Rose smiled (*He cared about me, when he didn't even know me!*), but her tone contradicts her expression as she digs through her satchel and lectures him. "That's not how curses work. The effect gets stronger with time. I want you to eat these," she said, giving him a couple herbs. "Make sure you lean over the balcony before eating the yarrow, and you should really eat the yarrow first.."

Shade woke up after difbulating herself... Then threw up... Again...

 

"Uhg... What the buck happened?".. Shade saw herself warped in vines...

 

She cut them with her electricity and walked out to the balcony ... She saw percussive with another mare...

 

A tear ran down her cheek and turned away quickly walking away.

Percussive looked at the few herbs with a confused look. Eating those were to help? They looked nasty to begin with...

 

"All right.", he simply said, as he leaned over the balcony, taking a bite at the yarrow first. Immediately, he started gagging from the taste, but luckily, he didn't spit it out or anything. After swallowing the first herb, he went onto the second, the same thing repeats.

Rose looked at Percussive apologetically. "The yarrow is supposed to make you sick, to eject whatever punch may still be in your stomach. The rest of it is to purge your system of the curse. This is the only way to get rid of it entirely.."

 

While Percussive was leaning over the balcony looking rather green, Rose looked around, and then jumped when she laid eyes upon Shade. *How did she get out!?*

 

"Stay here. I have to deal with something... Don't worry! I think I can walk straight by now."

 

The wilted rose inside, that had once been a part of the circle, seemed to perk up as Rose Petal came back into the room. Glancing around, Rose saw a flank, riddled with sparks of electricity, disappearing around a corner. Rose picked up her eager flower, replaced it behind her ear, and followed, hoping to catch up to the mare.

As Percussive choked down the final herb, he turned to Rose, who didn't seem to be with him anymore. "Rose?", he softly said, still feeling nauseous from the yarrow. He could see her walking down from the living room, confused as to where she was going. "Wait!", he said, but still a bit quiet, as he walked to where she went.

Rose groaned. The electrical pegasus had escaped her. She continued on her way down the hallway, fully aware that Percussive was following her. *That pony is too stubborn for his own good*, thought Rose, smiling slightly. She paused suddenly, standing stockstill. She could hear a quiet sobbing from the next door on her right. Cautiously opening the door, Rose peeked into the room, and indeed, there she was.

 

"Shade?" She asked, somewhat shyly, but not unkindly.

"what do you want.... oh wait, i dont cair... why dont you go talk to percussive some more?"

 

shade opened her wings and bolted away in a lightning bolt....

 

* i dont know why i bother.... thees things never last long anyways... i should just live alone and be alone for the rest of my life*

Right when Percussive got a bit closer to Rose, she heard Shade talking and saw her blasting out of the scene. What was she...

 

He immediately started blushing. Shade thought that he and Rose... He couldn't help but back away a bit, still shocked by the reaction.

"No, wait! I need to talk to you!" Rose surprised herself slightly by shouting, but it couldn't be helped. This pony was wearing on her patience, and Rose was not going to tolerate being ignored. Horn growing green, the rose that Rose characteristically kept with her lengthened, and she attempted to use it as a lasso to snag onto Shade as she flew away... For a moment Rose thought she had missed, but was suddenly dragged out of the window after the pegasus. It seemed she had lucked out, and one of the thorns on the makeshift rope had snagged in the pegasus' tail... Edited November 28, 2012 by Descant

shade felt the the rope on her tail... she looked back to see the unicorn being dragged...

 

shade sighed and flew back to the room she was at...

 

she landed and...

"very well then... what do you want? iv had a rough night so make it quick"

 

shade said impatiently and glared at the unicorn

"I'm sorry about my plants," Rose said unblushingly as she returned her rose back to its original proportions and replaced it in her hair. "It was necessary, though. I did what I had to do. You were cursed. You still are, actually." Staring boldly right back into those eyes glaring so angrily at her, Rose said, "Do you mind if I give you some herbs? I can still heal you."

 

 

(OOC: At this point, Rose is unaware there was any sincere attraction between Shade and Percussive; she's acting under the assumption that it was a result of the curse that Shade was all over him.)

"What gave you the idea that I'm cursed? Maby the electricity in my mane? Do what you can... It won't help, I will still be cursed by this thunder."

 

"Hm... Well... Go ahead..."

 

Shade was glairing and was waiting for this cure... But she knew that it woudent work...

 

She was unaware of the poison in the potion... All she could remember was her gulping down the punch then fainting...

Rose glanced at the electricity, and laughed. "No, no, no. Please, Shade, I'm not a filly. Of course that's not what I was referring to. No, somepony cursed the punch that Percussive said you drank so much of." As she pulled the yarrow and the other herbs she would need to cure Shade out of her satchel, Rose added, "That's why you almost strangled him, isn't it?"

Shade didn't know what the unicorn was talking about...

 

"What are you talking about? I just fainted from drinking so much... Then woke up with plants holding me down... Oh ya here's the good part, I see you all over percussive... Now if you'll excuse me... I have an endless storm to rain all over equestria so I can get banished by Celestia..."

 

Shade started to walk away...

"Wait... Was there actually something between you and Percussive? I thought that that was just the Curse acting," Rose said, blushing slightly. Two and two finally seemed to be adding up, and she wasn't very ecstatic about it. "You were anything but unconscious, Shade. That punch you drank had a love curse placed upon it. You were going to kill him with the hugs you were giving him if I hadn't intervened. You probably would have bit half his face off if you'd tried to kiss him. And you NEED to eat these herbs before you leave, or it'll just happen again." Her voice grew stronger and more confident as she thought of Percussive, and Faceless, and how she was the only one who could protect them. "I won't be able to save him a second time. Shade stopped in her tracks

"Love curse hm? That not a curse... This lightning and thunder that inside me is a curse..."

 

Shade turned to the unicorn

"Iv been cursed my entire life but didn't know it till weeks ago"

 

Shade raised her hoof and lifted her fore mane showing a broken bone that's comeing out of her forehead...

"This is a curse... A love curse is nothing"

Rose was unsurprised. "So, that's the source of your electrical powers and strength, huh? You still seem to have some control over the sparks, and you're far stronger than a pegasus should be. I'm not belittling your loss, no, never!" Rose hastily adds after seeing Shade's expression. "I'm just saying, you've been given quite a lot more than the rest of us. Why pity yourself, thinking you're cursed, when you've been blessed with more than the rest of us could even dream of?" Giving Shade a moment to contemplate this thought, Rose continues, very quietly now indeed, "I'm jealous, actually."

"Hm... The thing is... I only found out about this weeks ago... I have no idea who I am... I don't even know my name... Shade is something I made up... Iv been wondering around equestria for a long time trying to figure out who I am... But I have no luck at at all"

 

It pained shade to think about her past... It always strikes her with how awful it was growing up in a guild...

Rose looked sadly at Shade... "Shh... It's okay. We all have painful memories..." She shifted her hoofs uncomfortably. She could not believe she was about to say this...

"This love curse... It's a lot more dangerous than you realize. I... I've dealt with one before. I lost the first - and only - colt that had ever truly cared about me. And I don't want the same thing to happen to you."

 

Blushing fiercely, Rose silently gave Shade the yarrow, and two other herbs. "I'm not going to make you take it, but I hope, for all of our sakes, that you do."

"Dangerous? Il show you dangerous"

 

Storm clouds surouded the penthouse...

 

"This is a dangerous curse... I can controle storms and make them do as I command... To the point I can't controle them.. That's dangerous"

 

"And another thing... This thunder isn't a curse... I am a curse"

Rose Petal couldn't help being seriously annoyed at this point. She had tried and tried to empathise with the shadow pony, but if Shade was so determined to feel sorry for herself and reject a helping hand, why should Rose help her? 

 

"Fine," Rose said, almost as if she was challenging Shade. The fierce winds were causing her mane to flow impressively, almost gracefully behind her. "Strike down the one pony that seems to have some knowledge about curses and how to treat them. Strike down the pony who is not trying to heal only you, but everypony you come into contact with. Strike me down. I deserve it."

 

Rose didn't know whether Shade would actually strike her down, but she was past caring at this point. She actually sort of believed that she would deserve it. After all, she was just that weird  reclusive pony who spent more time with her plants than with other ponies. She was alone, and always would be. Why shouldn't she stare death in the face and laugh at it?

As soon as Percussive had seen what was going on, he immediately jumped in front of Rose, being the bullet pony for her. There was no way that anypony that was going to get hurt tonight. And he didn't want to deal with this anymore.

 

"SHADE! STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!"

Faceless sat on the floor, being completely alone on the balcony with a vine wrapped around his back-leg. He sighed, irritably.

 

She could of at least released me before leaving, Faceless thought. Flyer suddenly noticed a large formation of thunderclouds rolling in.

 

Oh Celestia, what are you doing now, Shade?

"faceless, are you ok now?"

the concern for her nights love interest was with great strength

"let me get something to free you"

she ran into her greenhouse and picked up some shears. she returned to faceless and cut the vine grabbing his leg

Faceless pulled his leg towards him and twisted it around. "Seems okay. Now that was something I wasn't expecting tonight."

 

Flyer looked over at Hunter and smiled. "So, as I recall, we were at drinks? Should we just pick up from where we left off, pehaps?"
