@@Dawn Stripes, @@Pripyat Pony,

There was a brief knock on the door before the lock clicked, Abernathy stepping through. “Time's up, Burton. I get to get the ponies over to their new home!”

She then made her way over to Rainbow Dash, removing her bindings from her chair, recuffing the Pegasus' arms behind her back. “Alright, let's go. Time to get you Ponies off to your new home!” She chirped before several female agents. “Search 'em all.” Abernathy said flatly as she began to search Rainbow. After finding nothing, she grunted. “Time to go, Dashie~! Be a good girl, and I won't force you to take a nap!”

((What will the agents find??))

((Yeah, time to get things moving again! You all know the drill by now! Post your character's dialogue and whatnot!))

“Aren't we getting a wee bit ahead of ourselves, AJ??” Stephen asked, as he wasn't able to help but overhear. “Pardon me for cuttin' in, but we don't know fer sure... Maybe it's for the best?” He then shook his head and flashed the Earth Mare a smile. “Let's cross that bridge when we get there!”

He then focused on his meal, finishing a lot faster than he though he would. Maybe he was hungrier than he thought?

“Alright, less'all get back on the road!” Stephen said as he took out his debit card, covering both his and Cidcada's meal. Shawn did the same for Angie before rising to his feet. He led the way back out to the cars. “Time to hit the road already! We're burning daylight!”

@,

Colette continued to sob a bit more as Catherine embraced her from behind, doing her best to compose herself. She lowered her phone, as she had every intention of calling Angie, but found it more and more difficult to stop crying, and was reduced once more to a blubbering mess...

“I... How can you say that, Catherine? They were taken from us from God-knows-who, and we don't know where to find them! How is everything gonna be okay??” She continued to cry hysterically for several more moments before finally being able to calm down. “I'm sorry. Maybe—maybe things'll turn out fine like you say. Just keep thinking that, right??” Colette turned and flashed a weak grin at Catherine for a moment before letting it fade.

“...Any word about Jack??”

@,@@Hypn0ticD,@@Dawn Stripes, @Pripyat Pony,

He had caught the groan, and his steady - near subconscious - finger movements slowed to a near stop as he glanced slightly in her direction. When AJ began to speak, Logan turned his full attention to her. In reality, he only took a couple seconds to respond, but to him it felt as if time had slowed. This was one of the reasons he'd been apprehensive about even attempting to start something with her. He knew that any chance he could go with her - because there was no way he'd ask her to stay in this world - was incredibly slim, and had come to slight terms with it. But here it was, exactly what he'd spoken to Scott about. The aspect was causing her grief.

This was one of the reasons Logan had always behaved in the more realist-pessimist side of things. Expect the worst, so when it happens, you aren't disappointed. And if it doesn't, then you can be elated. He still suspected why the outcome of all of this would be when it came time for Applejack and her friends to return home, but thinking about it hurt. Even more so when Logan saw the look in her eyes.

The officer shifted his hand from the center of her back - between the shoulder blades - to rest on the shoulder furthest from him, and applied slight pressure in a type of partial hug, given their seated positions making it difficult to wrap her in a full embrace, which at this moment was what he wanted more than anything to do. He gave her a half smile, unable to keep a hint f sadness from creeping around the edges, "I've heard of long distance relationships, but never any spanning worlds.." He said, mainly thinking aloud, before her looked her in the eyes and responded, "To be completely truthful, I don't know. I like to hold on to the hope that Twi'll find a way to allow me to to go with you, but in the vent of that not happening..." He drew in a breath and let it out in a quiet sigh, "Love's a curious thing, AJ. I can't claim to be an expert or know everything about how it works. But I do know that it has power to span most any gap or distance... My brother went through something a little like this, granted his girlfriend was from around here, but they maintained a steady relationship when they were a country apart, going weeks without communication... I guess what I'm trying to say is, whether we can ever see one another again or not, I'm still going to keep loving you, keep you in my heart, and in that sense we'll still be together." It sounded weird to him, hearing the words come from his own mouth, with his own voice. Logan could storm a building and keep calm while getting shot at, but this kind of thing actually made him nervous, and though he was trained to cover that up, he couldn't help but feel some had snuck through the partial facade.

It was about here that he heard Stephen's comment towards Applejack's concerns. Logan shot him an over the shoulder glance that could have read a multitude of things, but most prominent being, 'I am handling this'. His expression didn't last however, because the Scotsman's words did hold truth. Logan turned his gaze back to his girlfriend's, "He's right though. It doesn't always do well to dwell on sadder things. Let's enjoy the time that we know we have together, and cross the darker bridges when we get there."

PDA's beyond hugging and hand holding weren't something Logan tended to feel comfortable or agree with, but right now he figured he could above that aside. It would be difficult to embrace Applejack properly, but to kiss her lips would be easily done, and that was precisely what he did. Sure, there were others at the table, possibly watching the couple's quiet conversation, and they had a mission to get back to ASAP, but he didn't care right now. It may have been brash and maybe irrational, but if just felt like the proper thing to do. The kiss didn't last longer than a second, but he hoped it had gotten his point across. Logan didn't plan on letting anything happen to Applejack, or her friends, so long as he drew breath.

As the man drew away, he moved his arm that had even resting across her shoulders down and clasped one of her hands in both of his, giving her another smile that this time he knew had a little more happiness behind it, "I love you, Applejack. No matter the distance. Please, don't ever forget that."

It was a mixture of a few things. Growing up in an age where it wasn't always looked upon as anything other than a sign of weakness in males, and alongside the police academy training them to keep their emotions in check, but there were tears visible in his eyes though his voice betrayed nothing. Keeping one hand on hers, Logan finished the small portion of food he'd ordered and sorted out the appropriate payment to cover himself and AJ, and even for Twilight - Logan had been the one to find her first in this world after all, and even though they didn't interact very often and definitely not on the extent of himself and AJ, he still felt responsible for her. After this was finished, he rose from his seat and exited with the rest.

Outside of the restaurant, Ulysses had waited the entire duration of the visit, vigilantly sitting on the bench, or occasionally lying beneath it, until they exited. In that time he'd had plenty of visitors, many of which glanced at his collar and made odd noises of what he ha gathered was understanding, and some even refilled the water that master had placed out for him, including some that smelled like the spent a lot of time in a food preparing place(employees). Unbeknownst to the canine of course it was the tag upon his color that bore his name, serial number, handler's name and number, and the motto of his department of police, Facta Non Verba - "Deeds, not Words", that answered they unspoken questions.

As always there were the human pups that made gleeful sounds at the sight of a glossy coated, floofy doggy sitting around as if he had a sign that said, 'I'm friendly, pet me' hanging above his head in bright neon lights, though sometimes their parents redirected them away from him, smelling of apprehension and fear. Not every human knew that he was friendly, after all.

As well as the pups, there were the females an the occasional male that were of an age beyond puppy but not quite adult, that seemed quite pleased to see him sitting there. He sat diligently through their attentions and affections, but never strayed from his place by the door more than a distance of a few feet.

When he caught the familiar scent of his Master, and the pleasantly scented human that made his Master so happy, intermingled with the rest that he recognized as their pack fellows, or some of them at least, he stood and watched the door, ears perked forward and tail swishing back and forth expectantly. That drew a couple more giggles from the human pups that were allowed by their parents to pet him as the bushy appendage brushed the air before theirs faces. When Ulysses caught sight of his Master and the others leaving, he bounded happily over to them, deliberately pressing his head against his Master's thigh until his hand that was not clasping the apple scented female's made contact with his back.

Ulysses happily moved, allowing the stationary hand to run the distance of his spine as he curled around his Master's thigh and transferred himself over to the sweet apple scented female's side. The Sheperd could smell sadness on them, and in response he bumped the woman's hand with his nose once before shoving his head against it gently. Many humans mistook this as a bid for attention, and completely overlooked that Ulysses could smell their distress, and this was his attempt at comfort.

The German Sherperd's adoring audience of children had dispersed after it became apparent he was Logan's, and the man gave them a short mod and a slight smile as if to say 'thanks for keeping him company'.

---

Much like Logan ha suspected, at least one of the group was watching voluntarily. That being Angie, who his the sad smile she wore beneath her hands as she resting her chin on her palms. It was nice to see Logan caring so deeply about someone for once, but it was definitely sad, there was no denying that. It had taken years of practice, but Angie had gotten decided good at watching other people so subtly, even those trained to notice subtle things had a chore noticing. Maybe that only applied to Logan, but it still stood. Try as she might, Angie couldn't hear what was being said, and probably for the better. But the glassy eyes that her best friend wore legitimately surprised her. There had only ever been one other time she'd actually seen him cry in public, but for immensely different reasons. It had been on an EMS call. Every now and again they would get truly horrible ones beyond 'someone did something to get themselves hurt' or 'an elderly citizen needs medical assistance'. Sometimes they get those calls. The ones involving domestic violence, and children, ranging from toddlers to infants.

One such call had warranted the police to be there as well, and it worked out that Logan was on duty when the call came in. He went into the home with the EMTs, and when he saw the state of the kid, and how infuriatingly indifferent the culprit, the kid's own parent, was about it, he left the home in a silent, ready rage and sent in another officer to take his spot. It was probably for the ether that he had, before he did something they'd all regret. There was a reason EMT's weren't aloud to carry weapons on calls.

It was while Angelica DuFrein was lost in this train of thought that everyone began to go about leaving. She shook herself to reality, and instinctively went for her own wallet. She stopped herself however, as something about Shawn's body language hinted at 'I've got it covered'. The woman cracked a partial smile, and tailed the rest of the group out of the establishment.

---

Diliges, being what he was, had been privacy to the flaring of the connecting borealis effect of the 'love tie' as Logan spoke. The words he did not know, nor did he care to. Unlike Angelica, he was not purposefully 'watching'. To combat this, the Changeling captain had focused on his meal, and when that no longer worked - for it had been consumed - he rested his head against his steepled hands, keeping his eyes shut.

Luckily, Diliges had received some form of distraction out of his Queen during his time in the restaurant. Apparently one of her captors was a Changeling, a mare named Kai'sa. Diliges had to search through his deeper recesses of his mind to find the name. So it was her. The right hand of the previous Queen. She had been to Metis what Cicada is to Chrysalis, to an extent. He wasn't fully aware of what their relationship had been, whether it was strictly professional, or if they had been friends beforehand. Part of him doubted they shared the same sisterly bond that his commander and Queen did. There were many gaps in Diliges' knowledge, not being a Hive Born, and growing up disconnected from his kind. But he did not mind it. Ignorance is bliss, as some said. He had a purpose and he served it when able.

While he had heard the message, Diliges figured it had been geared more towards his Commander anyway, so he gave it no response. Instead, he meditated on why one of the Changelings, a High Blood, would be working against them. Chrysalis mentioned bonds and blackmail. Magical inhibitors, or something of the like. His cover being a Unicorn as he grew up in the small town of Mareheim, Diliges had read multiple books on spells, and he vaguely remembered one holding a section explaining inhibition spells, but not how to cast them, as they were usually restricted to use by Military, or some of special cases. So the spearhead of his Queen's captors was either of some importance in the Pony hierarchy, or a criminal. Diliges smiled inwardly. He was fulfilling his purpose.

Were he of a different personality, Diliges might have passed the time feeding off of the various Emotion Borealis floating in the air. He refrained, however, and when it came time to leave, he stood, offered any necessary assistance, and left with the team.

Louise thought that this was a pain, tho not a problem as such. Good at collecting information as she was, she was sure that she'd be able to find out the new location soon enough. She had every intention of keeping her promise; for one thing, it would mean that the ponies would be in her debt and she would call in that favour as soon as she could. Louise had thought of how much she wanted to go home in the past few years but had long dismissed it as an impossibility. Now however, there was hope. She made only a cursory search of Pinkie Pie, not expecting to find anything. It was, however, a strange jumble of items that Louise pulled out of the pink haired girl's pockets, causing Pinkie's hair to puff up, returning to its normal curly state, and a huge grin to spread across the Pony's face.

Despite everything, having fun was still on Pinkie's list and she enjoyed this little bit of fun as Louise pulled out of Pinkie's pockets a ball of wool, a rubber chicken, a squeaky ball, a peanut butter and jam sandwich neatly wrapped in clingfilm, a plastic banana and a bunch of helium balloons that broke free and floated up to the ceiling. Pinkie gave the surrounding agents an innocent smile as this last was taken from her pockets, despite the ridiculousness of there being a bunch of inflated balloons in such a small space, let alone all the rest of the stuff.

Fluttershy shut her eyes and squirmed, making mewling noises of misery as she was patted down, much to the discomfort of the allegedly stoic suits doing the job. It didn't improve things any when the only things recovered from her dress were a comb, a ziploc pouch of bird seed, and several vaguely suggestive sketches of one of the girls from which the ponies had been kidnapped.

"He's going to be alright." Catherine kept Colette in her arms, not wanting to let go, as she explained what had happened to Jack. She paused for a moment after that and let out a sigh. "Collie, ma cher, I... I need your help. I don't know what to do about Jack. I mean, I love him, but I just want to be good friends with him. Any time I even think of talking to him about it, I just clam up and I keep telling myself that it's the wrong time." Cat finally let go of Colette and laid down on her back next to her. "Je ne veux pas blesser ses sentiments. J'ai l'impression qu'il serait en colère contre avec moi pour rompre avec lui."

Having finished searching Pinkie, Louise then began to search Rarity. All Rarity had on her was a makeup bag, a case with sunglasses, a small bottle of perfume and half a tube of Polo mints. Louise shrugged and nodded to Abernathy. "All done," she said. "You can take them now."

Louise was thinking that as soon as Abernathy was out of the way, she would then set to work.

Pinkie and Rarity weren't far behind. Rainbow wasn't trying to raise conversation. She had to play secret agent now. She wanted to get this over with so she could get back to Princess Twiligt...

A short gasp. Rainbow looked down and twisted her face into the edge of emotion. Fluttershy was plastered against her, arms wrapped around her upper chest and eyes shut.

After a moment, her expression settled back into something hard. Rainbow Dash threw one arm around Fluttershy and squeezed, patted. Fell back to Rarity and Pinkie and looked them both in the eye. Nothing was going to happen to FLuttershy. Was it?

Louise hung about til the ponies were taken to the new location; one of the other agents had let slip where this was, and Louise could hardly wait to set to work. The place where the ponies were to be held indefinitely had a security system with a built in computer system; at which Louise rubbed her hands in glee. Computers were something she'd really taken to during her years in the human world, and she was sure that it wouldn't take long for her to hack into the security system and pave the way for the ponies' escape. Of course, it would be up to them afterwards, but Louise was sure that the ponies would be up to that. Equestrians were infinitely resourceful, after all. She herself was living proof of that.

Abernathy led the pack of down the hall, glancing over her shoulder every now and then to the suspiciously quiet rainbow headed upstart. She shook her head, dismissing it Rainbow finally learning to calm down. She continued to lead the mares outside to an awaiting van. "We've got quite a drive ahead of us. No complaints."

Abernathy watched as the Ponies obediently piled into the van before silently getting in herself.

After travelling north for some hours down highway after highway, the van came to a stop just outside gray and windowless building, its decrepit, dead exterior looming up from the thick forest in which it stood. "You'll be spending the night here, ladies! Single file line whilst I lead you to your quarters!" Abernathy chirped as she slid the back door open. She led the party into the bright and sterile corridors and alcoves of the interior, and onward into a long holding cell not too unlike the the first, albeit furnished with five beds along the back wall.

"Huddle, gossip, and braid each others' hair all you like, but get some sleep, girls. You'll be very, very busy tomorrow." Abernathy said as she took a step towards the door, "I'll see if I can grab some of m your other Equestrian pals! Maybe I'll be kind and grab your Princess for you! Louise was impatient. She couldn't start things off til she was sure that the ponies were at their destination, so to pass the time she spoke to some of the younger agents about random things. Louise could hardly believe her ears when one junior agent casually let drop about a meteorite that had fallen and which was supposed to emit considerable power. She knew she'd have to find out all she could about this, as it could be the key to finally getting home.

Pinkie perked up a bit once Abernathy left. She sat down on one of the beds and bounced. "We're not going to be here long," she said. "So we'd better plan what we're gonna do once we get out!"

Rarity said in a low voice, "Louise told me what we need to do. I'm going to use my magic to change our outfits so that we're less noticable, and we're basically going to try and get back to where the others are."

She frowned. Rarity still wondered whether Louise could be trusted.

~~~
Louise sat in front of a computer, working carefully. She had a plan set out in her head as to what exactly to do. Not only did she have to bring down the security, including the electric powered lock on the cell that the ponies were in, she also had to do this undetected. Luckily, Louise had the skill to do this, and as a result, her hacking would be put down to a minor power glitch. She smiled with triumph when her plan came to fruition; not only the power would go down, but the cameras would only show white snow when viewed. No-one would see the ponies escape. And when she could, she would most certainly call in that favour that the ponies owed her.
Louise thought for a moment about her old home. The batwinged pegasi resided up a tall mountain in Equestria, fairly near to Canterlot. While they were sometimes seen by other ponies, that didn't happen very often as they mostly prefered to go about in darkness. This was a preference for the night which was appropriate, given that they were Luna's guard. Louise shivered; she had already learned from watching the show that Luna had returned and couldn't wait to meet her.
~~~

Rarity was about to speak, when the lights flickered once and then went out. There was an ominous click from the door, showing that the electronic lock had opened. "What's going on?" she cried.

"Ooh, I know!" Pinkie said, bouncing up from her seat. "That mare we met earlier; this is her keeping her promise to us!"

Pinkie was skilled in fourth wall breaking and knew this to be a fact. Rarity focused her magic on herself and her friends, changing their clothes into black velvet ninja style gear. Even in this moment of urgency, she still could not resist the temptation to make their outfits stylish. The ninja outfits would cover the ponies' vivid hair and render them almost invisible in the darkness caused by the blackout.

"Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy," Rarity said in a low voice to her friends. "This is it. Let's get out of this place, quickly and quietly."

@@Hypn0ticD, Finally he answered! He heard the familiar voice of Stephen with some relief. "God i was thinking you'd never answer Stephen! Things have actually gone worse since you guys went off! Jack he... Jack crashed and he's in the hospital right now! And then when we wanted to get out of the race... Stephen they took them! The took the ponies!" he had a trembling tone in his voice... he was stressed and he couldn't rest. "There were some guards... CIA/FBI i don't know! They said they wanted to do some checks to us and they just took the ponies! Chloroformed us like we were criminals and just took them god knows where! Oh Rainbow... what am i gonna do? What the hell am i supposed to do?" The last sentence wasn't particularly headed to Stephen... he caught his forehead holding his head... sweeping the sweat that had gathered upon as well as... tears?

"Rarity?" Fluttershy piped up where she curled into the grass, perpetually tugging her sleeves up. "I have to pee!"

Rainbow Dash growled and facepalmed. "You couldn't have gone before we left?" she said.

"I was going to go after we left the race! I didn't know--this would happen!"
Rainbow Dash lolled her head back to the dark black rectangle that was the nameless building behind them. She thought she'd seen a bathroom a few doors back, but really..."Can't you just hold it until we're not surrounded by bad guys? We'll find a Mickey-D's or a Culver's or something."

@@Dawn Stripes, "Yes, this isn't really the time or place," Rarity said, looking nervously about her. "Maybe once we're out of here? There might be guards... there probably are. The blackout won't last forever so we'd better try and leave. Once we're gone, we can find a restaurant or a bar where you can go, Fluttershy."

@@Pripyat Pony, @@Dawn Stripes,

Abernathy looked over the blurred photo once again, taking another sip of her coffee. From what she could tell, there appeared to be large formation of a most unusual crystalline structure, floating some feet above the choppy waves of the Atlantic Ocean, shimmering in the sun.

23 Years. That's how long ago Abernathy had snapped this photo... the memory brought a smirk to her face. She was only a few years older than Paige when she went out on those rough waters. She had vomited up just about two weeks worth of meals that day alone, but in a morbid way, it was well worth it!

She reminisced as a boat full of agents more junior than she apporached the rock. They were only meant to set up monitoring buoys around it, and that was all. That group oglf young agents hadn't gotten the first buoy into the water when--

Abernathy was jolted from her reverie as the room was pitched into inky blackness. What the hell?! She bolted out the door, looking this way and that with futility. She heard the din of the engineers and guards scrambling to restore power somewhere down the hall, so Abernathy followed the sound, reaching out and fumbling against the wall as she did so.

She screwed her eyes shut as the power was restored, the whiteness of the walls assaulting them. "What the fuck just happened??"

The guards and junior agents froze in place at the sharp boom of the head agent's voice. "Someone hacked into the electrical and security systems…" Paige said hesitantly. "And they've managed to disable all of the cell doors…"

***

A loud wail cut through the still night air, accompanied by bright lights shining into the woods. It wasn't long before the shouts of men could be heard, along with the barkng of dogs not too far off…

@,

"Okay…" Colette said as she continued the embrace. "Lemme know when you wanna break it to 'im…"

Colette wanted to help Catherine in any way she could, but she wasn't sure how… on top of that, there was the matter of the Ponies. What the hell was she gonna do?! Fluttershy…

Colette tightened her embrace as she did her best not to break down again. She needed tyk believe that things were going to be olay, like Cat said. But were they? No! She couldn't break down! She shouldn't break down! She had to stay strong for Cat!

Colette held Catherine like this for a moment more before pulling away, quickly wiping away a tear. "It's getting late. Why don't you hop in the shower whilst I tidy up??"

@Hypn0ticD

Catherine nodded and wiped away her tears. She got up, helped Colette up, embraced her one more time, then walked into the bathroom. Leaving her clothes on the floor and a towel on the curtain rod, she turned on the shower and slipped in. After cleaning herself off, Cat sat down in the stream of water and held her knees, thinking about all the thoughts rushing through her head: the ponies, Jack, Colette, her family, and friends.

"Wh-what?!" Stephen cried out as Dennis finished his emotional rant. He wracked his mind for something to say, bit words failed him. What could he do??

Stephen looked around the cabin "Dennis, hold on." Stephen lowered his phone before addressing the others. "Guys, we have a problem. Dennis just said that Jack's been in an accident, and the Ponies -- the Ponies have been kidnapped..."

Shawn turned to face his brother for a breif moment, his jaw hanging in surprise. "What?! Where?!" He whipped his head back around to face the road, but caught himself turning his head again a few times.

What in the hell were they gonna do?! "We… we can't turn around now. We're too far!" Shawn glanced over to Angie, nodding toward his phone. "Call Applejack. The others at least gotta know…" he then focused his attention on Cicada. "Maybe let Queenie and Diliges know?"

"Dennis... we're coming up on a state border. We can't just turn around and head back. Besides, we need to go save Chrysalis... I--I'm sorry!"

@@Hypn0ticD, ((OOC:Okay emotional rant... is too much. I think you're overall being too harsh on him.)) Dennis clenched his fist gave a punch to the wall. A loud voice yelled at the other side "DO THIS ONCE MORE AND I'M CALLING THE POLICE!" which effectively shocked him back into his senses and wiped some of the frustration. He took a deep breath and said as calmly as he could... "I... i understand... it's okay. Just... bring her home and let's do what needs to be done. Is there... isn't there anything we could do? I don't know how the hell i am supposed to help you guys. I want to do something so bad... but this whole thing feels like we're chained. Sorry... i shouldn't nag you about this thing, you got greater things to worry about than me. Think i am gonna take a visit to Col or Jack in the next day."
