Shade leaned on flame and continued to walk by his side...

 

Thoughts of her guild family ran through her mind... She saw one of them fall to the zomponys, and that brought a tear to her eye.

"I have no bloody clue what that thing is, Ive only read about zomponies, nothing like this one. weapons close, i have no bucking idea what its capable of"

Parso continued leading the group down the corridor and accidentally kicked a stray box, attaining the attention of the big, fugly, thing in front of them

it sprayed ooze towards him but he dived out of the way. he bucked it in the gut, sending it into a closet, he closed the door and heard an exploding sound. opening the door again, the only thing that remained was the back half of the zompony.

"better keep our wits about us, that thing nearly killed me"

Shade watched as the fat zompony exploded..

"I think we should steer clear of any of the strange looking zomponys..."

 

Shade was still thinking about her guild family... And continued to think about how there doing... She didn't know what was going on outside the mall... It could be an everyday day... Or it could be abandoned... Just thoughts made her shed tears.

Whirl Wake slightly turned his head. "Yeah, your poor wing might actually get broken if one of those things explodes on you." He mocked, proud of himself. He turned around all the way and saw that she was crying. "Aw, crap. I'm sorry, I didn't know that you were.." Whirl then saw Flame's angry expression and turned back around to keep walking down the corridor. He had a feeling that this stress trip wasn't going to be quite over when they got to the security room.

Flame glared at Whirl Wake then looked back at Shade and wiped the tears from her face. " Shade, I assume you are worried about family and friends outside the mall...I am too, But the only thing we can do for them now is to survive, If we make it out of this place we can find them and help them." He said, trying to cheer her up. "So right now... We gotta focus on getting to the security room.

Everything is going to be ok. In three days the army will come and then we can leave this mess."

Shade was still looking sad and tears still ran out of her eyes...

 

"I don't have a family... Not that I know of... And my guild family may all be dead... And I sware whirl... If I had a cloud I'd strike you"

Shade tryed to snap herself out of it and walked ahead of everypony.

 

She didn't like being alone... But she knew that she would always be alone in the dark...

Once Shade walked ahead of everypony Flame walked up next to Parso. "So... How far away is the security room ?" He asked, stepping over a body. "Because I dont think Shade is feeling to good... Mentally and physically... I am kinda worried about her... I mean, I know I just met her but, still."

"...I understand mate, but right now, we need to focus on the-"

Parso looked to the doors beside him with security in bold lettering

"possible contact inside, heres the plan; we go in, search the entire room, if it groans, kill it"

Parso slowly opened the door, the room was pitch dark so he switched on his flashlight until he found a light switch

Shade got her crowbar ready and started to flap her left wing (good wing) her wing started to get tiny gray clouds around it... She was charging up a thunder strike... She then put the cloud in her sattle bag...

 

"Just in case we need it... I have a thunder cloud ready... But it may not be as powerful as my other ones"

Whirl Wake saw no zomponies, so he began walking around the room and looking at shelves. He found a box of three cylinders with syringes visible through the ends of them. They were labeled blue with "Zomprex" (Yes, Zomprex) on the side. He looked at the ingredients and realized what the medicine was for. It was a medicine to slow down the growth of a zompony virus in one's body. He trotted over to Parso. "Look what I found." He said joyfully."Just in case any of us gets bitten." Just then a groaning monstrosity appeared from behind a fire extinguisher. Whirl Wake turned to shoot it, but all that came out of his guns were plastic pellets. "Are you bucking kidding me?!?!" He exclaimed, throwing the guns down as the zompony drew nearer.

parso snuck up behind the attacking zompony and swung his baton as hard as he could, taking its head off

parso trotted over to the Zomprex boxes

"what the hell is this? I've never heard of it, nor know that it existed"

the security room seemed quiet enough that there was no threat

"i have no idea what to do next"

Whirl Wake grunted at the toy guns on the ground and turned back to Parso. "It's sort of a delay for the zompony virus." He said, trying to poor out as much knowledge onto Parso as he could. "It uses specialized microorganisms activated within one's blood stream to minimize said virus growth and destroy any undeveloped cells to force the rest to continue breeding instead of attacking the immune system, allowing the pony's body to function properly while still having the virus inside it." He looked at Parso's confused face and tried to crunch it down into a simpler form. "It slows down the zompony virus so that an infected pony doesn't turn into one of them." He said, pointing with a wing at the decapitated zompony on the floor. "Anyone who has been bitten must take a shot of one of these at least once every three hours in order for them not to be infected."

"Well that'll be helpful." Flame said, sticking his head out the door and looking for any zomponies. "Ok, It doesn't look like any more are in here so... Im going to close the door." He said, closing the door and locking it. "We should probably find something that we can use to make a barricade."

"These are freaking brainless zomponies," Said Whirl Wake. "even I know that they would never be able to break down this thing, especially when it's locked. What we need to do is set up camp here and go out to look for food." He looked at Shade and couldn't help himself. "As we'll as a splint for our poor maiden over here." Chuckled Whirl Wake. He knew he would pay for that, but it was worth it.

"...If you get a big group of them... this door is nothing. We need to barricade it." He said, in a slightly annoyed tone. <This pony is really starting to get on my nerve's.> He thought, walking to the back of the room to look for something to make a barricade. "This coffee table should do it."

Shade looked at whirl... She opened up he sattle bag and pulled out the thundercloud... Then bucked it strate at whirl striking him with a lightning bolt..

 

She snarled and limped away to lay down...

Whirl Wake slightly winced at the weak shock. He decided him, being one of the few conscious people here, would go and get some food for the three days that they were stranded here. Whirl Wake grabbed a fire ax with his wing and made a beeline for the door. Just before Flame could stick the coffee table on it he exited the room and walked out to the food court.

Shade laid down in a corner... Her eyes where poring tears as she was moving and feeling her bad wing... She also felt some pain in her body muscles... <that's odd... My wing is broken but there's pain in my body. there's something more to this injury then what I know>

 

Shades stomach growled... "Is it just me or are you ponys getting hungery?" Asked shade as she started flapping her good wing charging another thundercloud.

Parso thought at shade's request for a bit and got an idea

"shade, pass us that crowbar"

he picked up the crowbar and trotted over to a locker and broke it open. inside the locker was; sandwiches, snacks and all kinds of other food

"good ol' fatarse Sugar Cane"

he laughed at his joke about a possible former co-worker

"Whirl Wake just ran to get some. But that will work. too." Flame said, looking at the sandwiches. "Now we gotta fix that wing." He said, trotting over to a medical kit on the wall then pulling out some bandages. " We just have to find something to use as a splint." He said, opening a couple cupboard's then looking at the coffee table against the door. "We could use one of the legs from this table." Flame walked over to the table, snapping off one of the legs, then walking over to Shade.

As Whirl Wake trotted around the food court, evading the horde of zomponies, he notices a McSoy's on a few yards away. His favorite restaurant back in Canterlot, he didn't know that there was a chain here in Manehatten. He rushed in, threw five packed meatball subs on his back and started the ran back to the storage room. Just before he entered the back way corridor, he saw a mare struggling in front of the counter of another restaurant and ran to her. "Help! I've been bitten!" She exclaimed. Whirl Wake reached into his mane, but surprisingly the Zomprex wasn't in their. "Here, hide behind the counter." He said, helping her around the row of cash registers. "Me and some others have settled in the security room. I'll go get help." He said, and sprinted back to the security room. He walked in and immediately saw them pigging out on the food that they found in the locker. "Hey I g- oh." He said, disappointed. "I'll just eat these then." He almost stuffed a sub into his mouth then remembered about the mare in the shop. He stood upright again. "There's an infected girl in the food court." He said. "She's not a zompony yet, but she will be soon. We need to go help her!" He felt awkward saying the words, but he needed to say them. He grabbed two tubes of Zomprex and ushered for one of them to come with him.

Shade had charged a thundercloud and put it into her sattle bag... She looked at flame that was walking towards her with a table leg

 

"I don't think that a table lag would help... I think I have more then just a broken wing"

 

Shade shook her head as she got a massive head ache

"Well, We still need to fix your wing. What else is wrong ?" He asked, sitting down next to Shade. "Parso you go with Whirl Wake, I am going to check out Shades wing... and whatever else may be wrong." Flame said, unwrapping the bandage.

"My wing is broken, I have muscle pain, a head ach... That's all I feel..... I.. I don't know....... I think I might have been... Cough cough* bitten"

The second the Shade said she had been bitten Flame jumped up and ran to the box of Zompex. "Where and when were you bit ?" He asked, walking back over and kneeling down next to her. "The box says to inject it into the blood stream so it spreads around your body much faster. And forgive me... Im not the best at giving shots... But if you could just...Hold out your arm." He said
