Hey everybody. I figured I'd make this my general art thread.

 

First up is my namesake. I originally intended for it to be in FiM style but it kinda got too detailed for that. The eye also needs to be drawn differently, I will have to work on that. It is an andrewsarchus, a prehistoric hoofed carnivore, and still the largest land carnivore I believe. 

 

 

 

These are sketches of various G3 ponies(Tink-a-Tink-a-Too, Butterscotch as a boy, Cloud Climber as a boy) I'm trying to develop my own way of drawing MLPs. Not there yet, I'm going to have to try more.

I wanted to design a cutie mark that visually displayed my passions.

When I knew what I wanted to do with my life was when I realized how enamored I was with the 'making of' extra on dvd, mostly with the art, cinematography, and storyboards. I knew I wanted to do animation also.

The pony is a mix breed of two ideas I'm equally fond of and have my own reasons for choosing either, a zebra or pegasus. A Zesus? A Pegbra? idunno.

I do not intend for him to stay this way, I'm more of a fan of characters that you could easily imagine in the background. I'll have to think about it. I'll probably change the cutie mark too. It's just a first draft, nothing final.

 

 

 

And finally, a more finished work. Pinkie and Dash... Being weird I guess.

These are really good! You truly have skill.

 

I especially like the shading you've acquired in the last painting.
