Gone for good 1,593 March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 (edited) So yeah, here's an interesting form of therapy for you guys. Instead of giving you drugs, putting you into hypnosis, or that one really weird form of therapy where they deliver a shock through your body which somehow also cures depression, they do something actually kind of fun. Here they put you in a disco themed room. It sounds kind of goofy, but after I thought about and read a bit of the article it actually has quite a bit of benefits to it. Here's a little quote stolen from the article: “I feel like I’m in heaven,” said Dora Zalcberg, 89, who was just 16 in 1939 when she was snatched from her home in Bedzin, Poland, and taken to the Parschnitz concentration camp, where she was spared the gas chamber only because she was a skilled machinist. “This makes me forget all my problems and what I went through,” Zalcberg said I dunno, what do you guys think of this? I think it's a pretty good idea, and unlike drugs and what not the worst thing that can happen here is a waste of time. link right here http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/brooklyn/stayin_alive_well_1GbCsVwS2U5o6liw6dU9OM Edited March 10, 2013 by Lord Bababa 1 Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. JeanHover 326 March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 Well, disco parties are awesome, so I'm nobody to say that it's fake. I mean, why didn't they try this before? If anything, a disco is definitely the one thing that will get bad memories our of a person's head. It's cool stuff, I'm glad they made this. IceStorm 7 March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 erm i tend not to think about this, its makes me depressed well a fact for you, the gas they made for the chambers was originally created for the 1st manmade fertilizer which saved the lives of over 4 million people from starvation the downside is it was used as mustard gas and other toxic gases like chloride gas to kill thousands of people the best intentions are often the worse
Pony Joe 583 March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 (edited) The fact that we live in a world where "disco therapy" is a real thing is amazing. And if it's really helping people, even more so! But seriously, just think about that for a second: disco therapy. A hundred years ago we would have put PTSD victims in mental quarantine, but now we've advanced to disco. What's next? My money's on roller coaster therapy. "And how did that roller coaster make you feel?" "Bucking amazing, let's do it again." Edited March 10, 2013 by Pony Joe 4 That's really all there is to say on the matter.
moneyshredderofdeath 414 March 11, 2013 Share March 11, 2013 It certainly is interesting. Attempting anything lighthearted to take away from traumatizing memories is worthwhile in my view, especially if it achieves its intents.

My money's on roller coaster therapy. "And how did that roller coaster make you feel?" "Bucking amazing, let's do it again." I'm scared of heights so I'm not quiet sure I'd ever want to have Roller coaster therapy, but a cool idea Xd. Oh and Disco Party theory? That sounds like the best freaking form of therapy ever! Seriously thats so awesome Xd. Maybe I should specially go get that therapy just for the heck of it . Just kidding, as awesome as it is I'm not abusing that anyways. But it really sounds pretty awesome, and if it works well even better! I mean it doesn't have any harmful side affects like drugs or other things might, and it seems pretty simple, and plus sounds like fun! . Only thing that could make it better is Pinkie, Or maybe have vinyl be the DJ ? Ahem wishful thinking over.. Anyways, this has got to be one of the coolest and yet most amazing pieces of news I've heard about in a while Xd. Its good to know we have some people who think outside of the box working on cures for things . Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig!
