Star Keeper paced around the library, hoping that in the process some brilliant idea would present itself. Things hadn't been going smoothly for anypony, especially when Twilight delegated the role of organizer to him.

 

Clouds have been reappearing after disappearing, crops had stopped growing almost as if somepony had hit the pause button. Things were getting out of hoof. While the Pegasi had been occupied with the regenerative clouds, very little progress had been made with the other groups. Rarity seemed to be taking forever to get any decorations sorted, and with the crops refusing to grow, he doubted that there would be anything to show on the night. They had another cart supply of food coming in from Canterlot tomorrow but would it be enough?

 

With so much happening at once, he began to wonder if he could even keep his sanity by the end. What the hell was Twilight doing in Canterlot that was so god damn important that meant she had to abandon the preparations? Star Keeper kicked a bookshelf, which barley moved from the amount of force applied. Lowering his head, he sighed in defeat.

 

From the door he heard a knock, and very clearly his name was said. Taking to his wings, he flew down stairs and answered the door. He was disappointed to see only Ace standing expectantly in the doorway, though he kept this to himself.

 

"Ace, what can I do for you? I'm very busy at this moment." He tried not to sound too arrogant, but old habits die hard.

 

"Nice to see you to Star Keeper" Ace said ignoring the tone Star was giving "I need to see if theres a book that can tell us about whats been going on, not with just the clouds-ok im here mostly because of the clouds but since your here you could help me." Ace said smilling.

"Hmmm? Oh yes, the clouds. Well... the issue there is that I wouldn't have the foggiest notion as to what in Celestia's name is going on. I've bloody well thought of every possibility. Nothing. You can have a look if you like, but I doubt you'll find anything. Nothing is really going according to plan."

Star Keeper looked to the doorway to see another pony standing there.

"Spike isn't here at the moment. Last I heard he was looking for Rarity, but that was at least to hours ago. If you asked her I'm sure she would know." Star Keeper looked at Draco with a expression of annoyance before turning back to Ace.

 

"I suggest that if you want to get started, you start now."

It is now 9 PM. Most of the decorations have been put up, the Apple family has been getting some stuff out of their limited crop, and the sky is as clear as a river.

Ace said averting his eyes from the newest book in the Daring-Do series "Star Keeper stop being a stick in the mud, I mean Celestia got kidnap during a sun celebration and we almost sufferd from nighttime eternal but in the end we ended up fine and got our princess of the night back!"

Ace was so shocked he dropped the book he was carrying and fell to the floor with a plop, then he looked outside to see the clouds gone "oh hey the clouds arnt coming back, so uh i'm just gunna go and see if i can help with decorations or with food...maybe help with music." Ace walked out of the libary and took off not wanting to see how this conversation will end up.

Applejack blew on a horn (But where did she get it? :3). Loudly. She was trying to get Star's attention, but she might've gone too far, so she said after, "I only meant to get Star's attention. Anyway, you need to stop worrying! Worrying will make it worse! At least station yourself at the edge of the everfree forest!"

A changeling is skirting around the other edge of the forest. He finally stops and takes out his trotty - talky.

 

"Where are the hostages?"

"I'm meant your location then."

"Yes queen."

 

And right next to him were 5 of the mane 6. Everyone except Applejack.
