My Lyra cosplay's almost done!

I haven't dyed the wig just yet, but here's what the cosplay looks like so far:

 

 

 

I'm planning on dyeing the wig tomorrow afternoon, and the cosplay should be ready in time for Anaheim's WonderCon this weekend (I'll only be attend on Saturday though).

 

If anypony's got any quick tips on how to dye a wig (since this is my first time doing so), then please let me know before I get started.

I don't know anything about wigs and such, so I might be completely wrong here.  However...you might be able to get away with just using food coloring.

tbh, its awesome, though its more like Lyra's R #63 version 'Guyra' more than Lyra. still, a clever job indeed. cant help out with the wig though :\

That's a pretty dapper Guyra!  I'm pretty jealous of the minty suit! 

 

As for coloring a wig I don't know for sure, but you might try that spray hair color stuff.  it isn't permanent in real hair, but you don't wash a wig everyday.

That sure is a good looking suit. Did you make that yourself or find the pieces at a thrift store? Those are often good places for cosplayers who don't have Rarity's talent.

Actually, I bought most of the items I needed from JCPenney, though I might have to drop by the nearest thrift shop tomorrow morning and find a pair of white shoes.

 

I finished dyeing the wig this morning, so the cosplay is pretty much complete by this point. I'll be submitting a picture of the just-about-finished product on DeviantArt at some point tomorrow.
