I have seen many a request for help in creating art and music and such from some ponies out here on the MLP Forums, so I thought it may be a good idea to create a sub forum just for collaboration requests and such

Well, sounds like a very good idea. Some people need proof-readers, musicians, visual artists, etc for their project, but I don't think making a new section is the most efficient way. Just like Azura said, a lot of ponies already posted request threads in the Creative Resources Sub-Section.

 

My idea is to make a kind of tittle tag like [Collaboration] then put the title like "Need a musician" thingy. Like in Role Play world or somewhere in the forum. I've seen this kind of tags here before.

 

I think why there are not many collaboration thread in the Octavia Hall is because people rarely post "Help available" kind of threads, so they hesitate if making a collaboration is a good idea.

 

I hope it can work somehow. I want to collaborate with somepony in writing since I'm too busy to write my own all by myself.

Not a bad idea! I don't know if the mods will do this, especially because they only make sub-forums if a place is swamped with something.

Anyways, it might happen. Good luck with convincing the mods.

Just as an FYI, it's the admins who decide what sections to add, not the moderators.

 

Three overarching "types" of content exist in Creative Resources at this time: request threads, collabs, and written resources such as tutorials and advice. My impression is that, of these, requests are by far the most plentiful, so it might make more sense to split those out rather than collabs.

 

Prefixes could definitely be added to CR, either way, to better separate what's in there already.
