Star Rain paused to gather her thoughts. She had a stuttering problem that made it difficult for her to speak at times. "Well... Perhaps try and replace the nightmare by thinking of something happy and try to dream up a euphoric place or memory?" she said, speaking steadily.

 

"That is exactly correct. Magic is powerful, but can be over come or countered with enough willpower." Harmonic said. He had a sparkle in his eyes, he was passionate about his lectures.

 

"That will be all for today's class. I will expect you all to read Chapter 3 by tomorrow." Harmonic said, as he sat at his desk.

 

Then he looked at Star Rain and Duine. "I want you two to stay after class, we need to talk. You're not in trouble, don't worry."

Grabbing my books, putting them in my bag.

Walking out of the classroom, searching for another classroom to go to.

Feeling a little scared because, it looks dark in the hallway.

He smiled softly."alright". he took out his pen and readied to start taking notes from the princess of the night. He never heard of these types of plants before nor read about them which put him in a slight state of panic but he kept it will hidden. He tried to relax some around the princess.

 

Princess Luna walked over to a nearby flower. "See here, this is the Moon Flower, scientifically known as the Ipomoea. They only bloom during the night, and as soon as sunlight touches their petals, they close up. It's the most common here in the garden. 

 

Starbright nodded, and hopped out of  her chair. Grabbing her books, she headed out the door. "Lets see, I have Nature next. Great!" She said, and made her way down the stairs.

But he began to wonder why him? what did he do to end up with Luna as his substitute Teacher? sure this class needed a Teacher but she could of chose any other class but she chose this class. Midnight looked at the flower and made sure he had written everything down about it.

Luna patiently waited for the student to finish writing, looking up at her night sky. 'Class should be over soon.' She thought to herself. After being around for so long, despite her 1000 year absence, she had taken the time to memorize the times of the night sky. She looked down at the student after a few seconds. "It is not known why this plant only blooms in the night, however. Most night plants live short lives from the lack of nutrients from the sun, which the moon cannot provide. I believe that is it for now, you are free to go to your next class. Hopefully by then we will have a proper teacher."

Star Rain beamed as she wrote her own words down in her notebook, as well as the additional information about magic and willpower. The dream spell can be countered by euphoric memories and dreams of bliss. Though magic is a powerful force, it can be dispelled by high levels of willpower. She levitated her agenda out of her saddlebags and wrote Read Chapter 3 in it. She packed up her notebook and agenda and was ready to leave when all a sudden she was told to stay in class. "Huh? What is it?" she asked, fear flickering in her eyes.

Draco  watched Luna teach the younger stallion. "If I may Luna," Draco said speaking up. "You're forgetting the Moon flower's other properties. The property to heal for instance if ground into a fine power. Buut it left me seeing purple griffin's for acouple weeks," he said scratching the baack of his head gentlely. He was just a teachers aid after all.

Currently, the Grade 2s have Potion-Making, which is on the 2nd floor with Lucky Splash." Another blue flash, and the parchment was gone. "I bid you good luck, Midnight." She said.

"Well, I have some time." He says, he walks out into the halls. He walks through, looking for Luna's office. He needed to see her about his next lesson, as it delves into some controversial things in the empire, like Necromancy, Conjuration, and other dark arts.

 

He looks around until finally he finds Luna's office.

 

Luna nodded. "Well Midnight, just wait one moment." Then her horn lit up, and a bright blue flash appeared in front of her, revealing a parchment which she lifted. "Let's see... Currently, the Grade 2s have Potion-Making, which is on the 2nd floor with Lucky Splash." Another blue flash, and the parchment was gone. "I bid you good luck, Midnight." She said.

Harmonic looks at her. He looks like he is about to say something. But quickly stops himself from speaking. He cannot find the words to describe what he is trying to say to her. Instead, he only gulps, and then clears his throat to speak.

Star Rain tilted her head in wonder, then turned to leave the classroom. "Well... that was weird... What was that all about?" the thought stayed with her until she reached the next class on the list, nature. She stopped for a moment when she saw an allicorn outside of the classroom. Her eyes widened when she realized who the allicorn was. Not very familiar with manners, she just stood there looking at Princess Luna until she realized that she needed to get to class. She stepped into the garden and took a seat. She took her notebook and quill out and drew some pictures until class began.

Harmonic opened the door, and saw Luna herself sitting at her desk.

 

"Your highness, I request your guidance. I was thinking of teaching Necromancy, however, I understand that it is a highly controversial topic right now, especially with recent events. What should I do?" Harmonic asks. He has always been the straight forward type.

Your knowledge may provide helpfulness in this. What say you, Harmonic?"

Harmonic sits there for a minute in contemplation. He has many things to consider, but decides the help would be useful.

 

"Well...I could use the help, it is quite the difficult topic. Besides, I'd prefer another staff member to help with the demonstrations than a student, since Necromancy IS one of the more dangerous schools of magic." He says, looking to Luna and Draco.

"Haha, very funny Draco. I was thinking more along the lines of bringing in a dead body and showing the proper way to set up a resurrection. Considering ideology, I may settle for a fake one and simply demonstrate the proper procedure." Harmonic says, his face showing that he is deep in thought.

Princess Luna nodded, unfolding her wings. "Yes, I shall get to that." She said, and leaped out the window, soaring across the castle grounds until she landed yet again in the gardens. Alas, there was a young filly there, nervously looking around, and quite looking tired. "Good evening, young filly. What is your name?" Luna asked as she landed on the ground. The filly yelped, clumsily bowed, and did not move.

"Rise, child. I am to be treated as Ms. Luna, the substitute Nature teacher. I asked you your name?"

"S-Starbright Pr- Ms. Luna." She stuttered.

"Starbright." Luna repeated. "Shall we get to work?" The filly nodded, opening her notes

Wow... the princess is substituting?! Whatever happened to the teacher who was SUPPOSED to be teaching? Star Rain thought with great surprise. She had been silently eavesdropping while drawing in her notebook. She then gazed around the room until her eyes landed on a beautiful white flower. That's a moonflower. It only opens its petals in the night, I heard. Doesn't it also make you hallucinate?
