"I know Flare wouldn't do that im not stupid" Octavia said glaring at Moonsparkle who trying to frame Flare. "Anyways what have you been doing while the teacher was out" Octavia asked. "Well me and Milly were going to do a song together untill you came in" Flare said as he grabbed a guitar. "Go ahead i wanna hear all of your musical talents" Octavia said

 

After Flare did his solo in front of the class, Symphonia got up and went to the refurbished piano, He sat down on the stool and opened the sheet music to a random song. The song was Gypsy Bard which was in fact one of his favorites.

 

His hands went into position and played the smooth melody.

 

"So what'd you guys think?" Saying proudly to the small audience.

"Very good what you name" Octavia asked hearing Symphonia play. "Yeah that was really good" Flare said as he strummed the guitar trying tothink till he asked, "Any requests" Flare asked everyone in the room. "So you learned to play Guitar Flare" Octavia said amused that he learned more instruments.

Symphonia says to Octavia "Um... my name is Symphonia. I'm new here and playing the piano is my special talent."

 

He walks back to his seat in the corner still trying to stay away from everypony else. As flare begins to speak, he immediately tunes out and starts to study his music again.

"ah yes Symphonia one of Concertos greatest students" Octavia said as she watched Symphonia play. "Concerto taught you well apparently...that's good" Octavia said as she grabbed a cello. "You dont mind if i play a song with you do you Symphonia" Octavia said

Symphonia was irritated at this comment "Actually YES I DO!!!" He stormed out of the class room.

 

Stupid.Stupid. Stupid. I'm always compared to my father in some way. He didn't teach me, I taught myself. "UrHG" No one can get that through their thick skulls. His thoughts continued to be filled with anger as he continued on his self-explosive rampage.

Flare watched Symphonia storm off. "Octavia he taught himself he told me" Flare said as he hated seeing people angry or sad. "Oh...But he plays just like Concerto" Octavia as he started to leave. "Anyways i got to go someone else will be here in a while im sorry i couldnt stay long" Octavia said as she left the classroom.

Symphonia did not come to school for the next few days. He just stayed at home and did absolutely nothing. He didn't even practice playing his instrument or even look at it for that matter.

 

After he cooled off from his bout of rage he made his way to the class early that morning and was the first to show up. The teacher wasn't there either.

Flare came to class with his own guitar this time and saw Symphonia. "Hey Symphonia" Flare said as he walked twords the piano."You been gone for a while I was started to wonder if you were even coming to class anymore" Flare said as he unpacked his guitar and tuned it a bit. "Hopefully Me and Milly can play a song together this time" Flare said as he never had a chance to play a song with her.

"Ya hopefully." He said back to Flare who sat down in a chair closest to the piano.

 

Symphonia hit a chord and continued again." So, did the teacher ever show up and what has the class gone over thus far." Symphonia gave the the question with a serious voice.

"No other Teacher has appeared yesterday Octavia said Lyra was gonna be here today" Flare said as he strummed the guitar more. "Anyways I know why you stormed off...and i can't blame you" Flare said as he remembered Symphonia storming off. "Ok so im gonna just wait for Milly...hopefully she get here soon" Flare said as he strummed a song.

Lyra was the next to come in. "Hello class." she said only staring at flare and Symphonia. "Um...is this it, or are we missing a few students?" 

 

"We have 3 others to wait for." Symphonia said calmly "Are you going to be our teacher permanently?" He asked. 

Before she could answer he piped in again " We haven't had a actual teacher here for the past few days other than Octavia, who was only her on a visit."

 

Lyra answered while lifting her instrument out of its case."Yes. Yes I am."

"AWESOME" Flare yelled the covered his mouth. "Anyways its great to have you as a teacher Lyra...you do remember me right...form Manehattan" Flare said hoping he remembers him and Milly get here soon and hes still hoping Moonsparkle doesn't come by again and messes up the instruments again.

"Oh my gosh i'm so late! so sorry Flare..and everypony else and tea-" Milly begins to say then noticed Lyra "OH MY GOSH Y-" Milly calms her self "Ehm" Milly clears her throat "Your Lyra! your teaching us today?" Milly said excitedly "Oh hey Fare and um..Symphonia right? sorry i'm not to good with names! i see Moon isn't here...thank gosh maybe no instruments will be broken today!" By the way, sorry about how yesterday how i wasn't really talking"

MoonSparkle walked in drunk, she walked straight into the door before contuing to ram it until it opened, "well hey all, Moon's in the house" she exclaimed looking around, she walked into a guitar knocking it over and then looked around wondering where to sit, being drunk the obvious choice was the piano  she started to climb it before sitting on the top, she picked up a drumstick before banging it against the top of the piano mistakining it for a drum 

 

"this drums needs re-tuning" she said before throwing the drumstick at Milly, "Sit down and dont annoy me today milly ive had enough of your bull" she shouted glaring at milly from her position on the piano

"Oh god shes drunk now" Flare said as he went up to moon sparkle and dragged her away from the piano. "No your just gonna sit in a chair today" Flare said. "Im sorry Lyra she likes to act 'odd' at times but shes normal...sometimes" Flare said as he placed Moonsparkle in a chair. "We are not using inrtuments today Moonsparkle so why dont you go home.

Lyra got her instrument into position and strumme the string of the lyre. A beautiful melody filled the air, and the whole class was astonished by the graceful sounds.

 

SHe then stopped and set the instrument down, and pulled out a notebook, ink, and a quill. "Now that you haven heard me play, I would like to here you."

 

Her thirst for knowledge never ceased. She wanted to hear each student in her class play individually, so she can interpret their strenghts, weaknesses, and skills with a instrument.

"I will go first" Flare said as he started to play 'into the night' By santana. "i hope you think i play good Lyra" Flare said as he started singing the main verse of the song. After he finished the song and looked at Lyra. "So what do you think Lyra" Flare said hoping he did well even though he screwed up now and then.

The crying pony looked up. Somepony had asked her something, but then forgotten about her. Sevreal ponies had begun to shout at each other, and one or two stormed out of the room. The pony wiped her tears of her face and began to tap quietly on her leg. He ADHD distracted her from too much.

Lyra answered back to Flare "Your singing  and playing is great for your age! But I do see some minor flaws, but that can be fixed easily with some practice."

 

She then looked over at the drunk MoonSparkle and was horrified at what she saw. She was dancing in the corner with a tuba that was twice her height.

"Yeha dont mind Moonsparkle she is just a odd one here" Flare said as he saw the pony he tried to talk to before and walked over to her. "Hey my name is Flare whats your name" Flare said trying to be a polite as posible to the pony tha was just crying over in the corner.

MoonSParkle glared at him im not drunk and your all playing your so full of shit" she growled before walking into the piano and leaving a hole the size of her horn in its back, "stupid pony watch where your going" she yelled at the piano before walking towards Flare, "hey you want to marry me, your rather cute and i kind of like your red colour" she grinned

"MOONSPARKLE" Flare yelled. "You are drunk...maybe you should head home now" Flare said as he slowly pushed Moonsparkle out of the classroom then closed the doors behind her. "There until shes sober...shes staying out there...sorry about that again Lyra i dont know what got into her"

"Well we are just a mixed up bunch of ponies!" Milly said jokingly "Well anyways, Flare you did a great job!" Milly said smiling "Its finally feeling like a school here!" Milly said jokingly. Milly walks  over to the crying pony "Do you want to play something...are you alright?"

"Thank you Milly" Flare said. "Now what is you name miss" Flare said as he looked at her and noticed the rhythmic tapping she was doing. "Do you play the drums if i might ask" Flare asked as he lightly strummed along with mares tapping that she was doing making a nice melody.

Lyra had disregarded this incident and told Flare "Don't worry about it, as long as this was a one time thing and it doesn't happen frequently. MoonSparkle apparently needs some type of supervision at home and isn't getting any. This is probably the reason for her actions today."

 

Symphonia agreed. "Hey Lyra could I play next?" he asked politely and in a serious tone."

 

"Sure...um whats your name again?" She asked 

 

"Its Symphonia." He began to play the grand piano. It was a song that he had just learned, and it was Firefly by Owl City. Once he was done he sat back in his seat and did not ask any questions about his performance.
