I'm a Hong Kong native from birth and at heart and a mild fan of MLP (never watched a full episode though love the characters and writing)... but here is where things will get a little disturbing. I have made- or, more honestly, been compelled to make- an account on the MLP forums in order to discuss personal problems that I have been having in relation to non-canon material. This and my confession right now may be drastic, but my hand has been forced by the severity of my turmoil. However, I am not able to post directly to the 'Personal advice' section of the forums due to the '40 post' rule. While I understand its necessity, this is a tall order for me due to my reserved nature and the fact that I know next to nothing about the general storyline. Thus, I humbly request any advice you can give me regarding discussion of personal issues. Thank you for your understanding attention, and I hope I can resolve my conflicts here and soothe my inner discord. Most of the threads, in fact, probably have nothing to do with it. Just use that dandy little search bar up there to find anything that might interest you so you can get your post count up. Once you do, know when you post that all of us here will always be understanding about anything you need personal advice about. Anyways, welcome to the forums! I hope you enjoy your stay! The admins placed that limit there to prevent random trolls from butting into other people's personal business, and to prevent outside guests from peeking in as well. There's more than one way to ask for life advice, though; you can make a blog entry about it, a status update, or if you're really desperate, maybe a thread in General Discussion would be good. About that 40 post thingy - you can get the posts you need by just sticking around Everfree Forrest section. Stuff disussed there has generally nothing to do with ponies. Sugarcube corner is good too - it's intended for discussion of the fandom, not the show itself. In fact, you can even find some topics in show discussion that require no knowledge of the storyline - stuff like which pony is the prettiest, etc. Hope you'll get your posts up soon and get help with your problems It is crucial that they trust you. EDIT : A little extra tip about the posts - this section counts too. By the way, good luck with your writing! How did you know? Well, kinda correct. I put a ridiculously high standard for arts. Musics, drawings, and especially writings. Ohoho. Of course you can PM me anytime. Don't worry about bothering me. I always time to chat with people no matter how busy I am. I'm always interested in Chinese. From history, culture, philosophy, etc. I adore Buddhism even though I'm not Buddhis. A good teaching of mercy and love. I learn it too. Some Chinese songs I've ever heard have poetic lyrics. I love that. I like your martial art as well. They're very systematic. P.S.
