"Rarity for Two", and how it might connect to Princess Twilight

Back on that thread that updates on the progress of Season Four, I was given an episode title for a potential S4 Rarity episode, called "Rarity for Two".  If I were to sum up a guess as to what it'll be about, the title might refer to Rarity become depressed that she became the only unicorn of the group, while Twilight herself became an alicorn.

Here's how I feel the episode will go:

In the beginning, Rarity becomes lonely, and envious of Rainbow and Applejack for keeping their respective same-species counterparts, Fluttershy and Pinkie, respectively, while Twilight became an alicorn.  So, she sets off to find a potential new same-species counterpart.  She tries out every pony, from Lyra Heartstrings to Vinyl Scratch, and unfortunately none of them fit her.  Then, by the third act, Rarity heads to Twilight to demand that she be changed into an alicorn herself, so that she could regain Twilight as a same-species counterpart.  Unfortunately, the last time Twilight gave Rarity wings, they were butterfly wings that burnt to ash when she flew too high into the sun.  Twilight still tries to add wings on Rarity, regardless, but even as an alicorn, she still didn't have enough magical power to create real pegasus wings for her, rather than butterfly wings like last time.

By the end of the episode, Rarity learns a valuable friendship lesson: That it shouldn't matter what species Twilight becomes, so long as she remains her friend alongside the other main ponies.

In a sense, Rarity would be synonymous to us, as well as our feelings for seeing Twilight becoming an alicorn princess.  We were once upset over Twilight becoming an alicorn, because fanboys often throw temper tantrums every time they see changes to their favorite franchises.  However, unlike the Mass Effect fans, whose tantrums forced BioWare to placate them with an Extended Cut ending to Mass Effect 3, we've managed to move on from this whole debacle, and even understood why they had to make her an alicorn princess: Because it was all a reflection of her character-development.

Even if we've moved on, the writers probably thought that our outrage is continuing.  So, they likely made "Rarity for Two" about Rarity -- and by extension, all of us here -- struggling to move on with the idea that Twilight is no longer the same species as her.

What's your opinion on this?

I think the idea is brilliant even though I don't think the title depicts that my guess is that she may be doing simpler like having to be at two fashion shows or something like that.

An episode of Pound Puppies, titled "No Dogs Allowed", was social commentary on the brony phenomenon, and how it was upstaging Pound Puppies, even though by the end of the episode, the moral was that if people had to pick between Pound Puppies and MLP, they can always pick both no matter what.

Likewise, "Rarity For Two" will probably be social commentary on how we feel about the "two of each species" balance becoming disrupted for the rest of the show.  Rarity will eventually learn to respect and care for Twilight as a friend, regardless if she earned her wings at Rarity's expense.

That's a pretty plausible idea actually, although I'm not really keen on the idea of Rarity hanging out with background ponies; I think it'd be better if they threw a new character in there or something, perhaps someone she meets after a montage with background ponies? The two part would make a bit more sense then I think.

One one hand, I'm somewhat expecting a meta episode about people coming to terms with Twilight being a princess now, but at the same time it would feel weird for Rarity to worry about something like this. Her best friend in the group is likely Fluttershy, who isn't a Unicorn at all, and to this point I don't think there's ever been much focus given to them thinking about their races. It's a good lesson, but I don't think Rarity really needs to learn it. I'm pretty skeptical about this actually being an episode title anyway.

I don't really know how an episode like ''Rarity for Two'' could connect to Princess Twilight. But, it might tie into the two-parter and maybe it could involve Rarity having a certain duty to do involving Twilight's reign as a princess. But whatever it is, maybe it could also be someone trying to meet Twilight but instead meets Rarity. Maybe, a random background pony.

I'm not sure if they'd have Rarity hang with background ponies, or if the episode will truely be about this, but its never the less an interesting idea.

I think if it was to happen it'd be between some other ponies that aren't background ponies.

Otherwise I guess it'd be a cool episode.

I do have to think about what Dashforever said though, I mean I don't know if Rarity would really care about different Appendages or anything really :P. Like mentioned Fluttershy seems to be great friends with Rarity, despite her being a pegasi.

So idk it may be odd for her to feeling that way, idk.

It could be a cool episode i guess.

I actually don't know if this is a confirmed episode title either, not sure on S4 speculations since I don't keep up with them a whole lot.

The episode sounds alright, but I don't think Rarity would care that she is now the only unicorn in the group. Besides she better friends with Fluttershy then Pinkie is if you ask me.

If anything the title sounds more like there is somepony copying Rarity and becoming her. Kinda like if Scootaloo with Rainbow Dash. Or it could be Rarity found someone who is like her. I don't know.
