shade was dancing on the dance floor... as she got some colt followers... she was happy that she had some colts following her around, but none of them were really her type...

 

she continued to wave electricity out of her mane trying to get some more attention...

Featherheart raised his head and removed his wings from his face.

"It's not you... I'm just not that keen when it come's to meeting new ponies"

He bowed his head again looking down at the floor.

"You've heard about me, right. I'm sure everypony in Equestria has by now"

He takes another look at his blank-flank hopping he hadn't noticed.

"If it means anything to you, I-I'm Featherheart"

He softly announced giving her a small smile, as he looked up again.

"I'm sorry for not knowing who you are, I'm Hunter Incendiare and all I see is a cute alicorn who looks depressed."

hunter gave featherheart a hug and saw that he had no mark on his flank

"is that why you're sad? you have no cutie mark? awww sweetie, its ok, infact i know a lot of ponies who can't find their talents"

she gave him a heart warming smile

"I'll have that too please." I motion to the bartender who starts to work the taps.

 

I smile again at Clover, taking in the features of her face. I looked dazily into her eyes and realized I was staring. I shook my head as the cidars came to our hooves.

 

"So... where are you from?"

"what, even at my age... I had my cutie mark once, when I was just a lonely unicorn."

He hugs Hunter back, trying to forget the worries he faced.

"I'm happy I've been given this gift, but I will never have a talent"

Almost at the point of tears he released Hunter from his tight hug, looking down at the ground once more.

"you poor colt, well, I'm here for you, if you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here"

hunter gave featherheart a look of concern to show that she meant what she said. she just met this colt but she wanted to help his sorrows disappear.

"come on, how about I get you a drink?"

"I live here in Canterlot." She said, pointing out the window. "I just love the city. Tall buildings with millions of levels, the cluttering of feet as busy ponies walk by, and the street lights that illuminate the night. It's also where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna live. They own a beautiful castle overlooking the city. I swear, one night, I saw Princess Luna raise the moon. I'm sure it was her, who else would be in the skies that late? It's just one of the many things I love about living in Canterlot. And if you think it's beautiful in the day time, you should see it at night. You aren't from around here, are you? Would you like me to show you?" She gestured towards the balcony.

" A drink... I don't know, I was at the punch-bowl earlier and it was empty."

Featherheart looked the blue Pegasus with a warm smile. He starts to feel warm inside, now he may have found a friend to talk to in the penthouse.

" Well I just hope no pony notices my... flank, I just wish the spell hadn't turned out so bad. But I'm happy to be what I am, its a great gift from the Princes, don't you think"

He flapped his wings showing there size.

Shade was starting to loose attention as she got tired from showing off electricity in her mane, (or it could be because she drunk the entire punch Bowl..)

 

"Hm... I should have figured it wouldn't last..." <just like I was told... Stay in the shadows>

 

She stopped dancing and went back to the punch bowl,

 

"Did I really drink the entire bowl?"

 

She waited there for it to be refilled.

"Don't worry, I have a bar, consider your drinks on me. my butler will refill the punchbowl"

hunter took feather heart over to the bar with a wing over his shoulder, they sat on a stool and hunter looked into his eyes with her crimson diamonds

"what would you like?"

shade stared at the punch bowl... then she saw hunter walking to the bar with another pony...

 

she looked over at the bar, and started walking towards it...

 

she gets beside hunter and...

 

" hey hunter... how are things going?.. i think i drank the entire punch bowl..."

"Yes, I'd love to see it!" I reply, as we start to make our way through the ponies in front of us.

 

"By the way, you're right. I'm from Ponyville. It's the town that kind of has everypony knowing everypony. Maybe you should come round and have a look around... if you haven't looked around yet..."

 

We finally get to the balcony door and I open it wide.

 

"After you," I say, with a smile.

We step out on to the balcony. "Over there is the cafe." She said as she pointed over the balcony. "And that tall build there is the hotel." She added "Oh and there, Faceless, is the palace. Every year there is a big event there called The Grand Galloping Galla." Lucky Clover sighed. "I love the look of the city at night. Don't you? Isn't just so....romantic?"

Flyer took in the scene before him. He breathed in as the lights below shimmered against the night sky. It was as if the night and city were dancing together. Faceless looked at Clover and saw her eyes sparkling against the cityscape. Her coat seemed to glow as he leaned in closer to her...

Clover felt something that she had never felt efore in her life. She felt calm and relaxed, but at the same time, she felt an adrenaline rush. It was exciting to meet somepony like Flyer. He was unlike anypony she knew. He was kind, outgoing, caring, attractive. She wouldn't admit it but deep down she knew she it. She liked him. This was perfect. She wanted to kiss him, but she was nervous, she needed an excuse. An excuse for kissing somepony? Yes, that's what she needed.

 

Clover used a little of her magic that brings good luck. A shooting star appear in the sky. Now was her chance. She leaned in close and kissed him.

Featherheart took an worried look at his flank and then at this new pony.

" Um... hi. It was you that drank all the punch."

He laughed a bit, feeling a little more at ease than he once was. Turning back to the new found friend of his, he opened his mouth to say her name. Drawing back quickly he realized he had no idea, he blushed a little feeling embarrassed to ask the blue Pegasus.

 

Swallowing his fear he opened his mouth to ask.

"Oh... um blue"

He closed his eyes tight, scrunching up his face waiting for a angry pony to shout at him or worse.

"Please tell me you're name, I don't think you did tell me, if you did I'm so sorry"

Faceless was surprised by the kiss at first, but then closed his eyes and kissed back. He was aware of the shooting star above, but nothing could compare to what was happening inside him. It felt like a thousand shooting stars to him.

 

It seemed like eternity before they finally broke. Faceless smiled, dazily, with half lidded eyes, looking at Clover in front of him.

Clover enjoyed the kiss, but was now feeling awkward. What if he doesn't like me? She worried that she had made the wrong decision but the expression on his face put her mind at rest. She was still blushing, unsure of what to say. A few moments past between them, she didn't her eyes of Faceless for a second. It was all right now, the awkwardness had gone away.

"So tell me about Ponyville." She said

Hunter put a hoof onto his lips

"shhh, its alright, no need to panic. My name is Hunter Incendiare"

she gave him a heart warming smile

"dont feel scared that I'm going to get angry, why would I be angry with you?"

she asked rhetorically before turning to shade

 

 

 

"haha, thats alright, my butler will fill it up soon"

she turned to her bartender

"hey, get this colt a drink"

"Oh, um... Hunter that's a wonderful name"

He smiled back, feeling only hope that his new friend will stick with him for the night -as he wasn't too keen on meeting any other pony just yet- letting out a sigh of relief, he lazily gazed across the room over to the balcony.

"Who are they?"

he asked gesturing his hoof towards the balcony.

"They look like there having fun, Don't they".

"I have no idea, i just invite ponies to come, but i have never met them"

she smiled at the colt in front of her

"I have a feeling that you'd be as lucky as him soon enough"

and with that said, she leaned in and planted a kiss on his cheek, when she came back she saw featherhearts face redder than a tomato

Featherheart looked at hunter with a quirky smile, he covers his face with his wings, trying to cover the embarrassment he could feel flowing out of him like a leaky tap.

"I said I didn't want any trouble"

He laughs poking his head out from under his feathers.

"what trouble is there? I think you're cute was all I was showing"

she let out her own laugh as she picked up her drink and had a sip. she then had a sudden thought

"oh curse me and my easily to fall in love, now what will he think of me?"

she pushed her thought aside when she gazed back into his eyes

Featherheart puts his wings down, he was still blushing and was feeling a bit silly. Leaning forwards he gives her a peck on the cheek and then he flew out the balcony door and over the kissing couples heads, he made his way to the window and fluttered outside it, pushing his face against the glass.

 

He watched Hunter and waited for her reaction, his breath steamed up the window -face still bright red-

"oh, i wish he would stop running away, I'll find him soon enough"

featherheart saw as hunter started to look around the room for him until she walked into a part where he couldnt see her. he felt a tap on his shoulder and there flapping behind him was Hunter

"boo"

she let out a giggle
