Strong watched as the infantry prepared for the coming battle, he had just sent a letter to the appaloosan airforce for back up reinforcements. He walked to the mouth of the cave, looking out toward the Celestian territory, his armor gleamed in the sunlight, his cutiemark painted on his chestplate, to prove to all that he was in fact alive... And waiting...

(Whoopes, apparently you guys are waiting for me)

 

The sun was at it's highest in the sky, signifying the afternoon. The clopping of hooves could be heard, as the infantry troop walked in a random group, all cluttered on a single path. Toothless took point (leading the group), alongside the commanding officer. Drago took the rear, walking alongside Haste.

 

It wasn't long until the average-sized troop made it to the Everfree Forest, the beginning of the Lunar Republic's border. The soldiers hesitated to enter, but after a few sharp orders and insults, they began slowly moving into the forest, the light slowly dimming behind them, until it disapeared from sight completely...

A scout approached Strong Hooves at the mouth of the cave, "Sir, our troops have spotted a group of Celestian troops heading our way, two dragons are accompanying them as well". Strong nodded, "Tell the troops to prepare for attack, and don't worry about the dragons, I have sent word to our elite air squad, the Shadow bolts to take care of them" the soldier nodded and took off to prepare. Strong then Approached Zanthak, "Tell the soldiers to hide when the celestians approach, make it seem we have abandoned the mountain, as soon as the whole group enters, seal all exits, it is time to learn that one can't just insult my being and get away with it". When Zanthak left, he then muttered to himself, "It's great to be alive".

(well those 10 minutes somehow turned into 2 hours xD)

Haste and Draco looked at the troops advancing both of them ready to fight locked gaze on the approaching troops and waited to attack

For many of the soldiers, walking through the Everfree forest was a terrifying experience. Strange howls and sounds could always be heard, but the source never seen. And some of the trees looked like they were ready to gobble up some poor filly if she wasn't on guard. Even Toothless had a sharp dent in his fearlessness, and was very jumpy.

 

"Stay strong troops... we're not too far from Dragon Mountain..." He called out, trying to spark some courage in his troop.

 

Toothless was really beginning to question going around to Dragon Mountain, instead of taking the direct route. But, he knew the direct path would leave them vulnerable to air attacks, and with two dragons and a pegasus, they couldn't afford a head-on-head battle.

 

Toothless then heard another sound, but this time, from his scared-to-death troop. It was a very quiet voice, but Toothless could still make out the words...

 

"When I was... a little filly... and the sun was going doooown..."

 

(xD Yes, I'm trying to get a sing-along.)

Draco looked at both Haste and Toothless and sighed "... the darkness and the shadows they would always make me froooown" he finished smirking at Haste, who just rolled her eyes in a responce

Toothless thought, "Oh, what the heck." and sang, "I'd hide under my pillow... From what I thought I saw..."

 

With a few other ponies joining in, he continued while smirking at Haste, "But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way to deal with fears at aaalll!"

The three of them all syncronized and sang, "She said: Pinkie, you gotta stand up tall! Learn to face your fears!"

 

More ponies joined in as they sang, "You'll see that they can't hurt you! Just laugh to make them disappear!"

 

Toothless then said, "Ha!"

Hail kept to himself,not speaking a single word to the Pegasus at his side. With his failure to capture the mountain during the last air raid removed him as the CO of the fleet.

Shaking his head in disbelief at all the recent events,strong hooves apperence and spareing of hails life,solus growing more power hungry with each fight,and the rumors of snows disappearance and possible sightings began to suggest her being a spy for Luna.

Hail looked over his polished golden platemail with a grim look on his face

 

*I'm not capable of fighting at my fullest..I can't think clearly right and it might be the death of me...maybe strong hooves will be there,fighting him makes me focus on him and not myself...if not cracking a few skulls might suffice untilled then*

Strong readied himself as the scout group came and notified that the Celestian troops were getting close, "Remember, lay low until they enter, when I give the signal, attack with no mercy!" he said as the Lunar troops prepared for battle...

(After the song... xD Oh, and I'll assume Dragon Mountain can be entered like a cave.)

 

The troop had finally exited the Everfree Forest, now standing at the base of Dragon Mountain. Toothless raised an eyebrow, as it was suprisingly quiet... They should have already had contact...

 

"Stay here." He told Haste and Drago as he moved his way to the front of the troop. "Sir?" Toothless questioned the officer, unsure of what to do.

 

"We advance foward. No backing down."

 

Toothless was really beginning to hate this idea... but complied anyways.

 

The officer commanded, "Drago, you guard the back of the troops, Toothless, the lead. Everypony else stay in the middle. Unicorns, provide us light once we're inside. Let's break these Lunar scum!"

 

While they were entering the mountain, Toothless couldn't help but feel that this was all a trap...

Strong watched the troops enter from his hiding spot, just behind the overhang that stood at the center of the area. As soon as Drago walked in, a field of shadow energy sealed the exits, amongst the confusion, Strong stood from his hiding place, looking over the Celestian squad, "Soldiers of the Celestian empire!!! Look upon me and see that your rumors are true! I! Strong Hooves still live to fight, and we shall make an example of YOU!" as he said this, the other Lunar soldiers stood, surrounding the Celestians, with a mighty war cry, Strong Hooves commanded... "ATTACK!!!"

God damn it...

 

They were surrounded, Lunar troops everywhere. And as much as Toothless wanted to shoot a fireball at Strong Hooves, he had to protect the troop. Toothless turned to the side, using his body as a shield against the Lunar troops. He emmitted a low growl and revealed his sharp teeth at the troops, showing that he was indeed a threat to be wary of.

 

"You're going to regret this, Strong Hooves..." Toothless growled, shortly before Strong Hooves gave the order to attack.

All of the troops SH had ordered to attack were now heading straight for the Celestian troops. Zanthak walked out and looked at Solus. He was very angry. It could possibly be Strong's anger passed on to him! He suddenly morphed into a giant shadow avatar, which looked like a very large hawk with legs and a giant black sword with a large sapphire on the hilt. It was about 10 feet tall. Very large though. Then he said in a strangely deep voice to Strong Hooves, "What shall I do to them?".

Strong Hooves watched as Haste flew toward him, not being his prime target, he dodged to the side, gripping her wing and sending her hurling toward the ground. He looked to Zanthak, "Make them regret coming here! But leave Solus for me! He saw who he was after, looking at Solus as he began to fight, This time, no interruptions!, he jumped from his place on the overhang, as he landed, the armored cleeted battle horseshoes cracked the stone under him, he then chared Solus, all anger and strength as he let out a battle cry...

Draco watched as Haste landed in the floor and stood and returned towards Strong, he flew towards him to help Haste

Zanthak understood what was to be done, and ran towards a battalion of Solar ponies. He started creating shadow troops himself, but they were in daylight, so they only lasted around 3 minutes. He jumped into the battle himself and started slashing the ponies furiously.

They attacked from everywhere, bucking and kicking the outnumbered Solar troops. But Toothless fought well, headbutting and slashing anypony who dared to attack. One pony rushed in quickly, but was quickly struck with Toothless's agile tail, sending the pony through the air and slamming him into the wall.

 

Zanthak caught Toothless's vision, where he saw him morph into a horrifying and extremely deadly creature. He soon hopped down toward the battalion of Solar troops, charging them with anger flaming in his eyes. He slashed a soldier in the chest, spraying red liquid onto the floor.

 

Taking a battle stance while Zanthak was distracted, he inhaled and fired his trademark blue-hot fireball, accurately aimed right at Zanthak.

 

He then quickly checked his surroundings, when he noticed Haste and Drago were gone... AGAIN. He knew they both went after Strong Hooves, yet he didn't go after them. His only thought was...

 

"Good luck you two..."

Solus made his way through the crowds of clashing soldiers,spotting strong hooves he gave his battle cry and set charge.

 

Solus "strong hooves,today the light of celestia's justice shines strong and you will fall in her glorious name!"

 

The mass of celestial's soldiers shouted in a boost of moral.putting up a harder struggle against Luna's forces,making their push that much more effective.
