Just making this after building up a major rage after watching the Lindsay's "Fellowship of the Ring" review (I'll go into detail later), I thought about making a thread in the forums over there, but past experiences with the community over there taught me that they don't take well to criticism of the critics.

 

So here's the question: Does anyone else find this women absolutely unbearable, or is it just me?

 

Also, general discussion of the page and peolple there in general.

While I've disagreed with Lindsay before, she did a review of "Fellowship of the Ring"? Where could I find it? Is it really that bad? I'm sure it can't be as bad as G4's review of the Wii U (kind of off topic, but it came to mind when I think of bad reviews).

 I liked her earlier work honestly.  Her Pocahontas and Anastasia reviews were pretty funny, and I loved it when she went after Roland Emmerich.  But honestly, I don't like her reviewing style that much.  She often comes across as condescending.  For instance, she once went after "The Christmas Shoes" movie (and the song as well in the process).  Do I like the movie?  No, it really has no purpose or reason to exist, but she went after both the movie and song very harshly, and I thought that was rather unfair.  I mean, c'mon, it's a cheesy Christmas movie for Hallmark or Lifetime, it's not like the movie's creators acted as though it were Shakespeare.  No, Lindsay had a clearly hostile agenda in going after "The Christmas Shoes" and I was none too pleased by that, so I really haven't checked her out much lately.  I'm interested to hear how bad her "Fellowship of the Ring" review was, because frankly you couldn't pay me to watch that, much less touch it with a 9 foot pole!!!  Honestly, that's just her trying to garner viewers by causing controversy, going after a movie that's pretty much universally loved (that is, if she does go after it).

 

As for the reviewers I do watch?  Let's see: Brad Jones is one of the most delightfully sarcastic individuals I've ever seen, so I frequently watch Cinema Snob, I love Bennet the Sage's anime reviews (as well as JesuOtaku's, but she hasn't released a new review in awhile, largely because I think she's busy launching her own site), I really love Linkara, and unfortunately have quite a bit of catching up to do on his comic book reviews, Obscurus Lupa is hilarious, Phelous CAN be funny at times, though I generally avoid his horror movie reviews (mostly because I don't like horror movies or slashers), and of course I religiously followed the Nostalgia Critic (though honestly I'm not quite as big of a fan of Doug Walker when he seriously reviews movies, IDK why, just, sometimes I think he misses what makes a movie good).  Finally, I still am an ardent watcher of the Spoony One, even after leaving TGWTG; sadly, he doesn't come out with new videos that often, but when he does, they are a hoot!!!!  I hope for Noah's sake that things start improving for him personally, because frankly he worries me sometimes, especially recently.  Not really a fan of Film Brain or Angry Joe, I just don't really think either of them are that funny of reviewers (and I'm sorry, but Film Brain has the WORST accent, it is so annoying!!!).

I think lindsay is a very natural sounding and acting critic, she is saying what she wants to say without leafecovering her muth.

 

Tough she is not the best TGWTG reviewer

 

Brad Jones as the Cinema Snob and Phelan Porteous as Phelous take the crown of TGWTG . Phelous is the king of Sandwiches ....errr....Metahumor and his jokes work perfectly . The Cinema Snob is the Oldscool king of TGWTG by avoiding Special effects most of the time and he introdust me to Caligula and Exploitation movies in general.I am not talking about Doug Since the Only Show from him that i like is ask that guy with the glasses :http://z0r.de/3693
