"Thunder dash assured us that it was safe to go outside. and now this is happening" Nyx began, "i thought the ponies here were nice, (her pupils go small) Silverfang is still out there! He flew off when Moondancer didn't come back!" Shining Star flattened her ears and watched as Nyx tried to run out of the tunnels

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

Thunder Dash was disappointed that all of this happened. He took the blame on himself and said nothing. He went to a deeper part of the tunnels to have to time for himself. Meanwhile Storm Rush had returned with Silver Fang. Rainbow Dash was making sure all of the other changelings were ok. Thunder Dash was in a deeper part of the tunnels, on the verge of crying.

Chrysalis walks up to Thunder dash. "Whats wrong? why are you crying? (fear then appears on her face) Did something happen to Shining Star! I my foals hurt, are they missing!" She could not control herself anymore and she started freaking out. She then managed to calm down just enough to stop hyperventilating and looked at Thunder Dash. "Thunder Dash, Please tell me my four foals are not hurt."

"Shining Star is definately okay, all three are doing well, but earlier, one was slightly injured BUT, he's okay now. Here's the entire truth. Shining Star wanted to go out, and the praetorians said they wanted to accompany her. I told them to stay in their changeling form. Two decided to go to the post office. This is where all the chaos begins, but we were able to stop it quickly and prevent the praetorians from harm. Ponies STILL don't know how to treat changelings. And it's almost been six years since the incident. I feel that there's nothing to do but to keep trying, but the thing I'm afraid is, that it'll just be the same thing. I TRULY absolutely want changelings and ponies to live together in harmony, that's what I'm aiming for, and the truth is, I'm doing it...for...you, because of what you had to suffer through." Thunder Dash said trying to hold back the tears.

"Have you reported this to any of the guards? I have been talking with Luna, and she also wants this, Ehh, Celestia not so much, but still, if you go to the night guards, then maybe something can be done about this. I just had a hunch that shining star was looking for answers" she trails off at hearing shining star  walking down the tunnels. 'I was never here" she said hurriedly and took off. Shining Star however was lost in thought walking down the tunnels that she didnt realize Thunder-dash was there and walked right past him. "Who do i know other than Apple jack that is good at ropes? Come on Star, think! Think!"

"Hey, Shining Star, you seem to be in pensive thought. You must be thinking about who could've roped Moon Dancer." Thunder Dash said. Back in the main tunnel, Rainbow Dash was looking at herself in a mirror like rock adoring her new Wonderbolt Uniform and Storm Rush was making sure the changelings were ok.

"Im trying to figure out who could have Roped Moondancer and Silverfang. Nyx is scared out of her mind now, even if her job is to protect me, you can see the fear in her eyes, and Silverfang said something about a dark masked pony with a cape." She said after jumping onto the ceiling when Thunder Dash broke her concentration

"Hmmm, I'm gonna report this to Luna's guards. So later when the night falls. I'll go seek out one of Luna's guards." Thunder Dash said as he then came back to the main section of the tunnels. "Feeling better?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Yeah, thanks." Thunder Dash said as he fetched the newspaper.

Later that night two night guards were patrolling the streets of ponyville. "Exactly why are we here?" the first one asked. the second one replied "We are here to make sure nothing happens to a changeling and because Princess Luna ordered it." The first one complained. "We have been here for three months, and not a single night have i seen a changeling"

That night, Thunder Dash went out to search for guards. As he was looking, he noticed two chatting with each other. "Sirs, I have come bring some important news. One of the changelings was roped today by a mysterious pony. Appearently, it happened to a second changeling. The changeling, Moon Dancer, described the pony as having a dark mask and a cape. Due to this predicament, I think you'll have to work slightly overtime." Thunder Dash explained. "I'll go let Princess Luna know." Thunder Dash added as he headed to Luna's Lair. When he arrived, he bowed respectfully. "Princess Luna, I have come to bring important news, which I have just shared to two of your guards. It appears that we have somepony trying to harm the changelings. Moon Dancer, and another changeling were found roped and knocked out cold. Moon Dancer was found outside of the library, and the second changeling Silver Fang, was found hogtied in the Everfree Forest. Could you please share this with your other guards or help me find and take down whoever's doing this. The changelings mean no harm to Ponyville. All they want is just for ponies and changelings to live together in harmony." Thunder Dash explained.

Luna summoned some of her generals and they left after being explained of what they had to do. "Fear not Thunder Dash. Though it will be unusual for them to do so, they will be working in the day shifts around ponyville to make sure no harm will come to the changelings. If you happen to notice suspicious activities, please do report them to the nearest guard."

"That's perfect. Hopefully the ponies around Ponyville will get used to it quickly." Thunder Dash said. 

 

Back at the tunnels, Storm Rush and Rainbow Dash were sleeping soundly. Rainbow Dash had a dream, a dream of her first flight with the Wonderbolts. Soaring in the air with those elite flyers, but remaining humble, 

 

Back at the lair, Thunder Dash then bowed to Luna once more and headed back to the tunnels and went back to sleep.

Shining Star, got up, unable to sleep and went to Rainbow Dashes and Thunder Dashes room. There she saw her parents asleep and crawled up on the bed and tried to wiggle herself in the middle of the two with out waking them up. once she was in the middle, she laid her head down and attempted to go back to sleep. Moondancer was doing the same thing, only with Silverfang, and Nyx was out cold dreaming of a party.

Thunder Dash started to move once he felt Shining Star getting in between him and Rainbow Dash. He then turned and wrapped his arm around Shining Star. Storm Rush was sleeping in another room, which was shallow and he could hear some of the clip-clopping of the night guards roaming around Ponyville.

In Nyx's dream she was having a big party, hosting it everypony and changeling was having a great time. She however did not see a pink hyperactive pony running up to the party with a party cannon, and when it was too late to do anything Nyx was hit dead on with the party cannon while Pinkie Pie yelled "PARTY!!!" Nyx was woken up by this trailing a deathly scream so loud that the night guards heard this and froze in their tracks. Silverfang the only true guard was in his armor and his sword in his magic looking for the enemy. "What the Buck!"

Thunder Dash woke when he heard the scream, and so did Rainbow Dash. "What was that?" Thunder Dash asked. Suddenly Storm Rush came into the room. "Ugh, dude, what in the hay was that noise, and I was in a deep sleep too." Storm Rush moaned. "No time for complaining Storm, we've gotta figure out what just happened. Thunder Dash gently picked up Shining Star and put her on his back. When he came to the surface, he saw guards running about. He stopped a guard. "What just happened. Don't tell me a changeling was caught and scared somepony, or was it that masked pony again." Thunder Dash asked.

"We have no idea. The scream came from around here" Down in the tunnels, Silverfang rushed into Nyx's room to see her shaking like a leaf. He dropped his sword and hugged her trying to calm her down. "Its alright Nyx, you just had a bad dream, thats all. Everything is going to be alright" he said trying his best to calm her down

Thunder Dash then teleported back to the tunnels, to find the scared changeling cringing and shaking. 

 

He then immediately teleported back to the guards. "One of the changelings just had a nightmare, that's all. It's kinda hard to believe that you heard that scream from down in the tunnels." Thunder Dash added.

"Sir, that scream was so loud we thought it was up here." Silverfang had managed to get Nyx to go back to sleep and he tucked Moondancer in beside her. He then proceed to sit down in a chair propping his sword up on the chair and sat in the chair with a worried look on his face.

"Sorry to confuse you, but, the changeling who had that nightmare is a young one, not as young as Shining Star, but still. Anyway, I'll see what I can do to prevent further confusion." Thunder Dash said as he saluted the guard and headed back to the tunnels.

Silverfang ended up falling back asleep with his sword in his lap. Moondancer was recounting the events that played out right before the failed attempt at a ponynapping. He remembered when the rope came over his neck and pulled him, he let out a scream and then everything went dark. Chrysalis came running down the tunnels and stopped out of breath in front of the door. She remained outside the door trying to catch her breat

Thunder Dash heard the steps and woke up to find Chrysalis. "Memories of the bad events have been keeping the changelings awake. I'm still worried that it'll take a very long time for them to forget about them. I was debating whether to use a memory spell to make them forget about it, but we will need the details...it's just so hard, so many decisions to make. I wish you could stay and help..." Thunder Dash said with a sigh.

"I would want nothing more than to stay with my fillys and colts, but you know as well that i can not. Have you found out who hurt my Foals?" She asked as she walks inside being ever so careful as not to make too much noise in the event that the foals would wake up.

"All I know is that it's a masked pony with a cape. This is all Moon Dancer told me. I do not have anymore details. However, Luna's guards will be searching day and night, keeping a watch for suspicious activity." Thunder Dash confirmed trying not to make too much noise.

"A Cape? I cant possibly be the Mare-do-well, or a doppleganger?" As Chrysalis pondered over who it could have possibly been, the guards check the mane six out and check out their alibis. After talking with Applejack, Pinkie appeared in the tunnel. "So do you need help finding meany mic meanerston?"
