"I dont know. She never told me. But she did say that she was going to be coming by this weekend and that she will have to cause a little bit of trouble every now and then to be able to keep these MP's here. I think you managed to change her heart Thunder-dash...CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!" Shining star yells when she sees that rainbow dash left some cake unattended.

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"W-What do you mean? ...Oh...I see it now. It's because of the bond between you and I. We did not know each other when we first met, but as we journeyed together, our relationship grew. I guess that when I cried tears because it was hard for me to let you go, that may have softened your mother's heart. Maybe that's it. Maybe because she and you want to fit in, and almost everypony hates her, maybe that's why vengance and hatred filled her heart. Kinda like saying "You're going to love me." What do you think Shining Star." Thunder Dash asked as he was now rubbing Rainbow Dash's full belly. He then cast a spell that made more cake appear. "Hopefully the cakes know that I have this spell." Thunder Dash thought.

"I think you are correct on that Major Dash." One of the MP's said as he dropped his disguise. "Do not be alarmed and please do not let any of the other MP's know. I searched for this MP that i am impersonating and he happily left the EMAF. I have been asked to watch over Princess Shining Star as she is loved by you, Rainbow dash, Ace and everypony here." He then reapplied his disguise as the real MP's come down. "I have to agree on that Thunder-Dash. I have felt the sorrow from mother, and i do believe that it is just she wants to fit in." Shining star says as she is swimming in the cakes on the floor.

"Maybe when she comes back next week, I'll talk with her. That may be the best thing to do. It may seem awkward at first, but soon, it will be as normal as it gets. It'll just take some getting used to." Thunder Dash said. "Maybe Chrysalis was good after all. I don't know why ponies can't accept new things nowadays. That just leads to chaos and trouble." Storm Rush said. "I certainly agree with that." Thunder Dash said. poking Rainbow Dash's belly, which made her giggle.

The weekend comes around and the MP's are all rushing around to make sure that the 'High Brass' (officers) are not going to be in Sugar Cube Corner. When the coast seemed clear Chrysalis was brought into Sugar Cube Corner. The MP briefed her on Thunder-Dash wanted to have a word with her. "What could i do for you Thunder-Dash?"

"Well." Thunder Dash said. "I've been thinking. You want to be with your daughter, but people are afraid of you. From this, I concluded that's why your heart was filled with hatred. You simply just wanted to fit in, but ponies did not accept you because of who you are. I accept you for who you are. I could tell by your attitude you simply wanted to protect your daughter. So, I was thinking, would it be nice to live with us in this underground hideout right below Sugarcube Corner? It would be nice to see mother and daughter together again. I just hope the MPs agree to this..." Thunder Dash said. After we get the MPs agreement, I'll make something special for ya." Thunder Dash added.

"It would be nice to be able to live with my daughter, I accept your proposal...What is that sound?" in the distance "Miss, you cant go down there, YOU CANT GO DOWN THERE!!!" Twilight walks through the doors and just stops dead in her tracks at the sight of Chrysalis and Shining Star. "OH by Sweet Celestia's Mane"

"Dang it." Thunder Dash said quitly. He quickly got up. "Twilight, please don't be alarmed. What you are seeing is the new Queen Chrysalis...wait a minute, didn't the MP up there say you can't come down here? But anyway, Queen Chrysalis has changed for the good. It may seem like a likely story, but it's the honest truth. I've been protecting her daughter all this time and because of the bond I had with her daughter, this caused her heart to soften up. Now, she's at peace with us." Thunder Dash said.

"Dang it." Thunder Dash said quitly. He quickly got up. "Twilight, please don't be alarmed. What you are seeing is the new Queen Chrysalis...wait a minute, didn't the MP up there say you can't come down here? But anyway, Queen Chrysalis has changed for the good. It may seem like a likely story, but it's the honest truth. I've been protecting her daughter all this time and because of the bond I had with her daughter, this caused her heart to soften up. Now, she's at peace with us." Thunder Dash said. 

"Well i saw you go up and back down, i got curious about what you were doing down here. And yes, that MP did say i could not come down here." "Please, i am not here on hostile terms, as Thunder-Dash said, i am here as a friend. Please do not tell anypony, especially Celestia and Luna. (whispering) Thunder-Dash, what should we do?"

I already know that Discord is working for her, because appearently, Fluttershy was able to get him to cooperate and find out his mistakes. His mistake was that he was taking advantage of her, until Fluttershy asserted herself and told him what he was doing wrong. Chrysalis, it's kinda the same with you. You simply wanted to get along and no one accepted that. You then got angry and tried to do it by force. But that is not the thing to do. You may not look normal but hey, that's still cool in my book." Thunder Dash said as he came closer to Chrysalis. "All the ponies have to do is give you a chance. But it's gonna be hard." Thunder Dash added. "But for now, let's stay down here until further notice." Thunder Dash said.

Chrysalis looks as if she is hurting. "I just wanted to be loved. but it seemed to hard to ask for. They took one look at me and called me a monster, so a monster i became"

"You're not a monster, you're perfect the way you are. I guess nopony has told this but...you're beautiful the way you are, no exeptions." Thunder Dash said coming to wrap his arm around Chrysalis. "You were never a moster, ponies just called you that for the way you look. That's how some ponies are now a days." Thunder Dash said comforting Chrysalis.

An MP comes running down a few minutes later. "Major Dash, We have a problem! Princess Celestia and Luna are upstairs!" after telling you this Celestia and Luna walk downstairs. "Well, it would appear that my star student was telling the truth about this. And what is this? a young changeling? " Chrysalis just stands there, but the fear in her can be felt by shining star. "thunder, Chrysalis is scared, very scared."

"Chrysalis, don't worry, I'll be right back. Storm Rush, keep an eye on Chrysalis and comfort her the best you can." Thunder Dash said as he exited the hideout and went to see Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. When he approached Princess Celestia, he bowed humbly. "I am here your highness. Anything you need for me to do?" Thunder Dash asked.

"Chrysalis, don't worry, I'll be right back. Storm Rush, keep an eye on Chrysalis and comfort her the best you can." Thunder Dash said as he exited the hideout and went to see Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. When he approached Princess Celestia, he bowed humbly. "I am here your highness. Anything you need for me to do?" Thunder Dash asked.  

"Yes, you may do us a small favor. Explain why you of all ponies are hiding a changeling in your hideout, and for the love of myself do not say thats what a hideout is for. Major, you of all ponies know what the law is about housing a changeling, and the very one that brought war upon us" Celestia says.

The real truth is, Queen Chrysalis wanted to live with us, but because she was hated and despised upon, vegance and anger filled her heart, which is why this started. The last time I saw her, before this, she came to take her daughter back. She realized the bond that formed between her daughter and I. Once she realized this, her heart softened and since then, she has been kind towards Storm Rush, Rainbow Dash and I. She does get a little scared when she sees a new pony because of the past. Bu Princess, this is the truth: Queen Chrysalis has changed...for the good. That is why I am keeping her down in the hideout." Thunder Dash explained.

Celestia is about to object to this when Luna buts in "Major Dash, i am here by reinstating you into the EMAF with your old rank, your job is to be sure that Chrysalis is not up to no good. I can understand what she went through, because i myself have gone through that. We will have a home built for you to accommodate the changelings. Is that good?"

"That is good, but I am still waiting a day or two before I let Chrysalis out in Ponyville. Let's move over to that house when it is complete. Let us know when it is done. For now, we'll stay at the hideout. Thank you." Thunder Dash said as he bowed and when back to the hideout.

between Celestia and Luna "What was that about Luna!" "Oh give it a rest Celestia! I am not going to sit idly by and watch you ruin another ponies life because you cant get off your bucking high chair!" They fly back into Canterlot. Downstairs shining runs up to Thunder-Dash. "are we going to have to leave?"

 

Chrysalis just looks at thunder-Dash and says "She really has taken a liking to you Thunder. Back when i took her home the first time she was screaming for you to rescue her, but she was not calling for you by name, but merely 'Dad' or 'daddy'"

"What?!" Thunder Dash asked very shocked. "Wow! Our bond is definately strong!" Thunder Dash said picking up Shining Star and hugging her then giving her to Chrysalis. "By the way, Princess Luna said a house is being built for us. So, it'll be a matter of days before we're out of his hideout." Thunder Dash added.

Chrysalis takes shining and puts her on her back in between her wings and starts vibrating them slightly. "So Luna is going to give me a chance? what did Celestia have to say about this...(hears the argument outside) Never mind. I do hope you will not mind having an extremely large basement that goes i don't know...a few miles in all directions including down?"

"Well...I think we're gonna have to have a system. Are those hives still active? Because we could use them...or better yet, connect the underground hideout, with the basement of our new house!" Thunder Dash said. "That's a great idea. Once the house is finished, I'll take a measure and then get the approval of the Ponyville Construction Company to start the underground connection. Once the basement gets full, some of the changelings can move to the underground hide out via the passage." Storm Rush said. "I guess I'm gonna have to get that other entrance sealed then." Thunder Dash said. "And then, if both are full, we can have another path that leads away from the house, to an exit hole several yards away from the house, where changelings can exit to go to either hive in case it's full." Rainbow Dash said. "Hey! Why didn't I think of that?" Thunder Dash said. "Alright, this project is gonna be great! There can still be changelings, but now the amount will be able to be controlled via the exits, and my old underground hideout!" Thunder Dash said. "What do ya think of that Chrysalis?" Thunder Dash asked.

"Well i was just thinking of starting a new Hive, but that one sounds much better. I will leave and let the others know of this plan, and do believe me, that it will take them time to get adjusted to being around other ponies. These changelings you see here, have been doing this for years now, but not all the changelings leave the hive like them"

"That's good. They have plenty of experience. As far as starting a new hive, I don't know of any other caves close to Ponyville...wait a sec, there's a cave where a dragon used to live. He didn't bother Ponyville that much. It's in the Northern Mountains right below Froggy Bottom Bog, which is only a 2 minute flight from Ponyville. That would be your best shot at another hive." Thunder Dash said.

"Could we connect everything to that cave? I would like to keep my changelings as close as possible to be just in case something happens i can be there for them at all times." Shining stirs a bit and Chrysalis realized that she stopped vibrating her wings. She starts vibrating her wings again and just before leaving she says "Thank you again for taking good care of my daughter. you know where the hive is so you can come get us when the home is finished, or just send my drone who is standing in the corner...now laying in the corner drunk." She points to a MP that had a way to much cider and is passed out propped on the wall
