Submission for Welovefine Contest

The newest Welovefine design contest just got announced, so I decided to submit a design this year.

 

Not the final product, but here's the basic line art before colorization and clean up.

 

 

They're supposed to be dive bombing, but the camera doesn't want it to look like that.

 

Thoughts, perhaps maybe even?

I've done some work on it over the week. Still gotta add Cutie Marks, shading, and other random bits. I've only colored one of my pictures before, so this is a new practice for me.

 

 

I'm actually fond of it. Not nearly as cool as mcthedo's design, though.

I would buy this shirt! Actually, this is one of the best designs I've seen. This could win! I find it hilarious that it's Derpy doing the saving.

Egad! I forgot to color the Sonic Screwdriver.

 

Also, this is a really petty thing to wonder, but regarding the color of the tie: crimson like it is or blue?

For the tie: Crimiso. It seems more Dr.Whooves.

 

Maybe color the screwdriver a dark green. But, leave the tie as is. I really like it!

Added the cutie marks, some shadows on the farther limbs, and cleaned up the line art a bit more. Gonna add a cast shadow next. Now that the actual image is done, I'm wondering if I should be adding anything more, like Timey-Wimey shapes in the background.

 

Maybe I should add the phrase "Allons-y".
