Well there is like a bazillion songs where I thought about ponies, so here's my list

Rarity: Hanging by a thread - Billy Talent

Why?: I don't really know, but this song has always reminded me of her. The singer sounds like a male Rarity in the beginning with the "Hello, hello, hello my darling, have we reached the end?" part and also the symbolic use of the "thread" is related to Rarity and her love for fashion.

Applejack: Fallen - Volbeat

Why?: Well I didn't want to choose the stereotypical country song, so I thought some rock n' roll would suit her as well. I chose the song Fallen because the death of her parents is somewhat confirmed in season 2.
