"You don't mean zat, do you? Pity." Red walked in the path of Novella and went into the jungle room. "Hey, schtupid! I'll give you a bit if you step over zere." Pointing to a spot of grass, he chuckled. "No? Drat." Looking around some more, Red started hopping around in an odd manner.

A loud whine comes from no where sounding a bit like a screech. Then the screech stops and the voice comes back.

"Oh so you want some allies? I'll show you allies! Oh I will show you allies. Sometimes the best weapons are hidden among you. And sometimes you must choose to save yourself over saving others. Remind yourself of the nature of this game. If you kill another pony off you get a special advantage! If it's a pony you're supposed to be allied with...Well I have something quite amazing in store for you. Good luck!" The voice abruptly stops.

 

Novella hears this new announcement and shudders a bit. She knows she's the most useless. She uses a bit of magic to help herself up into the branches of a nearby tree.

"Threatening with allies...Well that's a new one..." Novella thinks.

 

Suddenly a dense flock of ravens swoops down on the ponies and starts pecking at them all.

"I TOLD YOU I WOULD SHOW YOU ALLIES!" The voice yells followed by a wicked laugh and an abrupt cut off.

 

The ravens land on Novella in her tree and peck her, ending her camouflage spell. So many land on her and start biting her that she becomes top heavy and falls out of the tree. She tries to swipe them off herself but it fails.

As the ravens bombarded everypony, Icy Stars used her good wing to try to swat them away from herself and others.

"What the hay is going ON?"

Ice spotted the pony that nearly drowned earlier and galloped towards her, flapping her good wing frantically. The ravens were startled but continued their pecking, some transferring to her. She lifted her front hooves and swatted at them again.

"Get lost!" She yelled.

@, Novella let out a small grunt as she fell. She hit the ground hard and faintly noticed a shape coming towards her and yelling as the ravens swarm over her.  She whimpered slightly and her horn started glowing. She screamed and a blast of energy that pushed all of the crows near her away came from her horn. The crows fell to the ground, dead. She breathed heavily, trying to regain her composure.

Icy Stars scuttled backwards, wide eyed, as the unicorn screamed and used magic to kill the birds. She walked towards the poy and held out a hoof to help her up.

"Hey... You okay? You look like you hit the ground hard, Th-that was some pretty strong magic... Especially if you got injured."

@, "I'll be fine. She's bound to kill me off first anyway...I just need a second." Novella kept breathing heavily for a few more moments then laid back and closed her eyes. She tried to stand, but she had injured one of her hind legs.

"On second thought maybe I won't be fine..." She commented as she fell back down.
