Why RD got so much hate recentely?

She's getting hate?  Really?  Oh, weird.

 

Personally, I thought this was a good season for her.  In the Scootaloo episode and the Wonderbolt episode, her character got much better.  She was perfect in those episodes. 

But, in the rest of the season...she was a bit much.  In the Crystal Empire episodes, she was rather pushy.  In the Discord episode, she was so against Discord, more than the others. 

And I never liked Dashie too much.  xD  At the moment, shes my least favorite.  But I still love her.

I don't see any hate...then again, I've mostly kept to FiMfiction the past few months. 

 

Rainbow Dash is a perfectly fine character, and that is noticed by most people especially during this season, with her star episodes and all. Like everyone else said, Rainbow isn't flawless, she still punched the Crystal Ponies and didn't give Discord a chance. If that's what people want to hate, doesn't matter. Don't let them bother you.

I dont hate Rainbow Dash, I think she is ................awesome! or 20% cooler both work. Besides she got best epsiodes centered on her at least, finishing two big events: her relationship with Scoots, and the wonderbolts history. I consider these two major events in her life, haters gonna hate

I was not always a huge fan of RD. Never hated her, but never really loved her as a character either. Season 3 has actually changed this for me quite a bit. The character advancement with her in S3 was very well done in my opinion and that is something that I really want to see more of. I have defended the Twilicorn thing ever since MMC and this is one of the reasons why. Developing characters like this can really make them more interesting, likable, and open up many possibilities down the line. Because of Twilicorn, I am now very much looking forward to seeing Rainbow Dash join the Wonderbolts one day. The doors are open for it now and it can all be worked towards over time. With this, I see myself liking RD even more as time goes by, if they do it right.

Rd gets hate because she is the best character to ever be created in My little pony history , she is the innovation of firefly which was our creators Laurens Faust favorite pony. She has the most action paced episodes , the most character development and a fantastic design. so yeah... if you  cant beat em hate on em. and as fan favorite twilight sparkle is starting to have her fall from grace evreyponys now trying to take that bestpony spot

I really have no idea. I mean myself, I have no clue about why everyone hates Rainbow Dash. I mean people see something like the "Mare Do Well" or any one of those other episodes where she only cares about herself. But, then other episodes she does a complete 360 and does something completely uncharacteristic of her. Let's take "Hurricane Fluttershy" from Season 2 for instance. For like half the episode instead of caring about herself and being the best she could be. She's worried about Fluttershy and wanted to help bring her out of the dumps. And then at the end when Spitfire is praising Rainbow Dash. Once again she does a complete 360 and instead of talking about how awesome she is. Rainbow praises Fluttershy instead. I mean there are some episodes that bring out her very worst qualities. But, in others they make her look so much better, it's obvious Rainbow really does care about every pony. Sometimes she just lets her pride get in the way a little bit.

First of all, I just want to say that i DO like Rainbow Dash, but through watching this fandom grow, I have noticed something particular for Rainbow Dash.

 

When people of the male gender who identify with very masculine values is introduced to the show, they immediately look for something masculine or "cool" to cling on to. Rainbow Dash is said "thing". She is a brash and awesome athelete and she doesn't do the "girly stuff".

 

Men cling to her (sometimes) because she makes MLP "cool".

 

This is also my reasoning as to why Fluttershy is so popular too. When grown men say they like Flutters it's one of those "securing my masculinity" sort of thing. You know what I mean? Like when guys wear pink because "real men wear pink".

 

So it seems like these characters would be loved no?

 

OF COURSE THEY'RE LOVED.

 

BUT. sometimes its the RD and FS fanboys who get a little in the way of that. I personally don't really care that much. But I've heard from others in the fandom say that's why they don't particularly love certain characters. 

 

And that's my theory.

I don't hate Rainbow Dash, Yet I don't Like her much either,

she's way too over rated for my liking, everyone seems to love her, I just don't get it,

I'll admit she's Progressed throughout the Series Becoming More loving and Caring, But I just don't find her to fit my style.

The Mysterious Mare Episode Ticked me off to a Huge Extreme as I actually hate people who act like that with Passion, only because of Life Experiences,

Other than that There's Nothing for me to hate, But she's Over Rated In My Mind,

I've asked around 400 Bronies their Favourite Pony and 272 of them were Rainbow Dash, I find that a bit over the top,

But I wont Say She Gets a lot of Hate, Just People Being Jealous Of her being Noticed More than the other Ponies.

I would have to say Fluttershy and Twilight are my two Favourites and Yet they don't get as Much Love as Dashie In Some Cases.

As the old saying goes:

I haven't been as active in the brony community recently, mostly due to the fact that I fell I am the only brony in my area, so I haven't seen much Rainbow hate. I think they should all just back or be squished by the deathly meteor that is the MLP cult.

That is my opinion.

I haven't noticed Rainbow Dash hate super recently, but I do remember her getting some backlash in Season 2, presumably because she had some pretty bad moments. While I can certainly see why people would dislike Dash - her brashness and over-competitiveness are a huge turn-off for people, I'm sure - I don't get why anyone would outright hate her. Nor do I get why anyone would hate any member of the mane six. It just feels weird to me that someone would watch a show that involves a character they hate being so prominent in it. While my current favorite of the mane six is a toss-up between Rainbow and Pinkie, it would be extremely difficult for me to say which of the mane six is my least favorite. In my opinion, they're all great.

And she's the only character that hasn't shown flaws in season 3.

Not true one thing I have noticed about Rainbow Dash throughout the series including season 3 is that when it comes to not only expressing but recognizing emotions she can be a bit dense sometimes. In Sleepless in Ponyville Rainbow Dash did eventually notice that Scootaloo was scarred but not until the end, it was actually Applejack who first noticed that something was wrong she may not have known what was bothering Scootaloo but she knew something was up. Part of this is due to Rainbow Dash's reluctance to express emotions due to her insecurities which of course can often cause someone to not see those sorts of things in others, this even was mentioned during the scootalove scene at the end where she said "if you tell anyone I will deny it."

 

Rainbow Dash still has quite a bit of work to do on her emotions but opening up to Scootaloo is a good first step which presents excellent opportunities for character development for both of them. And in Wonderbolt Academy though she ultimately did the right thing Rainbow Dash did go along with Lightning Dust at first so there was a bit of inner conflict there between the side of her that wants to do "whatever it takes" and her conscience.
