Angel was sobbing hysterically.  "She came to get me!  She's here!  She came to get me!" Angel said loudly, pounding her hooves into the grass.  She's going to get us!  She's going to get us before I even got to love more then I already do!  I'll have to fight!  I'll fight for us!  I'll do anything!

"Who's here Angel?  Nopony is ever going to hurt you while I'm here, I promise."  Indigo embraced her in a hug.  "We won't let whatever it is hurt you, trust me."  Maybe we should've went somewhere else? "What did you see?"  Indigo hoped that it wasn't actually somepony trying to hurt her, but she could've seen anything.  Indigo was crying lightly but wasn't going to try to hide it.

"My mom!" Angel cried, hugging him tightly.  "N-No!  I can't let her hurt us," Angel said suddenly, pushing herself from the ground and standing with her legs apart, her horn starting to glow silver as she searched for her.  Angel gave a low growl in her throat.  No.

"Your mom?  Why would she want to hurt us?"  Indigo looked around, not seeing anypony.  "Angel, are you ok?  Can you see her? I can't."  Indigo was really worried.  What should I do?  I don't know what she's doing with her horn, but it would probably be bad if I got in the way... But...  Indigo kissed Angel's cheek.  "We won't let her hurt us, I promise."

Angel Feather's horn stopped glowing.  She slumped to the ground, lowering her head so that her hair tumbled over her face.  I don't see her...did...did I really see her?  Then she remembered the pony turning with a smile on her face and bright purple eyes.  No, no.  Mom had gray eyes.  Tears streamed down her face.  I was wrong.  Again.

Indigo didn't really know what to say, so he hugged her close.  Something really bad must've happened between her and her mom... Maybe something worse than my worst day...  I'll keep you safe Angel, I promised myself I would.  "I'm sorry I couldn't stop you from hitting that tree, I won't let anything hurt you while I'm around."  He moved her mane out of the way of her eyes and looked into them after wiping away her tears.  "Will you be ok?"

Safe.  That's the only word to describe how she felt with him.  It was a simple word.  But it was perfect.  "I'm sorry," Angel whispered, not replying to his question.  "I...thought I saw my...mother."  I will have to explain to him eventually, especially after this.  Angel looked up into his eyes.

"It's ok...  And don't worry, your mom won't hurt you, or me.... She will never hurt us as long as i'm here."  Indigo nuzzled her softly.  "Are you hungry? It's getting close to dinner time anyways.  I have a great idea that'll cheer you up."  However, if i'm going to get that to work well I might have to blindfold her when we get to the market...  I don't know how well that will go...

"Yes...yes, of course," Angel said.  I hate myself.  "Yes...that sounds lovely," Angel said, raising her voice slightly to express her delight.  But she was anything but hungry.  What she wanted to do was go home and curl up under the covers.  But she liked this idea of being cheered up.  No one ever tried to cheer her up after one of her episodes.

Indigo was excited about his plan.  He knew exactly where to get all the things he needed to make it perfect.  "All right, now in order to make this the best I can make it, I might need you to be blindfolded.  I can't let you see whats going on or it'll ruin everything.  Are you ok with that?"

Angel smiled softly and tilted her head.  "Sure."  She brushed the thoughts of her mother from her mind and told that part of her to shush and go to bed.  "We can do that."  She didn't ask where they were to get a blindfold.  Surely they could figure that out easily.

"canterlot houses are HUGE. my family house is a compound compared to this, my house is a little bigger than this, not to mention the style of the interior of the house is different"

"well, I'm not too hungry, so something of a moderate portion"

"Medium proportion huh? SO by that you do mean a full three course meal right? No I kidd I kidd. Though a daisy and rose petal sandwich will do right? Hmmm perhaps some berry's instead of rose if you don't like them....What do you think?" Rain stated pulling ingredients out of the fridge and putting them on the counter. "OH I know! What about a nice picnic! Out under a tree nice and relaxing,nopony bothering us."

"oh, I have something at home we could bring too, wait here sweetie"

she pecked him on the lips and trotted out of the house, running to her house she opened the fridge and collected a bottle of wine and a couple glasses and stuck them in her saddle bags. running back to rainy's house.

"I'm back, so are we ready?"

"Alright, well first lets go get a blindfold"  Indigo led her to Carousel Boutique to get a simple strip of fabric.  They were greeted by Rarity, the purple maned unicorn that lived and worked here.  "Why hello, what can I do for you two?"  Rarity said.  "I need a blindfold, i have a suprise for her."  Indigo said nodding towards Angel.  "A.... Blindfold?  Well I have a lovely piece of fabric I can cut that would go just dazzling with her mane, just give me a second."  After a few moments Rarity came back with a white piece of fabric with an intricate black pattern and shiny, diamond fasteners on the ends.  "This should be perfect, and because you two look so cute together, I'll let you have it for free!"  Indigo thanked Rarity and led the now bindfolded Angel to get all the stuff for the picnic.  He picked up a basket to carry everything in.  Indigo led them to the food market so Indigo could pick up what he knew would be a perfect dinner.  After that, he led them to Sugarcube Corner to pick up some cupcakes.  Luckily, somepony was selling some apple cider still and Indigo bought some of that.  His final stop, was at his parent's old friend's house Roseluck.  "Indigo?  I haven't seen you in a long time... And who's the pretty mare you picked up?"  Indigo was somewhat in a hurry, "Nevermind that now, I need to know if you have any of my favorite flowers?"  Roseluck knew exactly what was going on and handed him the flowers.  He then led them to a nice opening.  "Are you ready to take off the blindfold now?"

Angel followed him as they walked around what seemed to be the whole town.  The whole time, she was biting her bottom lip in anticipation.  She couldn't help herself be excited.  Finally though, they stopped.  "Mm hmm," Angel replied.  She smiled at the darkness.

Indigo quickly set up the two sandwiches, both of them with blueberries, grapes and celery on each.  He set up the two mugs of apple cider, a vase with blue wild indigo flowers, and the two cupcakes.  Then he finally took off Angel's blindfold.  I really hope she likes it.

At first, Angel looked around in surprise as she saw the light again.  As her eye sight adjusted, she realized...

A picnic!

Angel laughed.  She threw her front legs around Indigo's neck, her mother flushing from her mind immediately, without her notice.  "Oh, its wonderful, Indigo!"

"I knew you'd like it!"  Indigo hugged her back, happy that she was happy.  I knew it'd be a great idea!  "And you should see what the main meal is, I know you'll enjoy it."  This day has been perfect for me, so I have to make it perfect for her, and I think that this is what will do it.

Angel looked over at the sandwiches.  She lifted the top slice of bread to peek inside at the mushed up fruits and vegetables.  Angel smiles and drops the slice back down.  Then, she takes a risk and kisses Indigo softly on the cheek.  Then, she adjusts her position.

Indigo kissed her back and sat down across from her.  "And, I also got you some special flowers.  They're called wild blue indigoes."  Everything should taste perfect, I made sure to get the best I could get. "I'm really glad you liked my suprise.  I knew that I wanted to pay for our next meal, since you paid for our first."  Indigo blushed a little.

"Oh...you didn't have to..." Angel said, feeling compelled to, even though there was no use.  She reached for the vase of flowers and sniffed them.  She smiled.  "Indigos..." Angel smiled.  "T-thank you Indigo."  Had it really been only a day?  How could she feel so close to someone in only a single day?

"You're welcome Angel."  Indigo smiled and took a bite of his sandwich.  Does this kind of thing happen to everypony?  A day that seemed normal turned amazing.  And it all started when I asked this mare if there was anything going on in town... I would've never expected this to happen this morning.

Angel smiled, taking a bite of her sandwich, the blueberries flavour bursting in her mouth.  She chew slowly, tilting her head slowly and then leaning her head against Indigo as she stared up into the sky.  I love today more then I love any day.  Will tomorrow be better?  I don't know if that is possible.

After hunter left Rain put a few more things in the basket then sat down. "Wow... Today has been amazing." He thought back to the cloud. "Heh no, it wasn't the day but the mare. Shes great. I wonder what shes getting...." The front door opened again."I'm back, so are we ready?" Rain looked up and smiled, she was quick. "Yeah we're good to go." He picked up the basket and trotted out the door with her following behind him. They trotted through the town to the park. Rain noticed a colt leading a mare with a blind fold on."Hm that's kinda odd." He said with the basket partially messing his words up.

Indigo felt wonderful.  He has had the best day of his life.  He enjoyed the feeling of Angel leaning her head on him.  The sky was starting its process of switching to Princess Luna's control.  I'm glad I made Angel happy after that incident.  It looks like nopony has ever tried cheering her up when or if she's had them before. Huh?  Indigo saw movement out of the corner of his eye.  Must be a popular night to have picnics?  He thought as he saw another couple setting up a picnic.  "Hey Angel, looks like either somepony read my mind, or it's just a perfect day for picnics.  Theres another couple over there."  Indigo said softly to Angel and chuckling a bit.
