writing I wish I were a tree

If only i could be a tree

Able to grow and endure

Always present and expanding

True to the very roots that made me

 

I truly wish that I were a tree

Able to throw my branches into the world

Sheltering those who choose to stand beneath me.

And as every season comes to pass, I show more experience

 

Oh, if only i could be a tree

Oh, the things that i would see.

From my leaves that bristle in the wind

To the changing land I am planted upon

 

If i knew nothing else

Then surely I could be a tree

Definitely I feel that a tree is an innocent creature.. a constant victim to our destruction and our greedy needs, they live such simple lives, and yet they contribute to so much every day lovely poem ^^

I love the poem, BronyHeart. It symbolizes how much the simple things helps us. In more ways than being chopped down.

 

I remember this one apple tree that's on my grandfather's farm...
