Am I the Only One Who Doesn't Like Scootaloo?

I maintain that Scootaloo would have been a better character if she had been made a male. Although that would make things akward when it comes time for a musical. I love Scootaloo and the fact that she idolizes Rainbow Dash isn't really what gets to me because (we've all been there at least one time). I think the fact her story isn't entirely known was intentional. I can see that if Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo had been made sisters it wouldn't give Rainbow Dash the "Freedom" she needs. Although I don't think Applejack and Rarity have this problem.   I think the scooter, the helmet, the invisible 2 stroke engine on the scooter (and her "Rainbow Dash" personality )  all combined make Scootaloo pretty awesome.

I just find Scootaloo plain annoying, and I hate how she made her friends work till late in the episode 'Flight to the finish,' for her own selfish reasons that she couldn't fly.

To be fair, that was right after Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon ruthlessly teased her about it. Even if we were to assume that she was just a late bloomer flight-wise as opposed to having an actual disability (the episode's dialogue actively avoided answering that question), it's understandable that she might be particularly sensitive about that. Perhaps if Apple Bloom had thought to tell Scootaloo about the time she tried hang gliding, things might have turned out differently.

Then again, there's also the sea pony part of "Surf and/or Turf", where she's underwater and thinking "So this is what it must be like to fly!", and it forms a large part of her bias towards Seaquestria over Mt. Aris. In essence, her yearning to fly had consumed her to the point where it was interfering with her CMC duties - not a great role model for people with disabilities, if that's what she was supposed to be.

Speaking of which, the one thing about her I dislike is how the series handled her wing situation, but that has pretty much nothing to do with her as a character.

Scootaloo to me is quite an interesting character and I've always liked her while i would never go as far to say she's my favourite she isn't awful either she's had some amazing character moments.

Nope, I never really liked the CMC anyway.

I'm not sure why cuz I don't really think theyre bad characters or anything, they just annoy me for some unknown reason
