Shadow charged at him but before she got close enough for him to strike at her she teleported behind him and went for a kill shot by trying to run her sword through his abdomen.

Midnight walked in and smirked noticing the two ponies and rolling his eyes chuckleing playfully, "well, should i get the flowers and the velvet covers?" he shook his head, "by the way lovebirds, names midnight."  he smiled and held out a hoof, "from what i gathered, yours is hank, and yours is shadow." he smiled at each.

"its nice to meet another creature of the night," he looked over at shadow, "though our kinds are diffrent, we were created by the same pony.....far as i can tell anyway."

he shook his head, "anyway, by the way your both staring at me, i can tell im being rude, so ill leave you two lovebirds to it," as he walked to his bunk, far away from everyone elses, he threw over his shoulder, "and....just a favor, keep the noise down eh?" he laughed in a teasing yet friendly manner.

"how about we go for some ranged practice." Shift was in unicorn form and he levitated his 2 metal discs with his green magic.

midnight chuckled, "nahh, he gets bored easilly, but hopefully things get interesting soon." he picked up his bow and quiver, "i have nothing better to do, being a werewolf, cant really sleep" he laughs lightly "but the fatigue has its advantages."he nods and follows shift out too the range, "i prefer the bow and arrow to anything, i was a scout in the EDF, it meant i could use ALL my abilities.....without somepony breathing down my neck." he snorted, "damn generals, started getting nosey about my life."

Picking up his two discs with magic, careful to only grab the inside rings so as not to dull the blades, he launched them at the targets. They both made contact with the first dummy. With a flash of green magic Shift made them dance around the dummy for a few seconds before they floated lazily back towards him. The dummy shattered into well over two dozen pieces 

"This form is the only one where I have descent range, but it is pretty weak physically, so I dont let my enemies within ten feet of me, otherwise I change." 

He brought the two discs closer to inspect their edge.

midnight drew his bow standing on his hind hooves with a balance only seen in a few other creatures like taurens, he drew an arrow, and quickly drew it back, pulling the bowstring too his cheek, then without much time to aim, he fired, drawing another one before the first hit the target and letting it fly. both hitting the dummy, one in the heart, the other in the head.

he smirked maliciously, "heh, instant death."

Shadow can see the panels on the back of his head as they are Celestia's armies emblems "so shadow... i hope i can do as good as i did back in the last army i was in."
