To protect their trademark, that have to put a stop to major fan products. This may seem like a terrible thing but we're talking about the company who bought the rights to the show. If Hasbro never purchased the rights to My Little Pony, we wouldn't be discussing matters involved.

No one is going to boycott products to get hasbro's attention. Hasbro is protecting their trademark. They have a right to do so. Making a million topics isn't going to help. At all.
