Why hello there, don't mind me dropping in?

Hello everypony, how do you do? My name is Søren*, otherwise known by a very few people on the internet as Xalius. I'm 19 years old and live in Denmark; I studied a 2 year course in web development which I graduated from 26th of September, 2012.

 

I'm a passionate gamer, everything from lovely pixelated and creative games such as Minecraft, to highly detailed and beautiful games such as Skyrim and all those fancy games we have today. My favorite game of all time has to be the Mass Effect series, it's the only game that has touched me on a emotional level.

If I don't play games, I mostly do website related coding. While I may not be the best on that field, I do strive to become better at coding when I have the opportunity and time. All in all, I would classify myself as an above mediocre site developer.

 

So how did I start watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Fasten your seat belts, fillies and gentlecolts, you're in for a wall of text! 

It all started back in early 2012, at that time, I had no idea that the term "Brony" even existed, I only noticed that people had a strange liking in using pony-related avatars on other forums; I thought they were using them to be sarcastic, but I quickly found out that it was not the case. I found forum threads that went on and on for 200 pages and the only thing they were discussing, was the show - how crazy is that?!

I wasn't a hater at the time, nor was I really interested in finding out what the whole deal about this show was, but eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I went on YouTube to investigate what this whole pony trend was about. I don't remember what I searched for, but I remember that my very first episode was episode 11 of season 2 - Hearth's Warming Eve. I also want to state, that no one ever tried to convince me to watch the show to begin with, so I was all open about it and had no expectations other than to find out it was too "girly" but that wasn't it at all.

I sat down and pressed play on the video and during the whole time I was only thinking "what on earth am I doing?" but at the same time, the show was so captivating: well written, beautifully animated, the humor was surprisingly good and the voice acting was top-notch - simply beautiful.

 

The episode ended, the credits rolled and I was shocked; I just watched an entire episode of My Little Pony but I was liking it - it was a really, really good show! So I went back to watch the pilot and from there it went on and on, an entire night to be honest. I caught up with all the episodes that was available and I noticed that the time was 4 in the morning and I had to attend school the same day -- I told everyone that day that I couldn't fall asleep, nobody should ever know I was watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic; until the day my brother busted me in browsing Equestria Daily and told everyone that I liked ponies, but it was all cool. Got a few remarks here and there, but I took those remarks all with a grain of salt or simply just ignored them because I was a brony now! /)*(\

 

So there you have it people, there's my story and here I am today, wearing my Derpy t-shirt with a smile.
