Hello everyone

Sir Cal Stonehoof

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Caledonian, but you can call me Cal, if it's easier. I just want a place to talk about the show with other fans. It's something I just don't have that where I am at right now. So I am looking forward to exploring the community, and possibly making some new friends.

Best Wishes,

Cal

Sup, Cal.

Everypony here will be more than willing to discuss any, and I mean any aspect of the show with you, I am sure of that.

*Takes a puff on pipe*

And we're all very accepting of all new members, so you'll fit right in with this gaggle of freaks awesome Bronies.

Thank you Rainblow. I can't wait to talk with other ponies about the show, and exchange opinions, and ideas. I don't see the term "freaks" as a bad thing. Normality is boring, and an opinion. It takes all types to make the world work, and Bronies are just another cog to that machine...

Best Wishes,

Yes, I completely agree.

I was just kidding, of course, but what you said is definitely something I subscribe to.

I hope you enjoy the website, my friend!

Best wishes right back ya.

So far I have. This is by far the warmest welcome I have received in a group even in real life.  I knew you were kidding with "freaks" being crossed out by the way. MLP is just one of those things that you have to be a part of to understand. Bronies get that, even if they have a difference of opinions or tastes.

Precisely! I've seen My Little Pony described as sort of a buried treasure; some people watch the show and dig but can't really see what's so special about it. Others, however, are able to find that treasure chest and open it up, revealing something deeper about the show that they love and connect to.

That's one way of describing it.

The way I like to describe it, however, is that My Little Pony is freaking awesome, end of story... but uh, not everyone has to like it of course!

And I'm glad that you feel so welcomed! That's what we do best here on these wonderful forums.

Yeah I think I will cherish My Little Pony for a long time. I love the music, and the stories. It just makes me feel better..I guess is the best way I can describe it. I don't really care if people don't get it. It's something special to me, and I like knowing I'm not alone with that feeling.

I completely agree with you on this point too. I never thought I'd be saying this before I became a Brony, but I see myself loving this show and all of its characters for a long time, perhaps even after I've moved on from taking part in the fandom. It's just such an awesome show with an awesome fanbase that just seem to get each other, despite our differences in opinion from time to time. And even when we don't agree on things, we can all agree on at least one thing:

Ponies are awesome.

Hope you enjoy it here and I hope to chat with you about all things brony smile.png

That was so cute! I love it! laugh.png Thank you so very much. I love Pinkie's songs, and her randomness. Her innocence makes her so adorable, even though she may come off as naive. Pinkie Pie is just too cute. Thank you again.

Of course my friend! I love helping the ponyfolk get accustomed to the forums, even if I am relatively new as well. wink.png

Thank you Darrin. My favorite ponies are Fluttershy (because her reserved, and quiet nature is similar to my own), and Pinkie Pie (because her energy, and happiness is just contagious). I feel every pony needs love, and appreciation, so no hatin' here. Nice to meet you.

Fluttershy, wow. That brings back memories of my ex. Her favorite pony was Fluttershy. She was a sweet girl. <3 She worked with horses a lot in her early teens, so it's it easy to see why she loved MLP.

And thank you for the lacking in hatred. Let's have some sandwiches.

Caledonian? So... Are you Scottish? Becuase... well... That is where Cadalonia is located...

No, I'm an American. But my family line does come from Ireland, and Scotland. I can't wait to visit Scotland one day, and see a part of my heritage...and hopefully find other branches of my family tree.

Ah. I'm an eighth Irish myself, with a whole bunch of other stuff, including Polish, on my Mom's side. My Dad's side is a lot simpler- been in the U.S. for generations. Personally, I'd like to visit Tywyn, in Wales. That's where the Talyllyn Railway is. *Imitates train whistle*

Nice. Yeah my heritage is interesting as well. Not only do I have touches of Scottish, Irish, and English in me on my dad's side, but I also have German and Bohemian (Czech) as well from my mom's side. So it will be an interesting adventure if I get the chance to explore Europe.
