Cawna twisted the menu around. She didn't know what half the food was listed on the menu. "So, what are you gonna get?" She asked as she tried to make sense of the menu. She read a food title and description to herself as she waited Star's response. Hay something something gemstone something....the buck? she thought.

 

'Uhhhhhhh....' Star Notes could not think of what to get. It was all fancy and exotic foods from around Equestria. "Uuhh...I think I will get the...umm...small apple pie." Star Notes finished lamely. She tried to pick the cheapest and simplest meal so Cawana didn't have to pay a fortune.

Arrow smiled and followed Missy into the castle. One of the guards gave her a suspicious look and stared at her wings...but she ignored it. "So where too from here ?" She asked, looking around the large beautiful building.
As much as Arrow was enjoying herself...she was already starting to get a little tired...as she said before, all this concrete pony made things were tiring her out...but she just pushed it away.

Just through this door here. Missy pushed open the door to the garden. It was magnificent, Missy had been in here with Fluttershy before but she had never really gotten the chance to appreciate it.

"What do you think? Planty enough for ya?" Missy asked jokingly.

Arrow's eyes widened. Missy was right...the garden was magnificent. There were tall tree's, colorful flowers, animals, a small stream...it was beautiful. "...Its...amazing." She said, taking a few steps past the door.
Even after being there for only a few moments, she was already starting to feel better...it was like she had just stepped into a forest that goes on for miles...but it was just a small garden in the center of a city...

Missy was really happy to see that Arrow was so pleased. She giggled at her amazement of the trees and plants, she could already see Arrow getting less tired.

"So, do you like it? I thought it would be a nice little visit for us," Missy said. "Anyway, i haven't seen Twilight in a long time so i'll leave you with your plants and i'll be back in about 10 minutes."

"So Star, what do you want to do after we eat?"

Arrow just nodded. "O-Okay." She replied, approaching a nearby blue flower.

She leaned close to it and its peddles almost seemed to open up as she got closer. Arrow laughed then looked down at her hooves to see a couple vines slowly moving towards her. "Yes yes, I see you." She muttered, letting the vines wrap around her hooves.

Missy was trotting to the throne room with a certain vigor in her steps, it has been a while since she had talked to or even seen Twilight, maybe about six months. Although she had been in touch with her other friends, it would be nice to finally see her.

"Halt. What business have you here?" a guard asked.

"I'm here to see the Princess." Missy said.

"She can't see you right now. She's busy." The guard replied.

"But, she knows me, i'm Missy, one of her friends, her student for pony's sake." Missy said with a sad tone.

"It's ok, let her in." A familiar voice called out. Suddenly, a purple alicorn with the element of magic perched upon her head appeared

"Twilight!" Missy shouted.

If somepony were to enter the gardens in search for Arrow...it would take quite a while to find her.
She had lay down on a patch of grass just a moment ago...and now she was covered in vines and flowers...they had all grown around her and now she just looked like a breathing pile of flowers...and she loved it.

Missy walked into the throne room rather happily, it was the first time in six months that she was going to spend with her teacher and she wanted it to be special.

"So, my faithful student." Twilight said in a slightly sarcastic tone. "What have you been doin in Appleloosa?"
"Well, i have a special somepony, she's great, she's into plants and stuff, she's just so nice." Missy said.

"That's great, Missy, i know how much you've wanted to move on with your life." Twilight invited Missy over to sit with her and read a book together, Missy was happy to oblige.

About 15 minutes later, Missy walked back to the gardens happily, knowing that her teacher hadn't forgotten about her.

"Arrow? Are you still here?" Missy asked the plants.

"Immf overmf hermf." Came a muffled voice from a small pile of flowers. A few moments later, Arrow had managed to wriggle out from below the flowers. "Hey...sorry...that's one of the bad sides about being connected to plants...they love you." She giggled and brushed the dirt from her coat.

She heard Arrow's muffled voice and immediately started laughing. It was so funny and she had no idea why.

"Well, let's say that the plants aren't the only things that love you." Missy said. "Come on, we'd better get out of here before the flowers decide to steal you away from me. She continued on jokingly. She walked out of the garden and Twilight was there, Missy assumed that she wanted to meet the famous plant mare.

"Hello, you must be ArrowLeaf." Twilight said.

Arrow laughed at Missy's comment. She nuzzled a pink flower before turning around and almost bumping right into Princess Twilight. "Oh...um...forgive me, princess." She said, bowing before nodding. "Yes...i'm ArrowLeaf." She said,  standing up straight again.
She had always found it strange talking to the princesses...she had never talked to Twilight but since Celestia and Luna were the only other ponies Arrow knew of that had lived just is long if not longer than she had, she just found it interesting.

Missy was pleased to know that her teacher had met the most important mare in her life.
"It's very pleasant to meet you, Missy has told me so much about you. She tells me you are a dryad, i have always wanted to meet one in person after reading so much about them." Twilight said. "Whenever you feel like it, you can come to the castle gardens and relax, the guards will let you in."

"We will see you another time, Princess." Missy bowed to her.

"OK, you two have fun, oh, Missy, don't forget to write more often." Twilight shouted after the two sincerely.

"Sorry, she can be kind of motherly sometimes." Missy said as they walked down the long road to Canterlot.

Arrow felt a slight pang as Twilight mentioned her being a dryad...even if Twilight was close to Missy...Arrow still felt slightly upset Missy had told twilight...considering the pony who had banished her from her tree all those years ago had become royalty...
Arrow just followed behind Missy. "Its okay...being motherly is fine." She said, forcing a smile which looked very convincing.

Missy decided to fill in the time between here and Canterlot square with her story.

"I remembered you mentioning Sombra in your story, well a few years ago i actually faced him with some other ponies. We used the Elements of Harmony to defeat him and we killed him once and for all. But he killed Twilight before he died. I sacrificed my own life to save her." Missy rememberede the ponies, their faces, their names resonating in Missy's mind. Splash, Emerald.......

"I'm sorry about telling Twilight about you not being a pony it's just we tell each other everything, we're very close friends. We used to be anyway." Missy's sentence trailed off at the end.

Arrow sighed. "Its okay Missy...I know you and Twilight are close...but I trusted you not to tell anypony. There is more to everything than just what happened with Sombra. The reason he banished me is because the crystal kingdom...well...it was just a simple town back then. But either way...the whole town thought I was evil...most talked about trying to kill me but Sombra knew something worse...and that was separating me from my home. If new's, actually got out...I wouldn't want that happening again." She said, staring down at her hooves.

Eventually, they got to Canterlot Square, it was the main market district, they started looking for a fancy clothes place.

"This place is called Best Dress. I think we should try in here. Missy motioned for the door. She was trying to distract Arrow from the issue at hand so they could just be happy. No drama.

"Well there are different opinions about different ponies that they have, like my little brother for example he his really shy but he also gives ponies a chance to see what he thinks of them, but then he doesn't really like to many other ponies because he stutters and they make fun of him for that even though he still helps them" Luna said while helping Fiera wash her mane.

Arrow felt a little distressed that they didn't figure out the problem...but she kept quiet and simply nodded, stepping into the shop.

Missy looked around to see Arrow walking through the door, she wanted to sort the situation out but the last time she tried to "fix" everything she had made things worse, so she decided to ignore the issue and try desperately not to bring it up again.

"This one looks nice, it has a very natural look, what do you think?" Missy asked.

Arrow examined the dress for a moment before shaking her head. "Its pretty...but I don't think I would look good in something that...complicated ? I dunno...it just looks a little to frilly. Maybe something just nice and simple." She said, looking at the dress next to the one that Missy had pointed out.

Missy turned to look at the one that Arrow was looking at, it was nice but...

"I like the color and all but it looks a little bland, like there should be more to it." Missy said. "But what do i know, i'm not a fashion mare, i'm not too good at picking dresses and stuff like that. I as a rule, barely ever wear dresses unless i need to."
