Yavolin shoot a look at Discord, he wanted to punch him so badly. Yavolin even wanted to kill him for what he had done to his mother, his longing for a father caused Yavolin to go to great links to get what he always wanted. But that was soon changed when  his own mother passed away and he was left in the care of his step father."I want to know why you left her and i want to know the truth

Discord turned the corners of his mouth up in a smile.  He stayed quiet.

"Ow!" Discord cried. 

He turned to glare at Princess Celestia.  Princess Celestia raised her eyebrows at him and then looked at Yavolin.  "Next time just hit him," she said, walking off.

"You're a wonderful Princess," Discord growled under his breathe.

Shade flew off the rooftops and headed for the everfree forest, she wanted to go to the castle that was in there and maybe she would find something to do with the element of chaos, perhaps some writing on the wall or something... Maybe there was a reason that her element was forgotten.

 

As she walked, she felt that midnight was close by. She walked and saw him and Luna on the ground. She starred for a second and then, "you know... It's easy to just pick him up and take him back to the castle..." She said.

Yavolin looked at Discord."Now without any futher interruptions from celestia, i want to know why you left my mother? answer honestly or i sware i shall kill you were you stand". Yavolin showed a blow dart that he had in his pocket, and quickly hide it once again.

Luna looked up when Shade spoke.  She smiled up at her.  "Yes.  But its very nice out here at this time of night."

Then, hearing the voices, Midnight rolled over onto his back and opened his eyes.  He saw Shade and immediately hopped up.  "Hi, hi, hi!" he said, bouncing up and down, smiling at his old teacher and friend.

Celestia raised an eyebrow as Yavolin threatened to kill Discord.  Again.  "Wait a minute, Yavolin do---"

"Did he not tell you to shut up," Discord said, pushing his paw in her face and shoving her away.  Celestia growled under her breathe and walked away as if she didn't care if Yavolin killed him anymore.  She did.  But Discord was smart enough to know how to dodge.

Discord smirked at Yavolin.  "I love how you produce those little weapons of yours all the time.  Its so chaotic, don't you think?"

But he was thinking about something else.  About Yavolin's mother.  Of course, he'd never admit that to the rude creature before him.

Princess Cadence paused.  So Shining Armor spoke.

"What is that supposed to mean?!  We aren't going anywhere!" he growled.

You can't tell the future foal. 

Shining turned to Cadence.  "You have to go get Celestia, or some pony to help us.  I'll stay here to protect the kingdom from him."

Princess Cadence shook her head immediately.  "Never!  I'll stand by your side always!  We will protect the kingdom together!" she smiled, taking his hooves and nudging her.  Shining Armor nudged her back.

Funny how love saved you once, but now it will be the reason for your fall...

Yavolin face hoofed himself."fine lets do it the hard way then".  Yavolin blew the blow dart which had truth serum in it, he hoped that Discord would now at tell him what he wanted to know with out avoiding his line of questions at least for a few hours or so.

"Yes, anyways... I need you to do me a favor, I need you to check on my dreams, they don't seem to be normal, Iv finally put the past behind me, but I still dream about it, and... Well, it's like a nightmare... I can't get it out of my head." She said to Luna.

 

When midnight awoke, shade smiled. "Hey! How have you been? And... You've grown... Anyways, I'm gonna go to the crystal empire soon, wanna come with me and get some training in?" She asked.

Discord dodged easily, having expected him to have done so.  Discord wagged a talon at him, smirking.  "Ah, ah, ah!" he smirked.  Then he teleported up behind Yavolin and tried to shove him forward.

"Do you not know who I am?  I won't answer to some pony as rude as you."

"Your dreams?" Luna said.  "Of course Shade.  I know you have been going through a bit lately, and I'll help you in whatever way I can."

Midnight nodded quickly.  "Yes!" he said.  Then he turned to Luna and jumped over to her.  "Can I, Mommy?  Can I?  Can I, can I?"

Luna laughed.  "Yes, Midnight.  You can go."

And then King Sombra appeared from the shadows.  He smirked at the two lovers standing side by side.  Their horns began to glow as they face Sombra.

But Sombra was quick.  The shadows flew in from the darkness and surrounded them.

And when the shadows moved away, they were gone.

Yavolin fell forward and looked at Discord."Alright then if you won't tell me then I'll beat the information out of you". he took out his dagger and looked at his so called father , he hated Discord for everything that has happened to him and the truth was he still wanted him dead.

Discord snickered.  "You're going to what, beat it out of me with a knife?  Maybe you mean stab it out of me," he smirked, placing his talon and claw behind his back and clasping them together in an innocent pose.  "Celestia'll kill you.  And Luna can't do anything about it.  And then there's your Midnight as well.  What will he think?"

"At least he has a father unlike you, you left my mother who was with a foal.YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS LIKE! NOR THE HURT OF SEEING HER DIE BECAUSE OF POOR EXCUSE OF A STALLION". Yavolins eyes began to water as he remembered how his mother died. he threw the knife at a nearby wall.

Shade smiled as midnight jumped up and down, "great! It's been two years since i last saw your stuff, might be time to teach you a new set of abilities... Anyways we'll leave in the morning" she said "as for now... I'm tired... So I'm going back to sleep" she added, she walked to a tree and rested her head. "Maybe you can look at me when I get back from the north..." She said to Luna.

Discord stared down at him as he screamed, clenching his teeth together.  He was no longer very amused by with sorry excuse for a pony.  "Well it was better then just sta---" Discord yelled, then he cut off abruptly.  He clenched his talon and paw into fists and turned away.  He began to walk away from Yavolin before he did something that Celestia would regret.

Midnight nodded and grinned at her.  Luna watched Shade as she rested against a tree.  Luna nodded at her when suddenly she felt a sharp thump at her skull, feeling like it came from the inside.  Luna reached up a hoof to her head, closing her eyes tightly in pain.  She hit her hoof against her head to try and dull the sudden pain.

"Mommy?" Midnight said, looking at her.

"Ah!" Celestia cried, putting her hooves to her head as she felt a thump of pain.  She shook her head back and forth, narrowing her eyes and clenching her teeth together, taking the pain but hoping for it to leave her as soon as it had come to her.

Shade was about to rest her eyes when Luna seemed to have a headache, she got up from the tree, "um... Luna? Are you ok?" She asked her. She walked close to her and sat right beside her, "are you alright?" She asked with a concerned tone. Something wasn't right, shade knew there was something wrong.

Luna whimpered softly and shook her head.  She opened her eyes and removed her hooves from her head.  She looked towards Canterlot.  "Something's wrong," Luna said, standing up.  "Something has happened.  We must go back to Canterlot at once."

Luna helped Midnight onto her back and then looked at Shade.

Yavolin became filled with rage and anger towards his so called father, he just whished there was some pony who can help him. Then it hit him."Sombra" he said softly he knew the shadow king was gone but what of his horn? Yavolin opened up his wings and went to look for it.

Shade looked in the derection of canterlot, then looked back at Luna and noded. Shade felt that there was something wrong but couldent get an idea on what it was, the best thing to do was go back to canterlot, so she followed Luna. "what could be wrong? I can feel it but... Something... Something is returning... And it isn't myself" she thought.

"Celestia!" Discord called out as he moved about the castle, still fuming.

At that exact moment, Celestia stumbled from around a corner and looked up at him.  Her eyes clearly showed her pain as her head throbbed.

"What's with you?" Discord asked.

"What's wrong, Di-Discord?" she whispered.

"I need to hit something."

Celestia took a step back.

"Not you, as much as I'd like to.  What can I hit?"

"I...d-don't know...just...make...s-something?" Celestia sighed.

Discord stared down at her.  "Are you...okay?" he finally asked, despite himself.

"Something's wrong."

Luna flew towards Canterlot with Shade and Midnight.  All the while, her head pounded inside her skull.  It hurt, but Luna pushed on.  Surely this wasn't just a headache.  Celestia must be having a similar problem.

But she hoped not.  That would be a sign of something horrible happening.

Yavolin was flaying away from canterlot to find sombras horn , if that thing gave shade power then it is also capable of turning back time to where Discord was dating his mother. He didn't care what he had to do to get what he needed  but as long as he knew why Discord left her then he was happy.

Following Luna, shade was trying to feel what was wrong, there where a few possibilities that poped up in her mind, queen chrysalice might have returned, but shade made sure that she would half to recover for a long time. Shade knew that discord wouldent go bad again, at least she hoped discord wasnt the problem. maybe the elements of harmony holder have desided to make themselves useful and have come back to the castle... but she knew that wouldent happen. maybe her nightmares had something to do with whats returning.

Discord furrowed his brow as Celestia stumbled past him.  "Wait, what?  What's wrong?" he demanded.

"I...I do-don't know," Celestia whispered.  "Where's Luna?  Isn't she back yet?  Sh-she went looking for Yavolin and Midnight."

"Yavolin was here?"

Celestia spun around to him.  This caused her headache to worsen and she fell forward.  Discord caught her before she fell to the hard floor.  Celestia looked up at him, not questioning his sudden concern.  She was hurting too much and then she was worried about Luna.  "Then where's Luna!" she asked.

"Somewhere."

"Where?!"

"I'm sure she's fine!  Yavolin was fine!  He wouldn't have hurt her!  Calm down, Celestia.  You need to lie down."

"I.  Need.  Luna.  Where is she?"

"I don't know!"

"Find her!"

Luna though, was still on her way.  She flew as fast as she could.  But it would still take her a few minutes to get there.  And those minutes would go by like hours to them both.

And to Discord.  He had to handle the eldest one.  Which was probably worse.

King Sombra smiled to himself as he stepped out onto the balcony and walked straight forward, his head held high.

When a few of the Crystal ponies glanced up to smile at the Princess or Prince, they gasped and dropped what they were doing.  Soon, all the ponies around turned their heads up to where their old king stood.

Like a broken television screen, there were rough flashes.  Then the light from the city seemed to go out.  The ponies lost their sparkle and shine and their colors went dull as they ran in panic.

Yavolin decided to he needed to find shade becasue she was the only one who knew where the horn was so he decided to contact her with telepathy."Shade, i need your help but please don't tell luna or midnight. I need to find sombra's horn can you help me"? he wasn't sure she could hear him in her mind or not he still needed training with his chaotic powers.

Shade could just fly fast or just teleport to canterlot, but she wanted to keep Luna and midnight safe... Just in case. Still quite a ways away, shade could hear yavolin speaking to her, she looks around and then realizes that it was through telepathy. "I may know where it is... But maybe you should start showing me some respect. But since I know that's not going to happen... Why do you need it?" Shade remembers that she had a fragment of sombras horn that she kept to give her more power with shadow magic. But wondered why yavolin needed it.

"You're so demanding!  She'll be here!" Discord growled.

Princess Celestia paused.  She couldn't telepathically speak to Luna at the moment, she was too weak.  And she couldn't go find her by herself.

"Discord..." Celestia whispered, staring up at him from his arms.

"Uhm..."

"Please, Discord..."

"What are you doing?"

"Please..."

Discord dropped her, but moved his tail under her to lighten her fall.  She looked up at him.  Discord slid his tail out from under her and walked away.

"Fine!  Just stop making that stupid voice and looking at me like that!"

Shade was thinking about the horn she had... Or atleast the fragment that she had, and then she had a click in her mind, she just might know what's returning. And because yavolin was asking for the horn, maybe... Was dose yavolin have something to do with it? She didn't know but she looks over at Luna. She goes right up beside her and, "do you want me to take midnight, in case something has happened to canterlot?" She asked.
