Yes, I was just as surprised as you, since I live across the Causeway and it's only an hour from where I am.

I think I'm going to resurrect this thread since Derpycon South is only 2 months away now.

 

I am planning on trying to go since it's only about a 2 hour drive for me. I know that there will probably be only about 500 attendees, but it's their first year. It's a small convention with only a few guests, though some are unannounced. I would enjoy just hanging around with my fellow bronies. I know that, as of right now, it looks like the special where the first 50 attendees who use Derpycon's special hotel rate get a sponsors pass is still valid. At least thats what they made it seem like on their website.

 

Anyway, is anyone else here planning on, or are going to Derpycon South? Only two more months. I think it's time to start making plans.

Not me. First of all, I have no money. School will be taking my money for books and other essentials, so yeah. Second, I hate people and being around people in general, so that presents many problems for me right there. I wish I could go, but it's better that I don't.
