Dmitri finally gathered up all weapons, made himself some sandviches and dashed out of his house. He galloped as fast as he could to Sweet Apple Acres, where the others were waiting. "Good... news, everypony!" he said, slightly out of breath. "De Princess does not seem very angry with us. She is on her way here, however, so we should be ready to meet her soon!"

Soarin had all his belongings as he flew down to meet them. He overheard the good news. "Holy crap! The princess ain't mad with us? I'll be darned!" He said. He met up with the group. "De Princess does not seem very angry with us. She is on her way here, however, so we should be ready to meet her soon!" Dmitri said. "Well sounds good to me." Soarin said.

"Ya mean like what sort of thing ticks me off or what sort of thing makes me nervous or jumpy or even on edge? I get really aannoyed when people pronounce things incorrectly, but then again I do have a Texan accent. I get jumpy when I'm put in awkward situatins or I don't know the answer to somethin'," Del said.

I mean... i know she wanted us separated. Maybe there was a reason for that? Besides the fact that we would attract attention? And what will she do when she comes? Del turned a light shade of scarlet.

"Thanks..." she replied. A smile crept onto her face slowly. Pyro had described her perfectly. She suddenly remembered something.

"I'll be right back," she excused herself. She left into the woods and checked her monitor. Her shack remained untouched. Del sighed in relief. Suddenly, a strangely hunched over creature sluggishly trudged onto the screen. Del screamed in terror. The creature appeared in a slow-motion horror. It sniffed the camera and disappeared in a burst of dust.

Del ran. She charged back towards the house, but the creature floated in in front of her. It snatched her by her hair and held her dangling before its paper mache face. Del screamed again, knowing what she had to do. She whipped her concealed knife out and gave herself a quick haircut. She now had short hair but no creature claws holding her. She spread her wings as she fell ten feet to the ground and flew to the path that led to the house. She got up on her hind legs and started to do the funky chicken. The creature hissed but stayed where it was.

"Tst, yeah right mate, the only reason that their 'Empire' is still afloat is because they've had help from Celly, and while it's rare to see a Griff 'ere, it's even rarer ta see a pony their, and dragons are basically banned after they had their little war. Ok then Del, don't take to long. And what's this I hear of Tia comin' ain't she having a date with Twilight? And why have you all got your things, we ain't at the point a battle yet, we don't even know wha..."

He cuts himself off when he hears Delilah scream,

"Dels in trouble!"

He shoots off in the direction of the scream, Pyro following close behind while the others stood shocked,

'They'll catch up'

He arrives at where Del is, in time to see her cut her hair and start doing something reminiscent of the Funky Chicken.

"What the blazes!?"

'Read her body language. Obvious signs of fear, looking presumable to what she thinks is their, doing ridicules dance, must think its something that can be gotten rid of by humor, must snap her out of it'

Pyro had just landed next to him,

"Hold up, she's halusinating, Imma try snapin' her out of it"

Mundy goes up to Del, flying to get into face level, and starts talking to her,

"Del, listen to me, whatever it is, whatever sort of creature you see, it's not there. Something in your mind, weather natural or placed, is causing you to see that, it's not there"

He places his claws on her shoulders steadying her and making it so he can look her in the eye,

"Come on Del. We haven't defied a direct order from a goddess just to lose you to a dream. You can't leave us now, you mean to much, especial to Dennis"

'That got a flich out of her'

"Pyro get ov'r 'ere now, I've found her anchor, you"

'May not be the only one, but it's all I got here now'

"No! You have to listen!" Del screamed in pure terror. "It can only be seen by anypony who knows the word! I learned it at an academy in the human world! It does not kill, it TORTURES in the worst ways! Princess Luna knows the word, too! She had to explain! Please, you have to believe me! And there's only one thing that it avoids! Dancing! I know it sounds ridiculous, but if I tell you the word, it can harm you!" Del was shrieking hysterically.

The creature noticed Del's lack of movement and began to move slowly towards her.

"The other end is that you can't hurt it!" Del yelled. "Not unless you can see it! I can tell you it, but it's only after me because..." Del choked back and broke into tears. "Because I stole its soul!" Del sobbed. "I didn't mean to!"

"What? Dis looks bad! What do you mean you 'stole its soul'?" Dmitri was confused. He had never heard of an invisible foe, except maybe for when spy was cloaking. It sounded pretty dangerous, but he couldn't be sure without actually seeing it! This was certainly going to be a very odd experience indeed.

@, "Don't worry Delilah! We ain't leaving you behind! Wait... you said it hates dancing? What a strange thing." he though confused for a moment with some sweat rushing around him. He wanted to do something and it had to be done now. But he didn't want to look ridiculous because of lie Delilah said. On the other hand she knew that Delilah wouldn't just lie... she wasn't a spy afterall. "If you mock me for this... i am gonna burn you to crisps guys." Sighing he decided to trust her and started doing a breakdance praying with half-closed eyes that none would mock him.

"Dancing? Now zat is odd indeed!" Dmitri said. "Dat does not mean I cannot dance though! I have no problem with dancing if it means I can save de life of one of my friends!" he cried. He started to do the Cossack, while singing to himself in Russian.

"Thank you!" Del almost cried in happiness that they had believed her. She just wished that she had never learned the word. She smiled and joined in with her dancing friends.

The creature, on the other hand, did not like the fact that they had listened and danced. It had, for a fact, a fear of flurry of movements, but that had been interpreted into dance. It began to shriek its terribly noises and it disintegrated to dust.

"It's gone," Del called.

"Well, might as well join in if this means beating him." Soarin said.

 

Soarin stopped dancing after the creature disappeared. Then he looked at his friends. "I guess we beat him." He said.

Dmitri stopped dancing and smiled. "Well, dat was certainly fun!" he said, laughing. "We should do dat again some time!" He looked at his friends, grinning. "Del, I need to ask you something." he took his gun off of his back and set it heavily down in the ground. "I need you to fix Sasha. If we are to carry out de Princess' orders, I vill need Sasha fixed! Are you able to?"

Dmitri was surprised by Dennis' sudden actions. "Uhh... You do know dat we can stop dancing now, right?" he then laughed at Dennis' remark. "Yes, it would be funny if she saw dis!" He laughed. "I see no reason why not to keep dancing, but I am hungry! I think I will sit out for a while." He sat down, took out a sandvich and began to eat it.

Del pulled her wrench out of her tool belt and got to work.

"Would anypony else like one? I haf plenty more if you do!" He asked the others. He had made sure to bring plenty before he left home.

"Delilah and I 'll have some in a minute, I gotta speak with her for a bit. Del, ove' 'ere please"

He said motioning over to a spot under the shade of one of the many apple trees on the farm, this one had some nice plush tallish grass, he sits down just outside the shadow, his face being light up slightly strangely, he motioned for her to sit across from him, she does.

In a calm, clear voice, he says,

"Now then, I want to help you understand this creature, but I need to preform some tests on you to do so, it's all completely safe and non-detrimental, and it probably won't require physical contact, but you need to be willing to tell me what I ask, and don't worry, I won't ask for 'The Word'."

His voice starts to distort slightly on his last sentence,

"So, May I Help?"

@, Dennis pulls back letting the two work. He just looks ahead distracted as he thinks. Something must be wrong with him or he wouldn't just decide to do... what he did. He just walked around and to take his head off what made him look extremely embarrased. "So fellas... what do you think that thing was? Sounded like some sort of ghost-spirit to me!"

@, "Eh... yea... " he noticed his claw nervously trembling and shake it witha  curious look. He took the sandwich and grabbed a big hungry bite and suddenly everything livened up for him. "God... thats a great sandwich... what do you put in it anyways? And how come i haven't noticed you making any other food? Well... you must really like sandwiches. We should call you the sandwich master!" he says laughing.
