[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"Here's a fun little secret." Thunder Dash said coming close to Shining Star. "If you jump on that cloud, rain will start pouring from it. Suddenly another loose cloud came from out of nowhere. Thunder Dash grabbed it. He then gently moved Shining Star's cloud to a place in the factory nopony was in. He then began to jump on his cloud and rain started pouring from it.

Shining Star looked rather confused, but began jumping up and down on the cloud and sure enough, rain started pouring out of it. "I wonder?" she thought out loud and hit the cloud hard causing lightning to shoot out. she laughed and said, "I am so going to prank mommy when we get back"

"I heard that!" Thunder Dash said as he caught another loose cloud and combined his cloud with the other to make a bigger one. "Now, let's take these clouds and prank Rainbow Dash!' Thunder Dash said as he put the cloud that Shining Star was on on his back. he then laid on his stomach on his big cloud and headed back to the tunnels. When they arrived at the underground, Thunder Dash noticed Rainbow Dash sleeping. "Shhhh." Thunder Dash said as he slowly moved in dragging Shining Star's cloud behind him. "Alright, on the count of three, 1, 2, 3!" Thunder Dash said as he slammed his hoofs into the cloud.

Shining star hit the cloud with all her might causing the cloud to once again erupt in thunder and lightning. It backfired and zapped herself and she toppled off the cloud. when she hit the ground she said, "Ouch, did not expect that to happen" the tip of her tail was on fire and when she realized this took off running all over the tunnels yelling "I'm on fire!"

Rainbow Dash yelped in fright as she looked around. Thunder Dash began to laugh not knowing that Shining Star had ran off. Suddenly he heard a voice and and saw Shining Star running as her tail was a blaze. "Oh Shoot!" He said as he grabbed and went after Shining Star. Once he was over her he started bouncing on the cloud frantically as rain poured out of it and onto Shining Star.

Shining Star stood there soaked from head to tail. "Thanks." She said as she continued to stand there. "I am afraid to look, and i am afraid to ask, but here it goes. How bad is my tail." She looks to see that her tail was completely burned up and that all she had left was her tail stub. Her eyes started tearing up

"I can fix that...if I could just remember how to do that spell..." Thunder Dash said trying to concentrate. He then began building power. His body was glowing. He then let out a mysterious Thunderball that engulfed Shining Star. A huge beam of light spread everywhere. When it was all said and done, Shining Star was revealed fully healed and with no burns. "I-I did it!" Thunder Dash said.

Shining Star looked at her mint green tail and jumped with joy. "My tail! Its back!" She started jumping in a circle. then she remembered the prank. "Did the prank work daddy? Was mom scared?" She asked as she came bouncing back to thunder dash eagerly awaiting the answer.

"Oh she was alright." Thunder Dash said with a smile. "But she recovered." He added. 

 

Meanwhile Storm Rush was reading the newspaper. "Oh, wow! The income has skyrocketed! Thunder Dash, you gotta see this!" Storm Rush exclaimed. Thunder Dash picked up Shining Star and headed to where Storm Rush was.. Storm Rush gave Thunder Dash the newspaper. "Whoa! I guess it's because of that new restaurant. It's pretty popular. That's great! With the restaurant's popularity increasing, the income of the restaurant can increase, thus saving enough bits for Ponyville to grow!" Thunder Dash said.

"Wont that cause Ponyville to discover the tunnels that have been built under the village?" Shining star questioned. upstairs the the mail mare knocked on the door and shining star answered the door. she comes back downstairs with an invitation. She read the invitation aloud. "Dear resident, you have been invited to attend the coordination of our new princess Twilight. Twilight became a princess?

"I heard about that." Thunder Dash said. "Let's go, we can't be late. The praetorians are fine. Come on Rainbow, let's go Storm. Let's go see the coronation of the new Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Thunder Dash said as he got his saddlebag and headed out the tunnels, putting Shining Star on his back. The group headed out and flew to Canterlot. When they arrived at Canterlot, the carriage, which the new Princess Twilight Sparkle sat on, was on it's way to the castle. "Oh good, just in time. They got their places in the audience in the castle. Thunder Dash even saw Twilight's parents. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity were also there and so were the CMCs (including Babs Seed). The Wonderbolts had also came. All of Ponyville had showed up.

 

Princess Celestia delivered a short speech: "We are gathered here on this grand day to commerate the inaguration of a new Princess. My most loyal, faithful student, I present to you, The New Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Princess Celestia said. Thunder Dash bowed and so did Rainbow Dash, Storm Rush and everyone in the castle. Twilight Sparkle stepped forward and delivered a small speech, thanking her parents, Princess Celestia and most of all, her friends for the help that got her that far. Thunder Dash then turned to Shining Star. "Any pegasus or unicorn can become an alicorn. It's all in their destiny." Thunder Dash explained.

 

After the ceremony, they returned to the tunnels.

back in the tunnels shining star pondered what Thunder Dash said about unicorns and pegasus being able to become Alicorns. "Alicorns are suppose to be rare, how is it that it is there destiny to become one?" she thought to herself. Shining Star hopped into her bed and drifted off to sleep in deep thought about this

Thunder Dash also took a small nap. After he woke up and noticed Shining Star still sleeping. He gently picked her up, put her on his lap and stroked her fur. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash had went to revisit the Wonderbolt Academy, which she had already graduated out of. She was still awaiting the final event, in which all of the pegasus who attended and graduated out of Wonderbolt Academy were to compete in a very tough race for a chance at a spot in the Wonderbolts.

in cloudsdale spit fire walks up to rainbow dash. "So Rainbow dash, Are you ready to see if you have what it takes to be a wonderbolt? If you are, report to the wonderbolts training site no later than 3:00pm, and we will see if you have what it takes to call yourself a wonderbot"

"Of course I'll be there, see you at three!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew back to the tunnels. When Rainbow Dash arrived back in Ponyville, she checked the clock. It was 2:30. "Heh, just enough time to get a snack and head back up there...maybe I should let Thunder Dash and the others know." Rainbow Dash said as she headed back to the tunnels. When she arrived, she noticed Thunder Dash napping. "Psst, hey, Thunder." Rainbow Dash said quietly. "Huh...what's up Rainbow?" Thunder Dash asked sleepily. "The day has finally arrived, it's my final test to see if I earn my spot in the Wonderbolts." Rainbow Dash said. Thunder Dash jumped up. "What?! Already?! W-What time does it begin?" Thunder Dash asked excitedly. "It starts in a half an hour." Rainbow Dash said. "I was thinking of heading to Applebucks for a quick bite before I head over to the Academy." Rainbow Dash added. "Sounds like a great idea." Thunder Dash said. "Ooh! Count me in!" Storm Rush all of a sudden said. Thunder Dash noticed Shining Star still sleeping. "Shining Star, wake up, we're going out." Thunder Dash said softly.

Shining Star jumped up with a jolt. "We are!" She takes off and grabs her saddle bags and and runs back in front of Thunder dash. "Im ready, i dont know where we are going, but i am so ready to go!" She said excitedly then calmed down. "Where are we going exactly?"

"First we're stop by Applebucks and get something quick, then we're headin' to the Wonderbolt Academy, Rainbow Dash is gonna compete for a spot in the great flying elite team known as The Wonderbolts." Thunder Dash explained. "Now let's hurry." Thunder Dash said as he headed out.

Shining Star followed closely behind, and when they got topside, she took in the bright sun again. She then got adjusted to the light and started following the group to applejacks barn. "This is the first time i am going to applejacks farm. I wonder how big it is"

Thunder Dash noticed Shining Star wandering off. He then went and swooped her up. "No time for exploring, we've gotta get to Applebucks.

 

When they arrived at Applebucks, Rainbow Dash ordered a quick burger. Then it was time to head to the Wonderbolt Academy. It only took two minutes to arrive at The Wonderbolt Academy. There was 10 minutes to spare, so Rainbow Dash warmed up by taking several laps around the Academy. She then went to the cloud course and did several times around that. Then, the time arrived, for the test, the test to see who will become an official Wonderbolt. "Alright Rainbow, this is it! Good luck!" Thunder Dash said. "Rainbow's gonna be awesome!" Storm Rush said. 

 

Before anything started, Spitfire took a headcount to make sure everypony was there. Everyone was there on time. "Alright ponies, you all know what you're here for, to prove that you are a Wonderbolt! This is your final test. Your test will be divided into three parts: agility, handling and performance-based flight. Each of you will be individually evaluated and at the end, the results will be in. Alright, let us begin! Our first test will be the test of speed, how fast you can complete each task." Spitfire explained. "This should be a cinch for Rainbow, after all, she could clear the skies in 10 seconds flat." Thunder Dash whispered in Shining Stars ear.

Shining Star pulled out a little flag with rainbows face on it and started waving it. "Come on Mommy, Show these slowpokes what real flying is all about!" she cheered. her stomach started growling, so she snuck off to the mess hall and tried to find the mess sergeant. "How do i know the ranks and where the food is, i will never know" she said to no pony in particular

Thunder Dash noticed Shining Star's dissappearence. He then went over to the mess hall and found her looking for food. The mess sergeant looked at Shining Star. Usually, only cadets get food but since this was the day of the final exam, he let any guests attending have food. "You can have whatever you want, as long as you leave some for the others." The mess sargent adressed Shining Star. "Come on Shining Star, the first part's about to begin!" Thunder Dash said.

Shining Star grabbed a daisy sandwich and a chili dog and rushed back out to the field. She turned the corner to fast and slid down the hall, stopping and rushing back down the hall to get back to the stands. When she did finally get back t the stands she went a little to far and came to a stop on the wrongs side of the bleachers. Blushing she comes back and sits down

The cadets including Rainbow Dash were all in a line. The first speed test was an obstacle course. Cloud Chaser was up first. She did pretty decent but Spitfire wasn't that all impressed. After a few more, it was Rainbow Dash's turn. She went through the obstacle course as fast as she could and pulled off a 20 second run. That was two seconds above the Academy Record. "Whoa that's a new record!" Thunder Dash exclaimed.

shining Star cheered as loud as she could waving around the flags that Rarity had made just for the occasion. "Go mommy!"Shining star cheered forgetting about everything, and especially, forgetting where they all were at. "A record, awesome, whats the next course?"

"Well, the next course is the weather course, navigating through a simulated storm as fast as one can." Thunder Dash said. "Rainbow Dash has practiced this many times. This is probably one of the hardest challenges for her." Storm Rush said. Rainbow Dash did pretty well, but almost got struck by lightning at the final turn of the course. "Oh yeah, here comes my favorite! The dizzitron!" Thunder Dash said.
