sense,

though, it is not relevant.

This state is blissful.

 

No feelings of joy,

no memories sadness,

nothing, entirely.

 

It is comforting,

though others would say shameful,

to me, and my mind.

 

With a lack of such,

I remain in the pure light,

untainted from things.

 

Untainted from joy,

jealousy, sadness, anger,

pity, envy, fear.

 

Few will understand,

maybe none entirely,

but that is alright.

 

To me, this is bliss;

this ignorance to all things.

Which is ironic.

Post note: This poem is actually quite difficult to understand. Not sure if people need me to go in depth as to why I wrote what I wrote or not. I can see many not understanding the ending, for example.

This is..a tad bit hard to understand. But this slightly describes how I feel every day, nearly all day. Nothing but calmness, so I can understand this poem, in a way. Very well-written. A typo or two, but still very good. Keep it up!

A typo or two,

WHERE ARE THEY?

 

If you mean syntax having to do with semi-colons and whatnot, then yes, I kind of expected that. I'm not so good with that, and the fact that I went in and redid a good amount of lines only adds to the likeliness of me making a derp and forgetting to edit punctuation and the like.

 

Also, thank you very much. I didn't really think it was all that good, so hearing otherwise from someone gives me a warm fuzzy inside.

I leaves me neutral. < Right there, isn't that supposed to be "It"? It's no big deal, though. We should understand what you're saying.
