really 61 I thought we had more but I'm not gona argue, I don't mean to nit pick but uhhh in the title it just says mlp not mlp fim, just sayin.

 

Yep, 61. 26 in season 1, 26 in season 2, and so far 9 in season 3, although we are getting 4 more. 

 

Also, this is in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic forum (subforum: Show Discussion). It's kind of obvious we're talking about this generation.

At the end of this season we will have 65 episodes already. Two more 13-episode-seasons will bring us to 91 episodes.

With the amount of popularity it has gotten over the time it's been on the air the show seems like it's going to last for quite a while.

I have fantasized that the series will have 130 episodes and a movie. And here's how that would work:

 

We already know that:

Season 1 has 26 episodes 

Season 2 has 26 episodes

Season 3 has 13 episodes

 

which is a total of 65 episodes. Than they could repeat the pattern for the rest of the series:

 

Season 4- 26 episodes

Season 5- 26 episodes

Season 6- 13 episodes

 

And than we would finish it all of with an epic movie finale!

 

This would leave us with a total of 130 episodes and a movie, which is quite a lot. I don't believe this scenario is very likely, but I can dream can't I?
