Episodes that used to be loved

So recently I've noticed something about pony fans from most sites.

They're starting to hate on all the episodes except S1. A good example is the wedding episodes. I remember back when the royal wedding happened, everypony loved it. People were saying how much they liked the songs, the characters, the plot, etc. But recently, people are saying they hated the wedding, it brought too many alicorns, the songs sucked, the plot was stupid, etc.

It's also happening to all the S3 episodes, but that's understandable, with some of the episodes being rushed. 

 

So my question is, why?

What's happened to the pony community that's caused everyone to rag on the episodes? Is it Faust not being part of S2 and 3 (which seems to be what a lot of people bring up), or has the community started to have what I'm gonna call the "Spongebob effect."

What that basically means is, after a few seasons, the fans start to hate it, and say the newer episodes suck, and not really give good reasoning. When the most likely cause is, nostalgia, and growing out of stuff. So have MLP fans "out grown" the series?

Actually, the exact opposite is what happened. Everyone says things like "Season 2 was the best" and "Season 1 was too girly" and "Season 3 was rushed". Season 2 receives the most love in the fandom, at least from my personal experience. And with good reason, Season 2 was great. I hope Season 4 is more like it than it is like season 1 or 3.

I'm sure there are plenty of bronies who still like S2. The ones who don't may be more vocal about it, or maybe you're only paying attention to one side.

 

I still don't see a lot of people hating on Lesson Zero, but appearantly, when it first came out, it made a lot of bronies angry for some reason. Maybe those angry bronies left the fandom.

Anyways, on all the polls here I've seen I'd say Season 2 is the most loved. I'd say it's a pretty accurate representation considering the fact that this forum has over 10,000 users.

Wasn't there a poll on EQD recently about favorite seasons? I'm pretty sure season 2 had the most votes on it. Some people probably just prefer the first season rather than the others because of them having joined the fandom during season 1, rather than the others.

Well I don't know about you, but I loved season 2.

Season 1 is great and so is season 3. I have nothing against them, but for some reason I find myself coming back to season 2 as my favorite.

 

I do have favorite episodeds in season 1 and 3. So there is proof that I like those two seasons as well.

There was a poll on EqD on what was your favorite season, and S2 got the most votes, while S1 got the least.  You probably just happened to run into an uncanny amount of Season&3 haters.

Season 2 is easily my favorite and I think the most popular of the three. Its scripts had a good balance between the adventurous innocence of Season 1 and the brony awareness that became a little too obvious in Season 3. I hope Season 4 goes back to that.

 

But if you're looking for anyone to argue that Lesson Zero was actually a poor episode, I volunteer. xD

In my opinion, Season 2 to me is my favorite season. Season 1 was the season that helped me become a brony in the first place, Season 3 holds up to it's well a few flaws. I hope for Season 4 to have most of the stuff that I want.

 

An episode that I think that I used to love was basically, Magical Mystery Cure. After about 10 minutes of watching it.

I only really enjoyed Season's 1 and 2.

 

I loved Season 1 so much, my favorite, where friendship was magic, and they solved problems as friends, really how can you hate this season?

 

Season 2 was so awesome, the way the experimented with testing the Mane 6 against their elements, all those episodes, they where awesome, and went more in depth to the characters.

 

I dislike Season 3, not all the episodes, but none where anywhere near my top 5 favorites, or even my top 10 for that matter.
