Minath froze at the metion of the 'L' word, and wasn't sure how to respond. After a minute or two, she responded slowly,

Minath felt like her stomach might come out of her mouth. Buyfor some reason, it felt good saying that. She had actually never said that before, not even to the closest thing she ever had for a mother, Celestia.

Rambler saw the way she froze up and his heart sunk. He had messed everything up, and now he was going to lose the mare he loved more than anything because he tried to move too fast. But then she responded, and she said she felt the same way. He couldn't be happier. He wrapped his forelegs around her and kissed her. It was the only way he could think of to fully express how he felt.

Minath snuggled up to Rambler, glad that he was there. Mew in all her adorableness came up and snuggled inbetween them, purring. Minath liked her soft fur, the same color as Minath's coat, but stiped and much softer. She petted Mew, practically purring with her.

Rambler smiled as the object of his affections snuggled up to him, feeling like his life couldn't get any more perfect.

Star didn't really notice that what Nightfall said could be taken...awkwardly. She just smiled and took him by the hoof. "Come on then. Let's go swimming." She said, about to walk off towards the pool...but she stopped as she didn't exactly know where the pool was.

"The pool is over here, outside."

He smiled, still blushing, glad that she hadn't at least commented on his awkward wording.

"And it should be nice and warm. Shall I hop in really quick to find out for the both of us?"

She popped her head up above the surface of the water and laughed happily.

"I think I'm the luck one" Minath said. She felt like she must be lucky, to end up with a stallion as amazingly awesome as Rambler. And to have Mew like him too was incredible. Mew wasn't very stallion-friendly, often nipping stallions hooves if she didn't like them.

She popped her head up above the surface of the water and laughed happily.

 

Nightfall held up a hoof, blocking the splash. And she was right about him being right. But Nightfall instead started slowly entering the pool.

"Oh... You know, if you compare the temperature when half your body is out of the water, the water is slightly warmer... it's crazy."

Star smiled and swam over to Nightfall. "I never knew that...that's very interesting." She said, rolling over onto her back and using her wings to steer herself through the water. She looked up at beautiful night sky and smiled. "What a wonderful night." She said.

He blushed, floating on his back beside her.

"Well, that's certainly awful sweet of you to say, even though I disagree with you. I guess we'll just have to compromise by saying that we were both lucky to have found each other tonight. If it hadn't been for this party, we never would have met."

He smiled, pulling her close until they were side by side with their coats touching. He smiled and sighed happily, one of his wings and one of his forehooves wrapped around her.

She felt like nothing could ruin this moment...just her, Nightfall...and the star's. "you know somethin' ? I couldn't be happier right now...I think today has been the best day of my life." She said, using her wings to steer them away from the edge of the pool.

He blushed, looking at her, not saying anything for a couple of seconds, then reached over and kissed her. And he wondered how she would think of this; maybe she wouldn't like it, but maybe she would... he did not know at all.
