I was chatting with Cascade and she said she knew you...I also feel like I have heard your name somewhere." She said, trying to figure out where it was. *Come on Ocean...think of your books. Ancient ruins: A guidebook...chapter eight, the discovery...page 279...There.* She thought. "You're North Arrow...I mean...I already knew that...but you're the one who traveled through the ableazon and fought the pony eating tree's...oh what were they called..."

There it was. North, however, seemed to be not displeased by Ocean's knowledge. 

 

"The Yateveo," North supplied, "And I still want to go back to the Amblezon someday. The Heart still lies in there somewhere. Anyway..." He rubbed behind his head, as if the fact that he had sparred with pony-eating trees was no big deal, almost as if it was embarrassing, and said, "Yeah, Cascade and I go way back. I still can't believe her father made her live in Las Pegasus... Not with those wings of hers."

"I didn't know she lived in Las Pegasus...but I can agree. That would be dreadful, Las Pegasus is close to the ocean...but I couldn't imagine being in a city after living in my cottage. Having a private spot on the water where you can just be free to do what you want is wonderful...that's why I have never liked the city. Not after living in Trottingham. Ponies stare too much." She said, sighing and glancing out the door at the pool before looking back at North. "So where are you from ?" She asked, not noticing the small droplets of water making their way down her legs.

He held his silence. She didn't seem to realize he'd been referring to the cloud part of the city... And maybe she didn't know about her deformity. After all, she was hiding her wings tonight. North shouldn't have been so tactless about that. He sighed. "I don't really stay in any one place very long," he said, truthfully. "I was from Manehattan originally. Got out of there quickly." He took a moment to look at her again as he noticed her glancing outside. She was... dripping? He peered at the droplets rather longer than he meant to, and averted his eyes at the last second.

He held his silence. She didn't seem to realize he'd been referring to the cloud part of the city... And maybe she didn't know about her deformity. After all, she was hiding her wings tonight. North shouldn't have been so tactless about that. He sighed. "I don't really stay in any one place very long," he said, truthfully. "I was from Manehattan originally. Got out of there quickly." He took a moment to look at her again as he noticed her glancing outside. She was... dripping? He peered at the droplets rather longer than he meant to, and averted his eyes at the last second.

Ocean nodded. "I've never been to Manehattan. I think its the kinda place where I would want to go once...for a day. I don't like Cities mu...ch." She top half sentence as she felt the usual numb almost relaxing feeling starting in her hooves which were slowly beginning to become transparent and almost seemed to melt into the ground. "I uh...I gotta go to the little fillies room." She said, quickly trotting off towards the bathroom, grabbing her bag as she went. *Buck buck buck buck buck buck buck.* She thought, opening the door to the bathroom and closing it behind her. She quickly began searching through her bag with her magic as her hooves became totally clear. The same thing began happening to her legs.

Ocean nodded. "I've never been to Manehattan. I think its the kinda place where I would want to go once...for a day. I don't like Cities mu...ch." She top half sentence as she felt the usual numb almost relaxing feeling starting in her hooves which were slowly beginning to become transparent and almost seemed to melt into the ground. "I uh...I gotta go to the little fillies room." She said, quickly trotting off towards the bathroom, grabbing her bag as she went. *Buck buck buck buck buck buck buck.* She thought, opening the door to the bathroom and closing it behind her. She quickly began searching through her bag with her magic as her hooves became totally clear. The same thing began happening to her legs.

"I can't say..." North's voice died in his throat when the mare practically galloped away. A strange mixture of emotions rose in his chest, which he sighed, and ignored. 

 

A glimmer caught his eye. 

 

The floor was shining with a thick trail of water following the path the mare had fled towards the bathroom. North raised an eyebrow, and being careful not to slip, followed the water, right up to the restroom. The trail grew wider and wetter the farther he went. The trail disappeared under the door. North gazed at the door, contemplating the whorls in its wood, before deciding. He knocked on the door. 

 

"Is everything alright in there?"

Ocean fumbled around in her bag. "Um...y-yea...everything's okay...I just gotta...um...mare stuff." She said, pulling out the usual blue potion.
She pulled off the cork and drank half the bottle. She sighed and put it back into her bag...but nothing happened. She turned on the tap. "I'll uh...I'll be a couple minutes...just...washing my face..." She said, waiting for the potion to take effect.
