  1. That was way, way up there in the list of the most beautiful episodes. I do not cry easily, but there was some welling going on. It did seem a little fast-paced, but they made it work. At least, I think they did. I liked the episode! It was a good one! However, I have one little thing. Cadence is shown with her hair in that crystal-do. Then it's down. Just down. That ruined every bit of immersion I had. Thanks a lot, staff. i kid i kid it's fine
  2. Personally, I love musicals. Forget the real-world logic that says people just don't burst out into random song, lyrics, instruments, and perfect vocals just popping up out of nowhere. I've got my willing suspension of disbelief right here, if it means I'll hear some pretty music. As such, I love the songs in the show. They're well-composed, very pleasing to the ears, and most help to move the story along faster or in a more streamlined way(like Perfect Stallion), or show things that would be a little harder to explain with just regular speech(Smile Smile Smile, maybe Winter Wrap Up). Of course, everyone has favorites, but all the rest of the songs are very good as well. I don't think the show would be the same without them.
  3. Truthfully, I just don't care. There is nothing we can do to change the matter. All we can do is just roll with it and pray that it won't be terrible- which, considering what the crew has pulled off before, it probably won't be. then again that's when they had faust on the team but Everyone just needs to chill and let things take their course. It'll be fine. To be honest, Twilight's kind of cute with a pair of wings tacked on.
  4. Do you have any idea how excited I am for this. No, because none of you know how much I adore Japanese dubs. Or the entire language, for that matter. Regardless of the quality- which is bound to be good, given what I've seen of other Japanese dubs- you can bet I'll watch this one all the way through.
  5. Usually, everyone or everybody. Only everypony when referring to ponies themselves, or perhaps normally with a thick glaze of sarcasm over the entire sentence.
  6. I, for one, think their bare flanks will just keep on being a running gag. I also think that the end of S3 will be focused on the Mane 6, not the CMC, and therefore, there is very little chance of them getting their marks then, regardless of the cutie mark-centered plot. However, I could see a very special episode where they just decide to do what they're talented at and what makes them happy, thus gaining their shiny new butt stamps. Along with a lot of preaching about following your heart and whatnot, of course. After that, I think they'd just become... well, not really 'background' ponies. They'd still have roles, just not as prominent. They'd still be there if an episode calls for a few child-related situations, just with a picture on their flanks and less Cutie Mark Crusader hang gliding. I could perhaps see them giving advice to other blank flanks, but not so much episodes focused on Babs and the others.
  7. Oh, yes. A thousand times yes. I'm really, really big on fanon. Headcanons, pairings, alternate interpretations, woobies, alternate universes, you name it. I think I do a fairly good job of separating it from canon, though. Hard not to, really, when you're constantly reminded that your flawless theory explaining everything will never actually be confirmed.
  8. You don't call a small talking horse a ponie, do you? No. Nor do you call a group of them ponys. And seeing as their names are not simply Pony or Ponie, it shouldn't be capitalized either.
  9. My mom's absolutely cool with it. Totally accepting. I've showed her about 2, maybe 3 episodes so far, if you count jumping the video around to just show the highlights as really an 'episode'. Her favorite pony is Applejack. Ironically, I suspect. She makes jokes about it and the ponies I like, though in a completely friendly manner. I'm grateful to her. My father, on the other hand, does not care in the slightest. He knows, of that I'm certain. I don't know when he found out. I think my mom told him, or he overheard a conversation, saw me watching them, something like that. However, I have heard him say literally nothing on the subject. I imagine he just thinks it's a phase of some sort and lumps it together with everything else I watch. I don't live with my much-older brother, but I can accurately depict his reaction, I think. He'd say something like "My Little Pony? You know that's a kid's show, right, big girl?" and shove my shoulder or something. Then I assume he'd be fine with it. He's a chill guy.
  10. I am dead-set on the fact that he's going to get turned to stone again. I don't think he can be reformed, since he is the literal embodiment of all chaos and disharmony. I get the feeling he'll just go along with it for a few laughs and not really make an effort, since being petrified is so dreadfully boring all the time. If the reformation happens, he will have to be sent off/go off somewhere, since I doubt the team plans to make Discord a recurring character, and I'm not sure de Lancie would accept recurring voice acting. Everything would be ruined if they had to grab a sound-alike. Besides, that 'people change' moral has already been used for Magic Duel. The two morals I can see happening are "You can successfully force people to change if they don't act how you'd like" or "Some jerkholes just never change", both of which sound pretty poor. Alternatively, for the latter, "a leopard can't change its spots", which sounds a bit nicer, but is really just literally the exact same thing. Now that the clip's out, I'm leaning more towards him just not making an effort/making every possible acceptable effort to tick Fluttershy off, Flutts uses a few stares on him, nothing happens, she gives up, re-petrification. With quite a few quirky lines and dry jokes stuck in there, too, of course. ...Really, all I want is for the episode to not play out like Magic Duel. That's all.
  11. For once, I'm not gonna be predictable and go with Lunes. I say Featherweight. Why? He's a cutie pie, that's why. Best colt. -Featherweight.png- Have that in place of a gratuitous Featherweight picture. Don't want to be bothered with pulling a bunch out.
  12. I... No. I just can't see it happening, really. Sorry to kill the joy, but I'm just not feeling it. I just thought that remark was made in passing, not something to note. If anything, it was just hinting towards their little group in Manehatten becoming more like the Ponyville one. I think it'd be pretty difficult to have the sub-Mane 6 split into two different towns, as well. Unless it's like... Skype is Magic, or something. Teaching kids about the joys of internet friendship and webcams.
  13. This seems nice! What you see before you is an accurate representation of me, as usually on the internet. As a side note, that site's great.
  14. Sure, there's alcohol. That cider just isn't alcoholic. As others have said, it needs to ferment for that to happen. I just chalk up the foam as a sort of artistic license. It makes it more easily recognizable as cider rather than just having a foamless mug.
  15. It sucked! Sucked a lot! I don't think you should even dignify it with the term 'creepypasta'. It's more 'bloodybloodbloodgore some really dumb organ puns bloodblood'. That doesn't roll off the tongue as well, though. However, it's pretty good for a pitying little laugh.
  16. Personally, I knew about Cupcakes long, long before I knew what MLD even was. I didn't even know the latter was half as popular as it was at first. I would say Cupcakes. It seems to (sadly) be one of the more notable things of the fandom, that everyone points out when, say, asked where the gutter of the fanbase lies. MLD, on the other hand, I haven't seen very many people talk about. Everyone makes dry jokes and tsk-tsks at Cupcakes, but MLD? Not a word. Then again, maybe I just haven't been lurking the right chats.
  17. Discord is a literal reality warper. He can do whatever he wants. I feel like it's not really his personality, it's that he went easy on the ponies, since he felt like they weren't much of a threat. But when faced with 3 other villains that are quite clearly very dangerous and actually pose a threat, he'd probably realize he shouldn't just toy around. In that situation, there's hardly any way he couldn't win. Out of the other 3, I think I'm leaning the most towards Sombra, or maybe Nightmare Moon. NMM has shapeshifting powers, the ability to possess numerous things, create numerous possessed things, and summon lightning bolts out of nowhere. Sombra has the power of fear, the ability to incapacitate anypony who looks inside a door for an indeterminate amount of time- and there's no saying that the spell on that door is just limited to being put on entrances- the capability to enslave an entire race of ponies, and was such a ruthless, hate-filled ruler that the mere mention of him makes his former subjects turn to a pile of shaking jelly. Chrysalis, though, along with the obvious shapeshifting, has mind control. I think that could be a big turnaround for her if she uses it right, or, say, one of the villains foolishly decides to go on an evil monologue before crushing her into ash. TL;DR: I think out of all of them, Sombra is the most likely. He's a big, imposing, mindless, furious wall of black smoke that will kill and enslave you in ten seconds flat.
  18. Well, in all honesty, I prefer to call myself a pegasister. I think it actually sounds a bit nicer. However, if pegasister wouldn't fit as well, or it's just casual speak, I'll use brony. I will confess that brony seems to hold some masculine connotations to me, despite its /b/ origins, and it makes me feel a bit awkward using it. But that doesn't mean I won't, or that I think that any girl shouldn't.
  19. Twilight. ...Oh, you mean in a death battle? Pinkie, then. While Twilight is professionally trained, the element of Magic, clever and crafty, and knows a highly indeterminate number of spells, Pinkie is a reality warper, even if that's played for laughs. Twilight could nuke her, but all that would likely happen is she'd be singed a bit and cough up smoke. She could rapid-fire spells at her, like (ironically) Pinkie did in A Canterlot Wedding, but either she'd dodge at the speed of light or she'd just quickly move her tummy out of the way. Not to mention she's got hammerspace and an absolutely ferocious little alligator. Equestria doesn't stand a chance.
  20. I have a very in-your-face southern accent. That, combined with my tendency to mumble(slur??) most of the time, makes it so that very few people can understand anything I'm saying. I'd like to think it sounds more like I just have a giant potato in my mouth while I'm talking rather than being directly Applebloom, but there's this very noticeable twang on quite a few words. Don't like it. <_< And boy, I wish I could do fake accents. The most I can manage is the sound of a German clearing their throat and a very drunk Frenchman. However, I really, really love Russian accents. Something about those rough European accents is really appealing.
  21. Really, I'll just do what I always do. Hang out on all my usual sites, watch Let's Plays, play games. Even though I didn't exactly come into the fandom 'early'- that is, S2 was already finished- there was still a pretty good gap until S3. Breezed past it like nobody's business. I'm patient, you see. I find it helps out with quite a few things.
  22. Right here. Been Christian all my life. My beliefs aren't as stable or assured of as a lot of other people's, though, but they're there. I still count, darn it.
  23. I'd say I'm moderately open. I won't go blurting out "PONIES FOREVER" everywhere I go, just having an avatar or making a casual, obscure reference or something is fine. Sadly, I don't have any merchandise, and I'm not looking to buy any too soon, so besides lurking the toy aisles in stores, I've got next to no way of proudly displaying my bronydom IRL. -_- I'm not as closed up as some bronies are. I guess being a pegasister makes it easier. More power to the guys, though!
  24. I love the show because it's just got so much depth to it. On the surface, it's a silly, bright children's show about talking equines, but there's all this lore and background and so many characters, all with depth to them, and each one of them is likable in their own way. I have characters I like less than others, but none that I just flat out dislike, that's that, and that's pretty rare for me. Then there's the amazing fandom, which stretches out the maturity of the show somewhat; all these creative people coming up with ideas and different ways to look at things that wouldn't be necessarily shown in the show, but can be accepted anyway. Original content which just adds to the greatness of the official thing. It's interesting because... it just is. The writers themselves have a huge amount of creativity. The dialogue isn't cheesy and re-used, the plots aren't strained or redone(and if they're slightly re-used, there's bound to be a unique twist on it), and you can't always predict what'll happen minutes in advance like with a lot of other shows. I can see myself sticking around for quite a while because there's so much stuff in it and so little to dislike about it. All in all, it's really well made, not recycled in the slightest, and it's got a great community to boot.
  25. Well, I haven't really met/directly conversed with any, save those typical "PONIES ARE FOR LITTLE GIRRRRLS YOU STUPID BABY" guys around the internet, dime a dozen. Although, around the time the show first came out, one of my friends' brothers got into it, and so did she. At that time, I was vehemently uninterested in the show, and could be labelled as a hater myself. After a while, though, she grew out of it, so to speak, and developed an impassioned hatred for anyone and anything to do with ponies. Eventually, I started to come around, but was kept back by her, so. :/ I don't know why I didn't just become a closet brony. It would've been funner.
