As Gemstone made it downtown he looks up at the crystal palace. *sigh* To think 1000 years before all this my family help carve this palace out of the crystal that was there. *looking at the crystal heart* At least thats back where it should be. Maybe i can get in the palace and see how things look now.

"Its nice to meet you SkyeRibbon. That pony over there is Cloud Puff." She said, Pointing to the pegasus standing by her violin case. *Is she watching my case ? That is awfully nice of her.* She thought, smiling at Cloud Puff then looking back to SkyeRibbon."And my name is Star Song."

SkyeRibbon chuckled.

"Cloud, Star, and Skye eh? We sound perfectly breezy. Heh." She yelled over the the other pony.

" Helloooo Cloud Poof!" She greeted, waving her foreleg wildly and causing her green bracelets to jingle and clatter.

"You aren't a conspirator are you?" She joked. Turning back to Star Song she smiled.

"I would absolutely love to see you play that violin, if I'm not interrupting your...erm...outing?"

Cloud Puff smiled back a Star Song, she was obviously happy about something. "Hi there!" she called back. A few ponies looked at the bits in the case greedily, but Cloud glared at them until they walked away. Luckily this only happened twice, as Cloud hated to look unhappy when she was perfectly fine.

"And I'm Rhaïn. Glad to meet you. And I second the motion for playing your violin, Star Song. You look as if you'd be pretty talented!"

Rhaïn turned around to look at the general vicinity. Woah, where did these other ponies come from? "It looks as if others want to hear your music as well."

"So it's settled," SkyeRibbon grinned. "You'll play us a tune, then?" She looked over and winked at Rhain. "Lookes like another sky-based name, huh?" Suddenly she gasped.

"Team Breezy! We, " She nodded to all the ponies. "Are team Breezy! play our theme song, Star Song! Wooh!"

She began dancing around with all four limbs bouncing around, lost in the thought.

((OOC: AAH. Im sorry, I completely forgot about Rhain ))

"Oops... Im sorry, This is Rhain. Team breezy haha. And yea... I should probably get over and play before somepony gets angry." She giggled and trotted over to her violin case. "Thanks for watching my case Cloud Puff, It was kinda silly of me to just walk away and ignore it.." Star smiled at Cloud Puff then began to play.

(OOC: @Skyeribbon: sorry to break the sky-based name streak, but the accent in Rhaïn actually ensures that it isn't pronounced as 'rain'. I go into more details about this on my OC page, but etymology is fun anyway )

"Wow, that sounds great! You really should be playing on a stage more often..." Rhaïn trots over to the collection case and tosses a few bits in. *Rhaïn's stomach grumbles loudly* "Oops, there I go again. Anyone else up for some dinner, then? I'm famished."

SkyeRibbon put a hoof on her chin. "I'm not sure...." She said. "Isn't all the food her made of crystal too? Can we even eat that?" Her eyes wandered over the booths with crystaline apples and corn that shouldn't shine the way it was on that stand.

"Is it even edible by normal ponies?"

"Beautiful... Sounds professional, Star!" Cloud was completely amazed with how well Star Song played. "Yeah, I'm hungry too," she said, more to Rhaïn than anypony else. 'I wonder if I should take up playing and instrument.... Nah, I like sticking to weather' Cloud thought to herself. "Maybe when Star is done playing, we could go find something to eat?" Cloud suggested to Rhaïn.

Skye's eyes widened, "Sorry, we'll be quiet." She said to Cloud Puff. Seconds later though, her eyes went glassy and she zoned out.

"Cloud Poof....You ever wonder why we're her?" She swayed in time to the music, transfixed and smiling like a complete and utter idiot.

Once Star had finished playing she tossed the bits from her violin case into her coin purse. "Usually I would stay here for a couple hours but... I am famished." She said, putting her violin back into its case and trotting next to SkyeRibbon, Cloud Puff and Rhain. "My apartment is above a really tasty restaurant... My treat." She said, smiling.

"Thanks!" Cloud said to Star as she trotted up. "And, uh. No?" She said quietly to SkyeRibbon. 'Is she okay?' Cloud wondered to herself, a little scared of the random trance-like state her new friend just fell into. " So, when will we go? I'm starving," Cloud inquired Star, anxious to go, but feeling guilty for being impolite.

SkyeRibbon snapped out of her trance just as the others began to trot away. "Oh!" She quickly plodded after the group.

"But...but can we even EAT the food here?!" She whined, stealing another glance at the corn and eyeing it with extreme displeasure. "But....i guess i really can't pass up free food...especially after a beautiful performance like that Star Song."

"Thank you SkyeRibbon. And I think anypony can eat the crystal food. But they also serve normal food if you are not in the mood for crystal food." She said.

"Its just down the street.. The food is delicious and not that expensive... I eat there all the time." Star smiled.

"Okay. Lets go!" Cloud said, and almost ran down the street. She looked over to Rhaïn, wondering why he was suddenly so quiet. "Rhaïn, are you all right?" She directed most of her attention toward him, waiting for his answer.

SkyeRibbon flashed another of her smiles. "That's a relief...I don't mean to be picky i just....i wonder what it tastes like...Hey Cloud Poof? Have you ever eaten Crystal Empire food before? " She turned to the mare who seemed to be trying very hard to politely ignore her. "Cloud Poof?"

"Huh? Oh, sorry. Yeah, I have. I've lived here my whole life. It's normal to me, since I have no idea what the other food tastes like, since nothing is really more expensive one way or the other." Cloud was flustered and embarrassed for accidentally ignoring Skye like that. "Also, uh, my name is Cloud Puff, not Poof..." She tried to say as politely as possible.

Star giggled. "SkyeRibbon... Cloud Puff and I have lived here for a thousand years." She said, Pushing the door to the restaurant open and letting everypony in. "You guys go sit down. I am going to go put my violin away." She said trotting back out the door and up the stairs to her apartment.

"What? Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I guess I'm more tired than I thought." Wow, such a great response. I must really be tired...

"Well, I'll come with you then. I haven't had a chance to try the food here yet, and I'm looking forward to it." Rhaïn quickly caught up to the other ponies. I just need to stay awake for another hour or so.

"Never had normal food?!" Obviously this poor pony didn't know what she was missing. Never had cupcakes? Candy? Pasta? Dare she say it....muffins?!

"Star Song! Star Song! I changed my mind!" She screamed at the mare as she went to dispose of the violin.

"I insist on paying for Cloud Poof! The poor thing's never had a normal meal in her life!" Skye Turned to Cloud Puff.

"I insist. you have got to have something on me."

Skye eyed Rhain. "What about you?"

"Well, I mean, I've had all kinds of things, just all crystal. Like crystal corn, crystal berries. It's the same things, just more suited for crystal ponies. But ok. I won't turn down somepony willing to pay for my food." Wow... Skye seemed to think it was a total disaster that Cloud hadn't had any normal food before.

This was a total disaster that Cloud Puff had never eaten a single morsel of proper food.

"I understand." She said meekly. "But Just humor me. Oh, Cloud Poof, the things i'm going to shove down your throat!" SkyeRibbon cackled menacingly, not yet decided herself whether she was just kidding or not.

"Honestly, though, food keeps the machine running, and if you pass out onstage, madame skyeribbon will glue your hoofs to a sandbag. Rhain, let me buy you a coffee? Ah here's a seat." She flashed a broad smile at the others as she trotted over to a large table in the sunlight and nonchalantly flipped open a menu.

"Crystal baklaava....oooh..."

After Star put her violin back in her apartment she trotted into the restaurant and sat down with Cloud, Skye and Rhain.

"I remember... Before king somber ruled, A pony arrived selling strange foods that most of us had never seen. I was just a filly at the time but I got my self... Some sort of pie... Epple... Upple... No It was Apple. Anyway, it was very Very tasty." She said, picking up a menu.

Skyeribbon peered over her menu at Star Song.

"This place just keeps getting more and more peculiar. An apple. my goodness....dear, lets see."

She stared hard at the menu for a moment.

" 'Soft Fare?' Is that what the proper food is referred to as? Rhain dear...? Are you alright?"

She gazed at the sleepy stallion.

"Want me to refresh your energy? I have a little theatre trick that will work, if your willing."
