"I wonder where i am now?" Shining Star asked her self. She walked through the dust covered streets of ponyville. She is wearing her cloak which makes her look like a unicorn. She sees a pink pony try to run up to her and, in an attempt to get away using magic, by accident creates a fire ball, and runs off in the opposite direction. "why can't i just get one simple spell right?" she asked herself after getting into a hiding spot. she sits down, pulls the hood of her cloak over her face and starts crying.

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

Thunder Dash was flying high in the sky doing his daily fly-over for danger. All of a sudden he notices a back figure in a dark hiding spot. Thunder Dash stops. Being the curious one, he goes to investigate. As he gets closer however, he hears crying. 

 

He then sees the crying pony. "Probably just a bad day," he said to himself. He then started to walk away. But something was just not right. He then walked back and introduced himself to the pony. "Hi, I'm Thunder-Dash, why are you crying?" He asked.

Ace was walking through town enjoying the day until he could hear talking, he just decided to continu walking but he saw somepony in the allyway with another who was crying. "Hey, whats going on over there?" Ace said walking over his curiosity kicking in.

Shining star jumps up at the sound of Thunder-Dash's voice. "I...I am not *sniff* crying.* She looks up at Thunder-dash with sad eyes and her mane all messed up and sees that Ace had come over. "oh who am i kidding. every time i try and use magic it always turns into a fireball," she looks at her cloak and back up at the two pegusai standing in front of her.

"A fireball huh? That dosent sound to bad, we all have things we can't master I can't fly....really well." Ace said trying to calm the pony down. "Whats your name? I'm Flying Ace it's a pleasure to meet you." His cheerful ness instintly kicking in making him smile despite everyone elses mood.

with out looking at ace "*sniff* My- my name is Shining Star" Again, she looks back at her cloak. she is debating whether to tell the two pegusai about her wings. but she decides against it. She looks at ace finally "what town is this? and is there anywhere i can get something to eat"" she gets nervous and looks down again

Ace smiled "Shining Star? What a nice name. And welcome to Ponyville Shining Star." He then looked over to the pegasus next to him. "How about it? SHould we get her to sugercube corner?" Ace asked hearing his own stomech growle. She seems to be hiding something under that cloke, oh well I wont press for information.

She then realizes that Ace was looking at her cloak and knew that he was thinking about it. she tries to think of something. "it was my mothers when she was a filly." she said sadly more tears building up in her eyes

Thunder-Dash looked at the little filly. He came a bit closer to comfort it. He felt bad because he knew right then what happened. "Don't tell me..." He said. He then came in to stroke the little filly with her eyes still filled with tears of sadness and sorrow.

Without a word Ace lifted her on his back surprising her. "Well, we better get you somthing to eat and don't worry I won't take you to the orphanage, I feel like eating cupcakes what about you?" Ace asked turning to Thunder-Dash who Ace was greatlf for also trying to calm her down.

Ace just took the coins, looked at them for a secound then gave them back to Shining Star. "Oh no, I don't anything from you, now I know what your gunna say "Oh but i'll feel bad that both of you are helping out I atleast let me give you something." Well no I don't want anything back but I don't know about him." Ace said looking at Thunder Dash.

Ace just took the coins, looked at them for a secound then gave them back to Shining Star. "Oh no, I don't anything from you, now I know what your gunna say "Oh but i'll feel bad that both of you are helping out I atleast let me give you something." Well no I don't want anything back but I don't know about him." Ace said looking at Thunder Dash.

shining start looks at the bits that were handed back to her. She really wanted to give something in return for them helping her. She looks at Thunder Dash and extends her hoof with the bits in her hand waiting for him to take them. What she could not tell them was that she had taken those bits from somepony in town. "Will you accept these two bits for your troubles?" "i am not a thief, but i have to do what i can to survive and find mom and dad" she thought. At the thought of her parents, her wings ruffled under her cloak.

Shining Star just looks at where the pinkie pie was just standing not moments ago. "What is wrong with her?" she asked as she moves the cloak off her face and letting it rest in its spot on her back. "i see a spot for three over in the corner" When they all take their seats shining makes the mistake of stretching and extends her wings under her cloak. She realized what she did almost instantaneous and her pupils go very small. "i-i...uh..."

Thunder Dash sat next to Ace waiting for Pinkie Pie to come back. "That PInkie Pie is like crazy fast. I wonder if she'd ever thought of entering a race. Might leave her opponents behind 'cause she's always on a sugar rush!" Thunder Dash said with a giggle.

Ace smiled "hey don't worry about it we were happy to help, but if you don't mind me asking what quest are you talking about? I think the first thing on your mind should be where am I gunna sleep." Ace was getting more and more couios about this mysterious pony.

He then turned to look at Ace and Shining Star. "Gah, when is that Pinkie Pie coming back?" He asked himself.

"What?" Thunder Dash asked. "Alone? On a quest? But you're just a filly, if you plan to go through the Everfree forest, we're coming with you, either way." Thunder Dash said as he looked at the little filly straight in the eye. 

 

He then turned to look at Ace and Shining Star. "Gah, when is that Pinkie Pie coming back?" He asked himself. 

As if on cue a pink blur appers at your table once it clears it shows Pinkie with a tray with three cupcakes. "Here you go!" Pinkie said laying the tray down. "Thanks Pinkie, here yo ugo." Ace pulled out a couple of bits and handed them to Pinkie who took them. "Okie dokie lokie, good luck looking for your parents Shining Star." Pinkie then bounced off leaving Ace slightly confused. "Parents?"

"If this little filly wants to go see her parents again and states it's a quest, this is gonna be a long journey." Thunder Dash said with a sigh. "In that case." Thunder Dash stood up. "I'll go get packed up." He said as he flew into the air back to Cloudsdale. 

 

As he approached Cloudsdale, he saw his sister Rainbow Dash. "Hey Rainbow, what's up?" He asked. "Oh nothing. What are you up to?" Rainbow Dash asked. 

 

"Gotta help a little filly who needs to go see its parents. But this is not an easy task. It's gonna be a long journey and boy we could use some more help. You up for it?" I asked. "I'll think about it." Rainbow Dash said. After packing his things, Thunder Dash flew back down to where the others were.
