Outcomes in this weeks upcoming episode[spoilers]

Okay, Discord will return this episode. 

 

As noted in the summary, Fluttershy thinks she can handle the task of taming Discord.

 

From this point we can see quite a few outcomes that could happen

 

1. Discord and Fluttershy get along

2. Discord annoys Fluttershy to the point where he must be sealed again

3. Discord traps Fluttershy into thinking he would be cames, but it is a lie and he creates a reign of terror again.

4. Twilight and the other four interfere too much, causing Discord to become annoyed and rebel.

 

What's the probability of each event?

 

 

Or, what do you think will happen. The outcomes are like...endless!

I like the theories drifting around that he will revert to his normal pony form of Star Swirl the Bearded. I like the idea of a mage that lost himself to the dark power, but then managed to return again.

Yes, this is is a good theory!  I hope this will be the outcome.   It would be a good twist.

 

If that's not the case my vote goes to number 4, I honestly thought when I saw the clip Discord was going to lose it.

I believe that perhaps kindness will help him get out of his evil ways, but he will probably be reluctant to accept it, and refuting the help throughout most of the episode. I'm not quite sure. I am excited to see it though, can't wait for tomorrow.

 

My guess wasn't really a guess toward the outcome especially since there are endless possibilities and I don't want to get my hopes up about what the episode will be like.

I am dead-set on the fact that he's going to get turned to stone again.

I don't think he can be reformed, since he is the literal embodiment of all chaos and disharmony. I get the feeling he'll just go along with it for a few laughs and not really make an effort, since being petrified is so dreadfully boring all the time.

If the reformation happens, he will have to be sent off/go off somewhere, since I doubt the team plans to make Discord a recurring character, and I'm not sure de Lancie would accept recurring voice acting. Everything would be ruined if they had to grab a sound-alike.

Besides, that 'people change' moral has already been used for Magic Duel. The two morals I can see happening are "You can successfully force people to change if they don't act how you'd like" or "Some jerkholes just never change", both of which sound pretty poor. Alternatively, for the latter, "a leopard can't change its spots", which sounds a bit nicer, but is really just literally the exact same thing.

 

Now that the clip's out, I'm leaning more towards him just not making an effort/making every possible acceptable effort to tick Fluttershy off, Flutts uses a few stares on him, nothing happens, she gives up, re-petrification. With quite a few quirky lines and dry jokes stuck in there, too, of course.

...Really, all I want is for the episode to not play out like Magic Duel. That's all.

I'm going to have to have say that it's kinda hard to even guess. First off, just like anypony else, the first step in reform is personal choice. Discord would have to choose to at least attempt to reform. Second, he have to persist in understanding that choice. Third he would have to accept whatever happens as a result of having made that choice. One can be shown the way but one still has to make the choice first, for if the choice is never made, it is nothing more than simple existence and circumstantial blame.
