"Ahh!"

Featherheart quickly shot up into the air. When looked back down he saw Hunter.

"Hey what was that for?"

He chuckled, slowly lowering himself to her level.

"You could have given me a heart attack."

As he looked into her eyes, he found himself in some sort of trance, unable to look anywhere else and only thinking about her.

hunter lets out a giggle

"serves you right for zooming off like that"

she looked into his eyes and found it hard to look away, she was really attached to this colt. but she was confused whether her mind or her heart was talking to her. who cares, wild card!

she leaned in and kissed him fair on the lips, holding it for a few seconds as she closed her eyes, eventually she broke the kiss and stared back into his eyes

The red grew across his face."she is really trying everything on me" he thought as he smiled at her.

"So... how... I mean, you seem to have... um, I uh..."

He gt all flustered and put his hooves behind his back, his horn glowed a warm orange and his face a warm red. Then he dived straight down and then back up -with no idea why he was doing this, nerves, joy or just his quirky ways- He landed on a cloud not too far from the penthouse, peering over the edge at Hunter.

hunter followed the trail of turbulence he left behind and eventually found him on a cloud

"I'm so sorry if that was too forward, oh curse my heart for being so open all the time"

she sat on the edge of the cloud, looking down at the city

"you see, I fall in love far too easily, and...well...you already experienced that. I'm so sorry that i scared you in any way"

tears started to stream out of her eyes and fall to the city below

He sat up and walked over to hunter putting a wing over her.

"Maybe it's me." He whispers ever so gentility, moving closer to her so that there both touching.

"It is me... maybe it's something to do with, well something from before I lost my cutie mark."

A sudden thought zipped into his dead "maybe this is where I should start, maybe I can bring my cutie mark back" he kisses her on the cheek.

"Don't cry, it's ok."

her sudden reaction was to kiss him back on the cheek and hug him

"you're the only pony thats ever cared for me"

she hugged tight as tears of happiness stroll down her cheek. when she let go she grabbed both his forehooves and pulled him along

"come on, we should get back to the party"

she led him to a room overlooking the main room where everypony was dancing as sat on a couch with him

"welcome to my living room"

she smiled as she showed featherheart the room. grabbing a bottle of champagne and two glasses, she popped to cork and filled the glasses up, taking one and giving the other to him. they clinked the glasses together and drank

"This is nice."

He looked around at the scenery, admiring some pictures. Turning back to Hunter he was starting to get the impression that she wanted something from him -not knowing what it was, he never dared himself to find out- smiling at her he levitates the champagne glass to his mouth and drinking all the content in one gulp.

"I'm sorry, I'm just my throat is a little dry"

Hunter put her head on Featherhearts shoulder as she enjoyed the muffled music coming from the room nearby. she then moved closer and started to snuggle into him, putting her head on his chest she heard his heart-rate increase and giggled

"your heart is beating so fast"

she pecked him on the lips and snuggle back into his chest

He liked having her so close to him, it made him feel calm and at peace.

"You're so nice to me, I only have 6 other friends, I don't like to make a big impression"

He put his hooves around her, holding tight to her warm body.

"Is there anything to do up here"

He had never had a mare so close to him before, and he had never felt so much of another pony in his life.

Back at the bar.... Shade was still sitting... She watched as hunter and that other colt left and kissed and all that...

Shade finished her drink, left bits on the counter and walked away... She was back in that dark corner...

"Why do I bother to come to thees parties... All I ever do is stay in the dark corner... Even at the welcome party pinky threw for me... Sigh*... Well... I don't know... I just don't know....

It was a while before Faceless realized he had been asked a question. He blushed and answered.

 

"It's a pretty nice place. For a small town, however, it has its own excitement I guess that is due to the Elements of Harmony. The Magic one, Twilight, has an amazing library that I use all the time. Everypony knows Pinkie, obviously. You can't get three centermetres into town without her knowing. She works at a lovely place, Sugarcube Corner. It's a good life...

 

"So, what do you do for a living?"

"Actually, I'm unemployed. You see, my parents were rich and left behind a fortune of money to my sister and I in their will. My older sister, Lucky Penny, is an earth pony and she works at a bank. She is quite good at saving and helping ponies get out of debt. Me on the other hand, well, I don't work because I don't need to. I already have plenty of cash. I just wonder around and um... can you keep a secret? You see, since I'm a unicorn, I have unicorn magic. My particular magic can cause good luck. I just like to spread luck everywhere I go. I guess you can say it's a hobby. I go to a lot of events for this purpose, in fact, the reason I came here was to make sure that everyone had a good time. What to you do for a living?"

"I'm pretty much unemployed as well. I try and do odd jobs around the town and help out whenever needed. I sort of do have a hobby of uncovering mysteries of the past. Knowing Twilight Sparkle helps as she can usually give me some ruins to look over or something like that.

 

"That will usually get me some bits if I find anything of value or am paid for retrieving information... It's more interesting than it sounds."

 

I go quiet, not mentioning my past. I shake the three bangles on my leg nervously.

 

"I noticed your magic at the door, quite the trick getting the legendary DJ-PON3." I wink knowingly.

 

"You don't have to worry, I'm good at keeping secrets and I think it's amazing what you are doing."

"well, the night's still young"

she nuzzled his neck and got off the couch, trotting across the room and turning on a stereo that played slow paced music. she trotted back over and offered him a hoof

"would you like to dance? I dont mind if you cant dance, Ill teach you"

"Well thanks, but I would hardly call my magic amazing. I heard that the old cave systems beneath Canterlot are still in operation, in fact, legend has it that there is a hidden city down there! You never know what lies beneath Canterlot.... Perhaps you should check it out. My father would always read me that tale when I was a filly. The book is called The Hidden City, I'm sure your friend Twilight will have it somewhere. You should gather a team and head down there while you're here in Canterlot. Be sure to let me know what happens!"

"I'm not Equestria's greatest dancer"

He takes her hoof but is unsure whether to get up or not. Giving her a worried look Featherheart stood up and walked her to the middle of the room.

"Um... you take the lead I'm not so good when it comes to dancing, four left hooves you see"

He laughed as he nuzzled her neck softly.

"like I said, I don't mind if you can't dance"

the both started to slow dance in beat to the music. a twinkle sparkled in hunters eye

"this must be him, the one I've been looking for"

she smiled as she rested her head on featherhearts shoulder, taking in the romantic moment. her heart started to flutter and she leaned in and kissed him with her passion, she enjoyed the moment so much, her wings started to flutter

Featherheart pulled back.

"Take it easy there, I've never been this... forward, or at least never met anypony this forward in my all my life"

He looked back at his flank, in hope it might have a new cutie mark on it, but it was as blank as always. Turning back to Hunter he got a good look at the party below.

"I'm not so keen, actually I'm a little nervous"

He bowed his head and looked down at her hooves.

I blink at this new information. Make a team? This mare knew some stuff!

 

I leaned in, hugged Clover and kissed her on the cheek. "Thank you so much! I haven't had any good luck recently. It's true that you have a talent.

 

I look into her eyes again, only to blush nervously at the whole declaration...

"no, its my fault, I should of asked you before I kissed you. you've been so caring to me, I-I-I think I love you"

she lifted his head pack up and placed her head on his shoulder again

"did I just say that? I really DO love him, I hope he doesnt freak out. I shouldnt be too forward"

"Oh, I think someponies calling me. I better go talk to them"

Featherheart ran out the room, he looked for a place he can feel at peace. All he could think about was the two ponies on the balcony -so he ran straight for them with out thinking- with a thud he ran into a green unicorn. He scrambled to his hooves.

"I'm so sorry here let me help you up"

He held his hoof out for the unicorn.

"Woah, what's the hurry?" Faceless says, slight concern in his voice. He helps Clover up to her feet to her feet and turns to the colt in front of him.

 

"I don't think we know each other. I'm Faceless Flyer, and this is Lucky Clover." I gesture to Clover on my right. "So who might you be?"

tears started to river from hunters eyes when featherheart left

"my heart has been broken so many times, why does it hurt as bad as always?"

she sat on her couch and bawled her eyes out more

"i hate myself, i fall in love far too easy, I meet a nice, caring colt and i buck it up! money just cant buy happiness"

[Lucky Clover 22]

"Oh my Celestia! You look like you've seen a ghost! Are you alright there?" Lucky Clover giggled, thinking it was funny. But when she saw the expression on the pony's face, she realised that this might be serious. "Oh it's ok darling, what's your name? Tell me what has happened and maybe I can help." she said with a soothing tone. This pony could sure use a little good luck.

Shade saw featherhart run out of hunters room and bump into 2 ponys on the other side of the room...

Shade made her way to hunters room and entered, she saw hunter crying on the couch

 

"Um.. What happened hunter? I know it's probably not my busnus but......"

 

Shade auquardly stood there waiting for hunters response.
